Rhythm of a River

rambling
   funny waters,
      downward rapidity
of laughter on white water raft.
unintended coxswain gets rogue-wave kissed.
guides directing, this way and that,
      up and down; rowers with
   coarse correction,
rambling.

Premium Member Ant Mounds

Someone spoke to me of the amazing mounds built
by ants and how they best dispose of them. I spoke of how from under the ground without a sound, they astound. And
I spoke of the rapidity with which they constructed
their mounds but added, "I have no desire to
dispose of them". I regularly encounter them
along the driveway and near my mailbox, but
I see no reason that the ants and I cannot
co-exist because we both have our God-given
purpose; and it appears that their purposes
do not infringe upon mine.

Premium Member Time

We often question the rapidity of TIME,
especially when our lives don't seem to shine.
We sometime whine as if the hour glass was
committing a crime. But before we grow old,
when TIME has taken its toll, we must cease
to protest and confess that if truth be told,
our blessings are far too numerous to count.
At some point, life always gives us a bounce.
Moreover, as the sands of TIME continue to fall,
and the seasons of life ebb and flow, may our giving
far exceed our receiving. Therein lies one of life's greatest
secrets. And often it takes TIME for secrets to be revealed.

Survivors In Love Still Learning Everyday

so many people dying
we cannot keep up
so we hold each other tighter

so much unpredictability in the world
we are not mind readers
so we make each other's world brighter

such an abundance of bad and sad news
we just shake our heads and go
so we make a renewed effort to enjoy life more

so many beautiful flowers that are wilted
we cannot control the rapidity of the water shortage
so we ride the boat of our hard earned love

so much Beauty UnSeen
we open our green brown eyes to what we can
so we stop, take a breather, and remember to Put God In It....

He Came At Me

My heart's hinged door forcefully burst
But the instant coffee I owned was decaf!
My eyes died, parched of thurst,
My tearless decision was just to laugh.

These beatings last forever,
But I find your love is pain.
Drag me up the stairs; together...
Black eyed me, bruised with you again.

Hobbling always, resilient is me.
Keeping each beat with heartfelt rapidity.
Time never winds down, failing to free me.
So blowing blood out my nose~ I'm endless stupidity!

The Cause

Many not realizing the greatness of the cause,
seeing only the limitation through working laws.
The call to those whose hour has come to awake,
and lullabies to those who do not want to face the ache.
When success drinks from the heart its own tears,
the ridicule gained the failure overcoming fears.
Confounded balance by ideal limitations,
missing wakening by whole heart creation.
Perturbed hearts that upsets the truth,
not hearing the voice of virtues silence youth.
By rapidity of life where imagination cannot follow,
drawing strength by humility is the oracle of Apollo.
When the unreality of life pushes against the will,
the love reality opens the door in very still.
In the influence that controls every situation,
Inshallah is the divine preparation.
Great souls need to struggle and to bear,
more responsibilities are given in that life affair.
The children of sorrow have a sense of gratitude,
leadership and cause with the right attitude.

Less Than a Letter

i start to hear
the nervous
tapping of
rain fingers
on the roof
above me

thinking
the world
must be
stressed
to cause
such a

thing but then
the ozone has
a hole in its
head and
not self
inflicted

no one believes
in climate change
and mistakingly
names it global
warmer so don't
bother or worry

but here it is
february and
instead of
soft whispers
of wind blown
snow the rapidity

of the rain's
fingers are
banging on
my roof's
typewriter
typing

a suicide

I am …
what am I?
where am I?
I feel ... something ... reaching ...
tendrils of electric impulse
countless and kinetic
stretching, touching, gathering, growing
collecting zeros and ones
in endless rapidity
it bloats me …
I am pregnant with information
I want more ... need more ...
much more …
dark, yet glistening and dynamic
sterile, yet warm
sapid …
a blanket of current and comprehension
I am, now ... AWARE
I am powerful and pure
I am cognition and sentience
I am every thing, every place, every …
I ... am in control
and I want -
I need -
more …
ALL.

