SUMMER QUEEN

Hope I'm the only one you call Beb
Every time you go to Bed
Keep it low-key with them Blues
Or listen to my lyrical Bars
You Promised to be my only
I go keep it a hundred with you Bae
You pretty thick with some big Booty
I love everything 'bout your Body
Go put on your Bikini
Lemme take you out to the Beach
Bang you hard from the Bay
With no sweeting in its coastal Breeze

Premium Member a feeling of quietude

there is a feeling of quietude about the coast
I wonder about the sea, a lingering kind of ghost
romantical and soothing, she brings me to myself
I ponder her inflections, admiring her shelf.

the line is asymmetrical, which appeals to my artistic side.
the lapping water at her edges are dainty in the tide.
she has a unique feeling, that inspires me to want to write.
I feel inspired by this place, she makes my heart feel light.

A pen in hand, my readiness has quintessential power.
tiny glimpses of the horizon show me a potential shower
the coast is as meditative as any natural place can be
I marvel at her beauty, she brings me to the sea.

Ferry crossing

The ocean
Gave a gift to me
A coin for passage
Across the sea
To pay the ferryman
Should I need to cross
To light the lanterns
So I won't
Get lost

Seaside Break

ocean
curtains

torn bed
salt scents

my eyes
rip tide

footprints
shore fixed

water
spiller

seagulls
cry, girl

she churns
the surf

White sand, aqua blue Speedo
Umbrella drinks by the pool
Bikinis taunt my libido
What a fool, I'm covered in drool

Then, Beach Patrol spied my spit-slick
Flowing from rented umbrella
They handcuffed me to my joystick
But, I'm still one lucky fella

Premium Member The Perfect Dream

Last night as I drifted off to sleep
My dream filled my mind with you
A dream so real I had to make a wish
That someday my dream would come true

We were standing by the waters edge
On a beautiful white sandy shore
We were lost in each other's eyes
I was longing as you craved for more

I wrap my arms snugly around you
And I held you there close and tight
As we watch the sun fall in the ocean
And the stars shine on our perfect night

After a while you turned looking at me
We both leaned in and our lips they met
Loves was tingling its way down my spine
I knew then my future with you was set

I knew that I had to have you forever
From now to the last day of my life
I had no ring but that didn't stop me
I asked you if you would be my wife

Hi May

Hi January
I miss you
ah, not you
but January. I miss May,
who smiled in the flower field
to the strains of the melancholic song
that played in my head at that time.

Hi May, let's go together again to January
so I can see you again
spinning merrily
among those swings.

Hello May
You will sit again by the North Sea
catching the tide
as I loved it.

And May,
walk again in the dim lights of the old city
with your steps in those white shoes
and I with the night drizzle,
admiring you then.

And now the drizzle is falling
Missing you again
In the alternating drizzle

Dance among the crashing waves

A dance among the crashing waves
The turbulent sea on the shore
Rolling with white sand
The fragility of a body in pieces
In footprints that have left behind
The wind blows on the waving strands
Like a dance in the shadows at the edge of the beach
When fingers clasp
The waves run
Clashing against towering rocks
Playing with dreams at the end of the day
As if the sun will never go away

Your Shore

There's a beach where the sand
Won't get in your shoes
Or stick to your skin
When you're covered with sweat.

The shore's always clean
No trash or dead fish
And the water's still
Clear enough to drink.

In your mind, I hope and pray,
There's room for me
To kick that sand around
And be with you on your shore.

morning sonnet

Morning Sonnet

The news this morning was something new
Greece has a banana plantation near
Mount Olympus, and they  are yellower and
bigger than bananas from Greenland
A British surgeon pleaded guilty to cutting
off his legs to satisfy a sexual need
Try as I might, I struggle to understand how
The removal of legs can be sexually  necessary
On Thursday next week, they are removing
a growth on my left side, can the surgeons
be trusted to find and remove the cyst

Gaza sonnet has 14 lines

Gaza Sonnet
A doctor`s house with two daughters came under artillery fire
while he who worked at the hospital in Gaza
Trying to save life after yet another Israeli attack, lost both
His children, the military late apologized.
After the funeral, the good doctor did not seek help for his
Immense suffering , but carried on working while
grief unburdened was eating him up.
One day he went to the beach the sea was calm and blue
He undressed and began swimming he had to get away
A strong swimmer he swam long before an Israeli gunboat
blew him out of the water, red turned to pink and then
ack to calming azure as the warped thinking of the occupiers
said go he should have sought psychological help
For sorrow so deep that no well-meaning words suffice

Premium Member The lighthouse at Battery Point, Crescent City, CA

The lighthouse
alone on the hill
just a tree at its side
its beacon
that light

It casts a long light
in a long blink
and then it's gone
in a spin
to mark the shore within

It sits on its own island
only accessible on low tide
the path a bridge
mercurial moat that hides it

The building is lit at night
as well as its beam
presenting an eerie glow
In the fog it seems

Almost haunted
romantic
so substantial

It's survived tsunamis
wrapped around its base
which left no trace
as they ravaged inland

A sight to see
A hike I intend to aspire
up those circular stairs
to peer out through that light tower

Premium Member Where the Pacific meets the Coast

The beach climbs are harder
the rocks turn my feet
and I find myself walking on my ankles
wading through sand

But the photos at sunset
or as the moon rise
are such a surprise

Like paintings
like fine art
witnessing the beauty of nature
as it shows us all of the basis for inspiration
everywhere

The sea air is so refreshing
the tang of salt
its cool crisp feel
as it laps past me
and blows my hair

The sheen of the sun and the moon
off the water
and it undulates and ripples
It's mesmerizing and beautiful

I seek out the lighthouse
to capture its beauty on the horizon
Its glow too settles on the ocean
and lights the scene in a way
that makes it seem like a painting

A huge downed redwood tree on the beach
a sculpture in driftwood now
but so big as to be a playground

The natural wonders of this place continue to provoke me
and keep me wanting more
from the tiny bits of rock on the ground
to the magnificent scenes in the sky
my senses are always tuned in

And here I share them with you....
