Premium Member The Dam Beaver

Anybody Gunna believe her

About the dam beaver

Collecting sticks

Acting like bricks

Water contained

Whose Gunna complain

About the beaver

Having workaholic fever

Dedicated to the project

You got it

Watching the dam thing grow

Just for the wind to blow

Knocking everything down

Making the dam beaver frown

Scurrying back to dry ground

To pick up sticks

That will act like bricks

Creating a dam

That will stand

Nature’s power

Making the dam beaver tower

Over everything

Anointing dam beaver King

Hail my friend

When finished, building the structure to defend

Someone should commend

Check we will send

Allowing the dam beaver to be rich

Running a successful dam business niche

Deed well done

Thank you, you are welcome

Mathew -25:40

I am the keeper of all things

I am the keeper of all things
Always closed and never open
Never to share
Never to whisper
I am the one listening to all your frustrations your aggravations and the things that piss you off in your life your job everything
Never to share
Never to whisper
I am the one sinking in the shadows as a temporary guest
Hearing what they all say about everything yet for me
Never to share
Never to whisper
I am the one that slowly defends in the shadows against nay sayers
Yet for your nay sayers I am also the keeper of all things
Never to share
Never to whisper
While you sit there coldly i want you to remember
I am always closed never open
Never to share
Never to whisper
I am the one to promise never to say a word
For me that is a promise held dearly regardless of what is being said in the shadows
The shadows is where the whispers come from take them for a grain of salt for I have not done anything
At the end of the day
I am the keeper of all things for everyone
Always closed never open
Never to share
Never to whisper

Premium Member The Man in the Elevator Said

The man in the elevator said, as to everyone's dread,
their stomachs all dropped, and the lift suddenly stopped,
"Let's philosophically think, though our situation might stink,
we don't have to work for our boss, that dumb jerk".
Yet, privately, he thought, "I've got a great spot,
next to this buxom beauty. You bet your patootie,
I'm happy as a clam in this tight jam. If we're rescued, I don't give a dam*".

Amidst heartless ho hum

Dunk in this world, taint-less I be,
Quite of the world, world-less still be.

Come, stitch a patch of love ‘pon me,
Or else, my life shall loveless be.

Death, yours be the only bed, where
I can sleep, keeping grace with me.

The journey of life scarce goes straight,
Way-lost me, soon it’ll digress me.

Amidst all the heartless ho hum,
My work still reader-less shall be.

The Clocks Turn Back

Tick tock where clocks turn back
Each hand for hand me back
Two times for going to that
Back track for hour's at
Docked time for landing on
What hour's erased for gone
Stopped time for haven't had
Not time for doing nad
First time for being said
Next time an hour's dead
Lost time for being there
No time for repeat wear
Host time for living well
Changed time for living Hell

Give Me One For The Road

Searching for work can take its toll
hoping this world won’t break your soul
somehow, we ought to spend some time
parking our thoughts and our behinds
longing for those long wooden seats
we turn towards Ashburner Street

One For The Road, what do you say?
the market bar, will be okay
straight glass talk, it’s my shout
here’s to porter, bitter or stout

Working will always take its toll
hoping this world don’t claim your soul
somehow, we ought to spend more time
free from the thought of the daily grind
longing for those long wooden seats
we turn into Ashburner Street

One For The Road, what do you say?
The market bar, will be okay
straight glass talk, it’s your shout
here’s to porter, bitter or stout

Giving up work, retired from toll
hoping this world will save its soul
now we ought to spend, our hard-earned time
refreshing our thoughts, refreshing our minds
longing for those long wooden seats
we return to Ashburner Street

One For The Road, what do you say?
the market bar, will be okay
straight glass talk, one more shout
here’s to porter, bitter or stout.

Premium Member Joy is not a suitcase packed for vacation

We work ourselves to exhaustion
and drive eath other to our limits.
We aim for that elusive destination
that never seems to get much closer.
We strive for the better life of our dreams.
The more we have the more we want
when really we need so little to be happy.

Joy doesn't have to be a target.
It's as simple as our daily habits.
It's being in the moment
Appreciating a warm smile
Extending a caring word
Making a moment's pause
Taking a detour for fresh air
Sitting in the garden...

Joy is gathering these precious moments,
appreciating the present and feeling gratitude.

Premium Member Proclaiming His Fame

A fellow strode right up to me
tightened his belt and set his jaw
         proclaimed his fame gesticulatedly

Taken aback, I mentioned that fame is fleeting
while those who toil in obscurity
         ~ do so until eternity
