Pay Your Dues Poems | Examples

Change

Some days are good
some days are bad
some may be OK
while the rest could be
the very best you ever had
tho' there are those
who go
with what they know
always stay the same
consistency may be the key
but I prefer to up my game
some hands you win
some hands you lose
sometimes you break even
then there's when you have to pay your dues
but when the peculiar becomes the familiar
on the slow road to nowhere
the trick is knowing when to call
rearrange the chips
see where they all fall
it's time to make a change

There is no appointment necessary,
you are free to saunter right in;
Just be sure to read the sign on the door,
mind the subterfuge of fine print;

Results are built out of high maintenance,
don’t mistake turnkey for easy;
It takes alot of effort to stay clean,
our clients reap the benefits;

Be mentally prepared to do the work,
you will cross the finish line first;
Effort needs to remain invisible,
pay your dues with repetition;

Sign on the dotted line the fun begins,
do not be shy we take walk-ins.

Free Town

Free town
There is no free lunch in free town
So wake up to pay your dues
Take up your responsibilities
Face your challenges and
Handle your business like a man
Cos this life is not free any more
To love is either not exceptional
This days the weight of your pocket
Keeps your value even in a
Free town

Free town
Too many people are royal yet not honest
Yes they are royal cos of needs
They are with you cos of what to get
Out of you
Once you are out of their needs
You suddenly becomes a nobody
Learn to be alone sometimes my friend
And watch the world in your silence
Cos you will surely see no
Royalty for free not even in a
Free town

Live

So many shades of gold and green
Food for thought and the snap of pretence
Rolling in a constant so perfect it's unnatural
A creation in a basement would picture more real
So pure my bags are filled unfiltered
Up baby blue and the red kite tousled with white
So heavenly I can taste the candy
Songs sung by the masses mimicking life's triumphant goals
Celebration of the children with bloated tummies
While cages crystallize the withering power
We mock with scaly tears and sagging teats
Circle of death
Step inside and celebrate as we are
United in miserable vibration
Happy birthday to you
Have a slice of fly and contribute more waste
To pay your dues
Kiss the dirt and give thanks to the Lord in your final act
Push
You have returned
Push
Just a flying visit as we face the swarm
So thirsty now, I'm in the window, living while nobody is home
As sadness turns the never-ending story
I am numb
All in on red, as black can't win
The house will be okay

There is more to this law than just saving a child’s life.
It’s the governments control of your daughter or wife.
My thoughts on abortion will always be a moot point.
Morality is something only God should anoint.

In an ideal world, our children would be raised right.
There will always be evil that lurks in the night.
There are perverts and rapists, and those who seek power.
We also have the righteous in their Ivory Tower.

Imagine your pregnant wife had a complication tomorrow.
Would you do all that you could, even beg, steal or borrow?
Think of that doctor who just gave you the bad news.
Abortion is against the law, so you must pay your dues.

Your wife and unborn child are now both doomed to die.
There are no exceptions, it’s illegal and that’s why.
Our government shouldn’t dictate, what’s morally right or wrong.
It’s the woman’s choice, and that’s where it should belong!

The storm brews in horizon hues
Lurking in gray, ominous skies
Prepare to pay your dues
Thunder claps, as the heart cries

Lurking in gray, ominous skies
An attack is now underway
Thunder claps, as the heart cries
Hold onto what you want to say

An attack is now underway
Stay strong, stand against the blowing force
Hold onto what you want to say
Focus and live to stay on course

Stay strong against the blowing force
Have faith and follow the light
Focus and live to stay on course
Let there be no never-ending night

Have faith and follow the light
Prepare to pay your dues
Let there be no never-ending night
The storm brews in horizon hues

Call yourself obstructionist
Who blocks a popular bill
A Democrat, I think not,

From West Virginia still.
You, the arbiter of right?
Your constituents starving,

Coal companies pay your dues
Pharmacies in your pocket,
Stock is the name of your game.

Publicity you're craving
Run for the presidency!
Observe just how far you get.

Wrong is right and right is wrong.
Long is short and short is long.
Black is white and white is black.
Toilet paper we may lack.

All is zero. Zero’s all.
There’s no writing on the wall.
Down is up and up is down.
The scientist is now a clown.

Toes need hands and hands need feet.
Siberia does not need heat.
Cold is hot and hot is cold.
The old are young; the young are old.

Kitties bark and dogs meow.
There is no need of money now.
In shadows, shine. In sunlight, lurk.
He who works hard is a jerk.

