A courteous curtain
Looked thready with fine silk
Scenting of my core
Which led linger rose in my mind
And with no fleeing ticks
But almost ding-dong devotes
Potent day and night
Shrouds,when I come in
Shields,when I come out
Dripping that cotton every moment
For not to streets cowslips
To steal me from her role
Let I vocal vomits vociferously
"Am I boastful beaming as her turban?
Oh,I love you courteous curtain
For vile of my days"

As I was driving along the Garden State Parkway
Radio on, thinking kind thoughts
I came upon a toll booth
A long line of vehicles was ahead of me
An old man tried to merge in
Drivers refused him
I waved him ahead of me
I acknowledged his peace sign
And paid him back with a thumbs up
He paid his dollar fifty toll and moved on
My turn to pay
The collector waved me through
The old man paid my toll

I sing my dormant swoosh,
As I lie in wait for my moon.
With my breeze I give shore lovers a push
As the star follower is lost too soon, as clouds swoon
The naive navigator fears his maroon
My heart melts at the price of your energy at night.
I have heard soul's scream for their soul
I am your creator.... never defeated...showing powerful might
As I swayed while they swam for pearls, oils and lost gold
I detest fuming coal, my rough, ice skin swallowed Titans whole
Loose is the harpoon as is the value put on my life
Secrets of the beginning beat within my chest
I am moved by my mistress moon and the wind, my wife
I am pirated but i am but one, beautifully old... the best!
The day will come, some should expect... for me to be the only thing left

Short-term hell
Long-term heaven
I cannot get even
With change ringing bells
I can live
With senses perked
Poised for change and its work
What's there to forgive?
We excel
We stay trying
Let humor seep on in
Good efforts will compel
Short-term hell
Long-term heaven
What's there to believe in?
Good change means us well
All life age
Time is kinder
We move from harsh to fair
Change is kin to stage.

I watched the sun settle in behind the orchard
The same way an old man
Would settle into his favorite armchair
At the end of the day.
Slowly, almost reluctantly,
The sun slipped below the horizon.
Darkness came upon the land
As the eyelid of the sky
Closed over the earth.
The sun was now resting
In some hidden place.
Always a courteous guest
His departure was also the same –
He put the light out when he left.
