WASHED AWAY BY THE TIDE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I see the vestiges of yesterday,
echoes of mistakes,
like footprints in the sand,
that the time of time washed away.
Every mistake,
is like a grain of sand on the beach,
a sandcastle of errors,
mistakes that the tide of time washes away.
the wind of self-forgiveness
pulls me up, propelling me
beyond the limits
of mistakes I made yesterday.
I hear the wind, realizing…
the sky does not stop the dawn
for the clouds that came in.
nor does the river mourn
the stones that once obstructed its flow.
the beautiful truth—
*There is so much more to me
than my faults.
I am the promise
of who I am yet to be.
*Note:“You’re so much more than your mistakes.” quoted from Dr. Wayne Dyer
a mirror lies cRaCkEd in the sand—
folding sky into w a t e r
water into s k y
the offing n e b u l o u s as HOPE
a melancholy stains t.u.r.b.u.l.e.n.t w a t e r s
washing up on the shores of Life
icy waves reaching
the tenuous sandcastles
I had built in the sky—
an undercurrent
dragging my dreams out to sea …
fading with time—
riPPled dreams
like riLLs on the breach
HOPE threads through
fire rainbows of my mind
as t.u.r.b.u.l.e.n.t tides d i s s o l v e
the ammil in my heart
—thawing—
trickling beyond the breach …
Build me a sandcastle of drifting dream,
just to scatter every particle in the wind...
Lay me under the burden of brokenness,
until the shore gives in to a new dream.
We ask if there be merit in the sand
Conformed from heart and hand on summer’s day?
However well the moat and turrets planned,
The lapping of the sea’s not far away.
O, that the tide shall come, we know too well:
Then dream and substance shall together fall.
A Babylon for which no tongue shall tell;
The sea, the settling sea, shall settle all.
And that shall come, but yet, it is not now,
And all of time is moments such as these;
Before the fall, there is not need to bow;
The sea shall come, but now, the warming breeze.
And if it soon shall end, as so it be,
There’s yet our moment still, before the sea.
We built our kingdom of sand and dreams
A fortress of shells and seaweed streams
We dug our moat with buckets and spades
And prayed the tide would not invade
Our walls were high our towers tall
But storms came and watched them fall
The sea devoured our sandy home
Leaving us stranded feeling alone
Gone are the days of carefree play
Building castles on the beach all day
For we have learned that nothing lasts
Everything even dreams get washed away
And so we stand and watch from afar
As people build their castles near the shore
We know they too soon will be gone
And so we mourn for whats been done
Waves wash the canvas clean
Allow for building the dream
Some are elegant
Others are tall
Waves remove them all
Sea-veiled land has emeralds with shamrock
Green grass has a soft and carpet-like hue
Sandcastle at the beach with hay and rock
Sea-veiled land has emeralds with shamrock
The sun shines radiant gold, bathes, and shocks
That it might be over soon with no clue.
Sea-veiled land has emeralds with shamrock
Green grass has a soft and carpet-like hue
as summer befalls a moonless night
if only to the depths of my heart
i hold my breath and draw you near
you are as silent as the sky is still
why must i read between the lines
and sleep not be my guest tonight
again and again the tide to and fro
does my heart beat in vain
for a tomorrow that may never come
Not all the people we love are meant to stay in our lives. But each person we meet either teaches us or helps us in some way.
Sandcastle lesson
By Michelle Morris
26/04/2020
Together we built up
Our relationship,
Like a sandcastle in
The sun.
We didn't heed the
Waves of life,
That kept on
Rushing in.
The waves washed away
That sandcastle;
Tore it down completely.
Just like our
Relationship dreams,
That disappeared so quickly.
We were left,
Divided,
Our union not
Blessed by fate.
The lessons
Learned,
The broken hearts;
Were all that
Life provided.
Years later,
We met again,
The waves were still
And sweet.
Realisation dawned
That our altered paths
Lead to
Loves that were
Truly complete.
Here,
There's no one else but me
to build a sandcastle.
I'm bewildered
by the vastness of imaginary sands
and oceans in a country only existing
within the boundaries of my mind
I lay my hands bare at this island.
The world is festering with wounds,...
Men driling in the earth think they can tunnel a way out.
Only rot will be with you.
Reap what you sow!
A famine now soils your shores
Made in China
Its all a scam you f**king fools
It feasts upon your soul like a gapping lions jaw.
I use the consciousness as a get away trip too.
Smoke one under big door vapors
I stole that from warcloud because you dont know who is really who...
Whody who
The fake owl god demands your sacrifice
Offer up the loot of your womb
Your wicked world will burn
Moarn
In its dawning and bloody pool
You bathe in mens sorrows..
How you delute the truth.
May God be with you, for if not
He will demand repayment, reap his harvest
The end of you.
Woe comes
I can hear it trampling
War horns sync and intune
Four horsemen are coming
Now you will see what the black mirror
Your doom.
When dawn approaches some my fall
While others agreeably consume the truth
My home, an island haven.
Surrounded by the sea.
Moon tides bringing waves in.
Giving peace and tranquility.
In times of need, it is my fortress strong.
Shielding me from the storm.
Where my heart hears its own song
The melody welcoming and warm.
When going out for the day,
Attending to life's demands.
I carry the knowledge that I will find my way,
Back to my castle built on the sands.
The ocean has come to know me well.
There are emotions that we share.
I have found acceptance in this place that I dwell.
Its every nuance I am aware.
Although I am alone, I am not lonely here.
A beautiful constant, is outside my door.
I feel comfort, knowing it is always near.
A bit of paradise, my home at the seashore.
Sandcastle on the Shore
*Poem based on Richard Harris's
singing, "MacArthur Park."
~~~~
Like a child, playing with wet sand,
I tried to keep our sandcastle
together with these very small,
dimpled, suntanned hands.
But the ocean waves coming in,
were infinitely far stronger than
me!
And our castle was being eaten by
the monster sea.
I can't forget our sunny days
at that sentimental beach!
When we thought creating such
a thing was really out of our reach.
Now, you are gone and I recall,
you waving at me from the rear
window of your family car.
As you did, a large wave came!
And our sandcastle and you,
are forever missing.
My little girl heart, oh,how it still
weeps, in this toasty,warm summer
night...
It took us so lomg to make it,
and I know, that I will never be able
rebuild our sandcastle again!
Oh, no!
