Patient is the seductive moon,
Veiled in a black gossamer veil,
Clouds grip the night
Evoking an emotional imagination.
Singing in silence, kindred stars
Light up in an impressionist dance
In the infinite serene heavens.
The stage under its feet,
A reflection of itself.
Untidy, cold, resonant, sonorous sounds
Of the sea and briny air roll inland.
Calm waves silently creep,
Leaving a slight silvery spume
Over the golden-tanned sand,
Then slowly drawing a breath,
Taking it back into its dark,
Moonlit glow, turquoise depth.
The seductive moon smiles
In the pleasure it gives.
She is my star, Amaryllis,
who, beneath the full moon, sleepily caresses
the foam of southern seas beside the atoll of Harmony...
Night after night (waiting for a miracle)
I wander in a fever dream near the Cape of Hopelessness;
I yearn for her helpless tenderness...
When the first rays of dawn finally light up the horizon
and the voice of a distant bard is carried on the breeze,
I’m breathless with amazement…
Amaryllis slowly emerges from the waves in a long, silver robe
tinged with the hue of pink seashells.
Pearls like tears glisten in her thick, curly copper hair,
and moonlight gleams upon her sandals of seaweed...
The surf roars, the sky descends toward the water.
She raises her slender arms and casts upon me the net
of her capricious desire.
Suddenly, I sink into the depths...
a young woman
a seductive beauty
coquettish
unidentified
the artist paints with soft delicate strokes
his brush an extension of his hands
breaths of deep love
the pigment colorful
oh, was the artist hopelessly smitten
she is elegant
her auburn hair elaborate
in a style of the times
sitting in a three quarter profile
engaging the viewer
with her eyes
magnetic
she wears a vivid yellow dress
with a pearl necklace
and earrings
such details
though the brushstrokes are bold
they speak of a passion and love
her skin smooth and cheeks blushed
on her wrist a coral and green bracelet
giving a depth of whimsical
to the art
she holds a calm tabby cat to her heart
light brown with odd gold eyes
folded paws speaks of calmness
the cat has a sensual aura also
was the cat a gift perhaps
my mind seeks answers
oh, those eyes follow me as I
move away . . .
so much
that I can still feel them
dancing corncob wearing hot sunglasses
pinches the maize, making lewd Epstein passes
try to ignore him, we tell the pumpkins and crow
corncob wiggles and jiggles past them, to and fro
I can but the pigs cannot, the scarecrow says
they are smitten by the corncob, easily led
I tried to speak to the sows who laughed me down
who is this joker? Who is this bossy clown?
The corncob is waving his seductive kernels around
a bigger personality is rarely anywhere found
I grab his glasses and run off to tear them up
The pigs carry him off, to their den, to sup.

In a world where seductive whispers find echo in ears seeking solace,
People gravitate towards sweet illusions, like moths drawn to a burning flame,
The wicked cling to this earth like an anchor in a troubled sea,
Placing their hopes in leaders and ideologies, in movements that seem to promise salvation,
But the world collapses, rotting under the weight of vain dreams and petty ambitions.
True believers, like solitary stars in the night sky, break away,
Prepared for a Kingdom that knows no boundaries of this fleeting world,
A Kingdom where peace and light reign, where storms do not trouble the sky,
His Kingdom come, a realm of hope and eternity that will never end,
And its glory knows no bounds, like an endless ocean in the morning light.
For the majesty and power of the King of this Kingdom have been revealed to those who see,
And their souls sing in harmony with the silence, feeling eternity in every moment,
In this stream of consciousness, where reality and faith intertwine like a mirage,
We wander with open hearts, seeking the truth that will free us from the chains of time,
As the sky opens, revealing a universe of love and pure light.
she sat casually on the edge of the bridge
