Summer, Usa, Yes

Summer is here! Many like cold beer, So, listen to the sound of caps popping! Kids playing, swimming and laughing. Tonight's All Star Game is here! The pizza delivery man brings food, cokes and great cheer. Living in the USA....no question, is so very much more than dear! 7/9/2019 3pm PST

He had All Star Practice that night. But! He's always in my heart. He is here now....I don't know how tall he will be, I am guessing 6 Feet or more.he has an athlete's body and the soul of an Angel the the humor of the gods. Panagiota

Gotta' love summer. I just checked my soup mail for the first time and saw your comment. The poem in question is personal in that it's more about my father. His generation had a huge drinking problem which...saints be praised...did not transfer to any of the children. Many of my cousins and myself do not drink alcohol. I always hoped my father would find faith but not to be. It must be so lonely to believe in nothing. Have a great day my friend.

David, it must have been some time ago I sent that letter. Your father is in the right place now. I wrote a poem about my husband who died at 40 from booze. So glad this did not pass down your family line. Clue: kids age 12 are at AA meetings now the problem far from over. Now they have drugs added? Alcohol is a drug in itself, golly. Panagiota

LOL...I wasn't making fun of the USA. Grandson's goal is to be in the MLB. He's at Little League All Star practice so will miss part of the game. His Mom, at a school board meeting. I will watch what I can of All Star Game,PR
