Cynical's inimical to the prosper you can foster if you follow her advice
The wave, the nod, the wink's the link, the lubricant of life
It shortens all the miles and trials, the troubles and the strife
The longer that it takes to learn, the more you let the candle burn
Clock's been ticking, what's been licking soon's been licked
No wick is going to outlive its turn upon the wheel of life

Since I flipped out, life’s a lot easier
Any gal I like, I hug and squeeze her
Seems that they like it
The punch, I spike it
I may be crazy, but I sure please her

There are times
when life is unfair
some bumpy moments
words unkind
feelings hurt
promise broken
a misplaced joke
feeling wronged
situation unjust.
So easy to blow your top
raise your hands loudly shout
scream and stomp your foot
let off steam
make a list
slap a counter
throw a chair.
But to what avail
will it solve a thing
make you look guilty
and somewhat the fool
or do you just
play it cool
agree to disagree
and go on with life
sometimes you gotta
bite your tongue
better to be nice
you just won.
As i saw the world fall apart
I saw the flowers lose their
Spark i saw the water take
Over the flowers fall i saw
The world fall apart the
World lost it Spark
Some days are good for doing chores
But also nice to be outdoors
So I’ve combined some stops in stores
With soaking up some sun.
For days like this, I can’t abide
Too many hours stuck inside.
Instead, with instinct as my guide,
I’m getting so much done.
I bought some flowers in a pot
And posted letters in their slot,
Plus bought a shirt I like a lot,
All on my chore-type run.
And now, with laundry washed and dried
And Swiffered floors, I’m back outside,
For sunny afternoons provide
The chance, which I’ve begun
To watch the river as I write,
The water such a calming sight,
The city bringing me delight,
Like magic it has spun.
You said something nice to me
and it stuck.
Not in a deep way,
just enough to make me smile
for no reason later.
I don’t even really know you,
and you probably didn’t think twice about it,
but I did.
It caught me off guard.
the way it was said,
like it was easy,
like you meant it.
And I love that it made me blush,
like that never happens to me.
Now you just pop into my head
at random times,
and I don’t even try to stop it.
It’s not anything serious.
I just…
I like it.

With dawn engulfing the morning, bringing light
When the birds wake the day with sounds of greetings.
When the sparkle of the stars disappear from the early sky's.
So is my love for you lighting, inviting always there and never fading

Knowing that I am not alone in my journey of life and love.
With the gifts of life given freely to us
Just as the ocean cooles me from the burning sun.
So to is your embrace wrapped around me when life burns with confusion.
Not just When your are around, even when being separated.

With the beauty of the majestic mountainside
And the aromas of the Lilly's, covering the plains
So to is our love engulfed with sweet smelling, beautiful memories of our encounter's throughout our journeys of life

Delicious and yummy with nothing on par.
pedalling my bike,
my legs became language
because as i rode
i could suddenly manage
all the words i wanted to say
released in a package
well, my bike is a pen
driving smoothly on pavement
its lines helped me when
i wanted to escape
so i rode my bike again,
pedalling for ages

harming, demeaning, demoralizing
fraud, theft, honor, innocence
helping, uplifting, encouraging
helpful, unsoiled