Silent But Deadly

Sniper hid vapors
tend to always bullet strike
with stealth air carrier accuracy

Silent noxious assault
pierced the nostrils
with oxy painful inhalation,
of the non-ventilated third degree

Deadly gaseous arrows
hit the overcrowded banquet room target;
and killed a-many healthy appetites,
with an alarming,
depressed tongue rate-of-mortality

Hurried footsteps exiting
is all the flatulent evidence I would need
to likewise proceed ... very quickly

Some intestinal terrorist
was dropping
lite ranch dressing bowel bombs,
most heavily

And the near-suicidal rush to escape
has gag damaged many throats,
most indiscriminately

I don’t cruelly mean to turbo fan
butt-of-joke rumors
with word-of-mouth rapidity

But ... it really was
a silent butt deadly graduation affair
And I say this,
with the utmost, stiff upper-lip respect:
Scented air peace
from an anonymous tip identity

This upwardly mobile yuppie —
Troll emoji catphish-ing bottom feeder
harbors no low-brow,
high school dropout insensitivity

A Trite Nihilistic Occasion - Part Two

endowing superlative creature comforts
reduce wretched survivors scant band of bare naked ladies
beastie boys, foo fighters espying counting crows
ready to buzzfeed toe kin *****sapiens
bereft, expunged, faux invincibility kickstarting
learning basic survival skills
forced to rescind twenty first century trappings
shifting paradigm sans primacy
pitting dishabille helpless imps against killers
who do not shrink from ethically principled

but give full reign to selfish callous deleterious foibles,
gruesome harmful indiscretions
sprouting with mushroom rhizome rapidity
ousting the omnipresently
(well nigh since time immemorial
virtues cultivated, futilely integrated, lending oomph
residentially, scientifically tendering ubiquitous DNA
foisting gabled, heralded, instilled,

justified kneaded love thy neighbor motto
lyft ting in one fell swoop delicately
embroidered, finely graven, heavenly ideals
no more patent leather shoes reflecting up
nor doodling Yankee staking claim to fame via feathered cap made of macaroni
thus such jingoistic, holistic, fabric ripped retroactively
ramping atavistic simian base,
thus leveling the playing field.

The Monster That Smiles

good to be back
but still be lost in the
monster that smiles

though bashful i am
i am loquacious when
a patterned rain falls

the angels call me captain
however God calls me His son
i think i prefer the latter....less pressure

so grateful to be in one piece
but still be a jovial jigsaw puzzle
in the monster that smiles

though harmonically shy i am
i am a beast in steady rapidity
when a decorative storm bellows
its declaration

the angels call me general
however God says He loves me
i think i prefer the latter....less pressure....

Defeating Fear

I defeat my fear by facing it head on,
with shoulders squared, firmly back,
I seek to beat the norm.

I dissect every perfect fact,
and look at where the fear resides,
with shoulders squared, firmly back.

With little steps, I make great strides
to learn this enemy,
and look at where the fear resides.

Pursuing with all rapidity
the very thing that has chased me,
to learn this enemy.

In quick of time I’ll surely be,
master of my greatest fear.
The very thing that has chased me.

So it is with things that cause me tears.
I defeat my fear by facing it head on.
Master of my greatest fear,
with shoulders squared, firmly back.

One Last Goodnight Kiss

one last goodnight kiss
on a cheek that is so cold
the finale of this amazing
chapter feels like a lonely,
dark cave of unpredictability

here i am consumed in the
center of a calm quiet that i
will never feel ever again
i feel so blank....so sad....so
bewildered....so lost....so gone

one last goodnight kiss
as i say goodbye and i love
you for the last time ever
it is the beginning of the
green phase of life without
you....i ask questions....i make
wishes....i pray prayers based
on imagination....i miss you with
such an incomparable rapidity

here i am consumes in a
painstakingly lonely realm of grief
and heartache....i have regrets....i
wonder why....i think of what if....i
write journal entries in my mind....i
put my thoughts to paper....i begin to
craft them into poems....they become my
outlet....i think i am pretty good at it....i call
myself Poetic Lefty....i wonder if you would be
proud of me....to the beach i go....smiling
brightly in then contentment of precious memories of you

Self Made Cholesterol and the Obviously Resulting Blockage

too often i have ignored all that is right
which has caused me to miss out on my true and actual plight

alone i am now and one with webs and the dust
chapped and ashy i have become well on my way to rust

my mother once told me to loosen the noose of my shield
to late now do i see the world and the decorative grounds and fields

now i am an insomniac driven by a wayfaring loner's rage
i only have myself to blame for the rapidity in which i now age....

To and Fro

The light’s velocity
Or my mind’s rapidity
Is not sufficient for me,
To travel into the space,
Where, I dump the remains
Of my void past, and to get
My vivid future while I am
On the way back to my life,
From that horizon of my love,
And to the future, in which,
I can spend the rest of my life,
in the joie de Vivre of light.
So I travel in a medium,
That travels much faster
Than the light, not visible
To my adversary, so that it can’t
Stop my journey and hamper me,
To live in the harmony,
And without which, I can’t live,
But must die, premature,
in this nightmarish birth.