Harsh noises blind, and snow storms burn.
No child is left behind. All learn!
Illogic see and reason lose.
Never have to pay your dues!

Dead’s alive; alive is dead.
To sleep well, do not go to bed!
Straight is crooked; Crooked’s straight.
Does heaven even have a gate?

Hell is heaven; heaven’s hell.
All humanity is well.
Light is dark and dark is light.
Peaceful earthlings like to fight.

The rich are poor; the poor have riches.
Politics leave us in stiches.
Night is day and day is night.
Right is wrong and wrong is right.

Heroins Toy

Pulled down to the ground on strings as the puppeteer cackles ,with vacant sleepy sheep like eyes and a slinky vertebrate the marienette does its daily dance ,a dance first started with a seduction of False statements of release and romance to come upon signing the puppeteers contract she says don't worry little puppet I will never bring you harm as long as I can hold u may u never feel marred, she says its an open ended contract so for now you feel assured but what you didn't realize is at the bottom there is some fine print, which reads when ever you can't pay your dues I will withdraw from u and let you fall and crawl alone you will suffer greatly until you find a way to pay the fee, silly little puppet did you really think the warm release was all for free, I greeted u as a friend but yet your still the fool, you were so thirsty, u blindly became my tool ,what the little puppet didn't know is that the puppeteer was always in control the all powerful side show queen held all the power and it is she that pulls ur strings

Whose Hand Will Stand

I desire my hand to endure and stand,
When the harvest toil is done.
We await the hour, yearning for a hallowed land,
Where silence reigns, and the sound of guns is none.

For long we've braved the boundless sea,
Strengthened by tempests, unyielding and free.
But now the time to journey home draws near;
Soon, these waves will carry us no more, I fear.

This burden, this curse, we’ve known before;
Its weight is no stranger to our soul’s cries.
Though flawed from birth, to sin we're sworn,
Yet at home, every deed bears its price.

And you shall pay, your dues divine,
Without bribe or plea to alter the line.
It’s blood, and tears, and toil to bone,
Until the scales of justice stand alone.

I ask you now,
When they summon us home,
Will your hand stand firm?
Where will death find you?
How near or far from the Lord shall you be?

Today's Control

They tell you the way to think
They tell you, you must conform
How many secrets do they keep
How many different suits have they worn

They tell you their share of lies
Pass it off as the whole truth
Hope that you'll keep closed your eyes
While they do the things they do

Don't bother messing with the facts
Facts only get in the way
There's not a fool they haven't met
Unconcerned with what you have to say

Shut your mouth and pay your dues
That is what they think of you
Every thing will work out fine
As long as you don't have a clue

With fingers crossed behind their backs
With lists made up of alibies
As they tell you where you should be at
Pointing to the dead end signs

Premium Member Journey

Unknown at birth
This tour of earth

Blur from the start
Time prompts each heart

Seize then your date
With fickle fate

Each soul comes here
To outwit fear

Start fresh and blank
By river bank

Then journey well
On what you dwell

Your cast and play
You work each day

Think, say and do
What's right by you

Seek to be good
In urge and mood

Round and round here
Seize love not fear

The way is right
When soul feels light

Don't waste your time
On empty mimes

Be good to all
As footsteps fall

Wear well fond wit
Anchor wise fit

Do or do not
And focus plot

Journey love's feel
As wonder thrills

Dare to be you
And pay your dues

Here through life's gate
Live well your fate

Yes it is true:
Life is unfair
Right here on cue
In vivid air.

Yes you can see:
Each with a flair
To do and be
In strange affairs.

Yes you can look:
Seize and stretch sums
Go by the book
To fit what comes.

Yes in the end:
Do all you can
To work and bend
The rules you plan.

Yes time tells you:
To live your best
And pay your dues
With feisty zest.

B8--Poem 34 My Vision

POEM 34 MY VISION

THE LIGHT IS SHINING DOWN FROM

HEAVEN ABOVE & YOU CAN HEAR THE

SWEET SOUND OF JESUS CHRIST LOVE

OVER US.

YOU FIND THAT EVERYTHING WAS SAID

ABOUT JESUS WAS TRUE.EVERYTHING

GOING ON IN YOUR MIND IT IS TIME

TO PAY YOUR DUES.

JESUS LOVES US MORE THAN ANY ONE

KNOW. SO ALL WE HAVE TO IS LOVE

HIM SO.
