Premium MemberMy Secret Plight

Shadows shift in flickering flame
Vows made, now stained with your name
Our flame, once bold and bright
Now wanes upon this cold, stark night

I see the distance in your eyes
Reflecting echoes of love’s goodbye
Emptiness fills your silent stare
A longing still lingers in the air

Your heart, once gentle, has lost its grace
Betrayal bleeds—a bitter taste
Sarcasm drips from lips once sweet
A soured promise, my heart retreats

Through veins of passion, ice takes hold
Your touch, once warm, now a numbing cold
Loneliness wraps around us tight
This silent suffering, my secret plight

Our flame that waltzed is now a wisp
A puff of smoke from a burnt-out wick
Haunted by love that burned too fast
Our fading ember, reduced to ash

Premium MemberMOUSE PRINCESS

MOUSE PRINCESS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In a kingdom where cheese was the prize,
Lived a mouse princess with green eyes.
     She donned a small crown,
     Above her royal gown,
And danced under moonlit skies.
She hosted royal balls in the night,
With her friends, the brave bugs in flight.
     They waltzed across the floor,
     While the cats did snore and snore,
And the cheese wheels rolled with delight.
“Oh, dear!” squeaked the princess with glee,
“The best party’s here. Hurry! Come and see!”
     With a nibble and bite,
     We’ll feast till the morning light,
And toast with a crumb of brie!
Dance of a Time Past
I finally went dancing again
This time my partner was a ghost from the past
Their movements so fluid that it felt like I was on an island
Their touch so cold I thought I would catch hypothermia
Their face so distorted colors bent and contracted around them
We twirled and waltzed throughout the night
We both knew the steps
One step, two step, pause, pull away, pull them in, twirl
But something was different
I could no longer feel that spark that once was there
That electric feeling that sent shivers down my spine is gone
I feel nothing as our eyes meet
I don't feel the rhythm in my heart
I don't feel a sweet sensation meeting my taste buds
All that once was is gone
I guess that's what it means to dance with a ghost.
Premium MemberSkating Upon Saturn's Rings
Come! We'll fall into Saturn's ice arms
We'll skate on her rings as moons arise
On my toes, I'll spin woes into charms
see amethyst form storm's sultry skies
Smile at lightning's attempted disguise.
We'll skate together and then alone
leaving imprints, as settlers perhaps
Marking a path for others to own
among icey confines, Nature's lapse
finding wonder, unable to grasp
Skating back and forth on Saturn's rings,
you stop to stir stardust into night
Enchanted moments we hope to bring
in dreams, perhaps. or by candlelight
songs of the Muses, in frigid flight
Wayward clouds, silken-spun, drift away
They waltzed in tunes from a spilling crest
Dawn's faint hues entice night into day
I gather stars and place in your vest
Sadly, we leave, for we were but guests
To Be Or Not To Be The End
When Mr Darcy brought my hand to his lips
Drenched in sweet longing before the scale tips
I, fraught with naivety and desire
Held trust cast into the furnace of mire
Dear friend, two offspring, a dog and a cat
In our fineries we waltzed to 'Take That'
Unbeknown to me, alas we were three
Lipstick etched upon my fine filigree
Teeth gnashing, I challenged indiscretion
He dismissed my genteel inquisition
Contact made with a bedpan appliance
Hence, now divorced in act of defiance
Dear reader, this ends with no tale of woe
On the dating app, I curtsey and go
Troubled Love INSIGHT
             The thoughts are risen: But nobody to listen;
             Hot breaths from lungs continually waltzed over skin.
Everyday my sleepless heart cries alike the pouring rain.
I wish there could have been a “traffic signal” just to notify us
In times like these we cannot presume everything to be normal.
              Doused frantic emotions stare at the glim.
              Finding the gimmick of Love!
Let's dance together amidst the flower and devour Nature's power.
Amidst all the false accusations & tensions...
Our Undying divine love overflows boundlessly demanding immeasurable unite.
Bigfoot's Christmas Dance
Twas the night before Christmas, all calm in the air,
But chaos was brewing, quite sneaky and rare.
The stockings were hung, but one had a hole,
And the tree had a wobble, it started to roll!
The snowflakes were falling, so soft and so bright,
Yet something was off, just didn’t feel right.
I glanced at the cookies, but oh what a sight,
They’d vanished, not one, they were gone overnight!
The reindeer were restless, their hooves on the roof,
But I heard something strange, a loud clanging hoof!
I peered through the window, with wide-open eyes,
Saw Santa and Bigfoot, under moonlit skies!
“Ho ho ho!” Santa laughed, with a wink and a grin,
