the abandoned house was full of mice
I brought in my snake, Mr. Nice
he made sandwiches of each little beast
I watched him gulp down his squeaky feast

Swish of ripples weave
along a ledge...my hands pretending
to rap beneath inked stars ;
while soft winds chime a lonely chorus
filling the shoreline
with empty rhythm and blues;
the ones which lightly twitch my heart--
Every note jangling, crawling
in this stained night...
for the love I know best
gushes out, unnoticed and aloof,
still I pray " by the squeaky old gate
that tomorrow will find" him...as mine:
seasons pass like long processions
that in final screams of angst,
I learn to dance alone...

Why do we call the good old days,
good?
Grandma was always talking,
talking about the days that had passed.
I wonder if they were really that good,
or does our mind play a trick on us?
Grandma loved sitting on her porch,
looking out over her land in her rocking chair.
Now the old rustic white fence,
is falling down from the last storm.
Her once beautiful flowers are all dead,
dead just like her.
"By the squeaky old gate that tomorrow will find,"
sits an old tan and orange alley cat.
Oh how she loved to feed her stray cats,
then play with their furry kittens.
Will the squeaky old gate find a new tomorrow,
or be torn down and rebuilt with cement?

"Go along to get along" a wise man he once said
(altho' I don't concur)
but it occurred to me
neither follower nor leader be if you want to get ahead
and if the herd you stroll behind please do consider the view
(but not too closely)
yet what is worse yes you may curse
that which you step into
some believe the squeaky wheel it should be removed
(not receive the grease)
as all's smooth-run when replaced by a working one
or so it has been proved
to mindlessly open the mouth thoughtless of going kaput
(only to change feet)
it seems to me an opportunity to put a bullet in one's foot
the nail that sticks out it should be applauded
(not hammered down)
as one may fall for anything
and those who stand for something they should be rewarded
tho' possibly preaching to the choir some say it's idle chatter
(willy-nilly silly patter)
let's not forget to forgive or to live and let live
as ALL lives matter

My name should be Lucille.
I am that squeaky wheel.
If some things wrong I'll weigh it.
I'm not afraid to say it.
Some may not want to know her.
She's been a whistle blower.
I'm not a quiet bird.
My voice is always heard.
I'll never give you peace, so
just give me that grease.

Everyone has a squeaky friend.
One who sings their praises to the end.
If you don't, I am sad for you.
One is great, terrific to have two!

Is one more silly ball
silly balls
Wheres els follow the vow
Wonky words that wreak wonder
Science tis
or was it was
The cat gets out of the contract
with some unusual clause
would already failed
wood already flailed
Let her not a letter
A literate at rate
words of broken hearts
words that start the wars
or just simple
words of beauty
that honour squeaky drawers

Provided our golden with so much joy
Drove her insane, bought her a squeaky toy
Ripped it to shreds
Till she thought it was dead
Gave me such satisfaction to watch her enjoy

I looked behind me when I heard a squeaky little bark
From out of the bushes, a kangaroo-looking creature rose
His bright green eyes flashed neon signs at me in the dark,
then he raised his long piggy snout and struck a silly pose.
"Have you escaped from the zoo to wander in the park?"
His bunny ears flopped before he wiggled long-clawed toes.
He replied, "No. I'm looking for ants cuz I'm an aardvark."
I invited him to join me for dinner at the café, Java Joes.

When I was walking down the corridor once,
Thinking about school philosophy and rationale,
I was stopped by the school doctor dead;
He wanted to know why I was being so personal,
So contemplative, introspective and distant,
In a community which challenged and enthused me,
To never be in any way off my head.
I told him I was thinking about nature and school,
And he replied to me with speed that I was not,
So I answered that it was philosophy that I had got;
He relinquished that I was fine all the same,
Since it was school that I was thinking of anyway,
So I retorted straight “What do you mean? -
That I had been reading philosophy lean.
So we had a conversation about philosophy,
But I can't remember what was said,
But I found him more appropriate in the days ahead,
When he talked to me with his essence,
And not just with his mind or presence:
He told me he was interested in my spheres,
And so I asked him about the problem with my head.

My lady friend living far away wrote a HOT poem about a sensual shower ( Squeaky Clean) and I had to answer........
Having read a little ditty,
that really made me very giddy,
'bout a lady who relieves her tension
with a special shower wand extension.
T'was both erotic and quite witty
changed her shower into 'Fun City"
How I fantasized this bathing beauty
soaping down from head to booty.
My envy's drove by hedonism
of her super hand-held mechanism,
All on which she can explore
the buttons and controls galore.
Controls from softest to extreme,
to hit high C, or even scream.
In my mind's eye, I can see
her hit all the spots, from "A" to "G"
I'm getting older, long in tooth,
body crumbling, mind uncouth.
I've known the reaper, and sure that he
could shortly take a trip with me.
Although you feel that I'm obsessed
I'd like to make one last request......
To the Power that oversees
reincarnate me if you please.
Let me come back from the dead,
as this Lady's "Razzle-Dazzle" shower head.......

Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme,
With Charles Manson did roam.
Tried to assassinate President Ford,
A prison cell was her reward.

Once my leather shoes made me proud with their softness and luster,
but after eleven months of heavy usage they have lost all glamor;
even small thorns and nails can penetrate their worn-out soles;
ah, squeaky, squeaky shoes...you annoy me when steady rain falls!