Bigfoot just waved, then gave a big spin.
They danced through the snow, with a festive cheer,
Who knew they were friends? It was crystal clear!
The elves in the workshop were all taking bets,
Who’d out-dance whom, as they waltzed with no regrets.
Santa gave one final jolly ol' shout,
“Merry Christmas to all!” as they spun round about!
Laughter and joy filled the frosty night air,
The magic of Christmas, beyond all compare.
So if you hear footsteps on Christmas Eve night,
It may be Bigfoot and Santa, dancing with light!
Premium MemberSeptember Falls - NFC
Swirling winds waltzed with tumbling golden leaves
Each one torn from limbs by the rustling thieves
Painted scenery, every September
Tinged russet like a smoldering ember
Enchanting, the hues of forests and hills
Mother Nature colors landscapes with frills
Brushed each Autumn, with her artistic hands
Exhibiting beauty across her lands
Rouged, the season as if in crimson blush
Fall's grandeur often arrives with a rush
Apple orchards have ripened for picking
Lasting thirty days, the clock is ticking
Limited is the time and splendor of
September: windswept month I've come to love
I miss
Forcing myself
to live in green-
belt of forest with
no civil comforts or concerns
I don’t flinch. I won’t.
Living in
extremes of
two seasons
cinder-hot Sun
drowning rain
I don’t complain, I can’t
one summer was different
A passionate couple
Fire-Air, waltzed through
acres of my nearby forest,
grey-burning lives small & big –
I didn’t cry.
After HER party, I
went to see the charred
landscape, my heart thumped
wild, I could feel my soul in throat –
I didn’t cry
I stilled my thoughts - I
knelt  to feel, I knelt
to beat coal-black ground, I
thumped chest, I flayed my
hands to sky, I howled,
Roared, wailed, cried
I clenched my fist,
boxed at guiltless air, I
called his partner names –
I sobbed back to silence
With impotent-raging silence
my hands cradled a tiny
dying burnt bird gasp for last
gulp of air, I knelt
in silence. That day
I cried, I missed God that day
I sobbed back to silence
Pliers
A needle nose pliers, polished like glass, damp
with tears and sweat, but not from rote plumbing leaks,
needed a good buffing at the Dust Rag Camp.
It slow-waltzed across the street where no one speaks
and mimed a tale of woe beneath a dusty lamp
intently viewed by neglected toolbox freaks.
One grand gesture of support from each to all
gratitude like oil oozed to soothe the gall.
Premium MemberImplausible Thought
Your onyx hair curled and cascaded wild,
some swirled in the stream of craving squall,
some laced the lilting lattice of lust
on your forehead of ivory canvas,
carving contours of evanescent charisma.
I can’t believe I thought that was your last image.
Your almond eyes of sapphire sea waltzed
to the melodic concerto of mesmeric music,
the eyelids danced with the flutter of butterfly,
floating in the air of yearning on charming wings,
weaved the wondrous fabric of trance.
I can’t believe I thought that was your last dream.
Your crimson cheeks soaked to shine
the patina of the blooming rose I adored,
spreading seductive fragrance in beguiled breeze,
with the touch of my desire caressing your face,
rippling with rapturous hues of glowing glamour.
I can’t believe I thought that was your last portrait.
The rose buds bloomed on your luscious lips,
swathed in lilac luster of the sunburst dawn,
the entrancing allure flashed with gorgeous glow
like pearls of dew on petals of pink rose,
shining like a star in the sequined sky.
I can’t believe I thought that was your last smile.
Dancing Penguins
On the ice where the cold winds blow,
A group of penguins put on a show.
With flippers that flap,
And feet that tap,
They danced in the moonlight's glow.
In tuxedos black and white,
They waltzed all through the night.
With a slide and a glide,
And a spin to the side,
Their moves were quite the sight.
They boogied to the beat of the drum,
Twirling on icebergs just for fun.
With a hop, skip, and jump,
They would thump, thump, thump,
Until the morning sun.
So if you ever feel blue,
Just think of the penguin crew.
With a dance and a prance,
In their icy dance stance,
They'll bring joy to you too!
Title 3/ Air
Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.
(Ralph Waldo Emerson)
Live in the sunshine:
As the air strolls neath the elaborate branches
Weaving between dreams of the world
Of crimson sunshade across the spring sky stanzas patches
Waltzed into world's tunes power unfurled
Swim the sea:
Of serene air that starts to sate swan swim
Transcending forward wonder-less
In Refreshing spring strokes of blue sea hymns
Numberless and endless
Drink the wild air:
Spellbound by the silence sweet scent ray’s streaks
Among the aroma of petrichor
Effulgent on limitless verdant mountain peaks
Viewing, embracing, and sharing her
