Premium MemberAre you a bad guy ?

Fourty six years since our lives collided,
on sand swept paths, mostly sunny, some blighted.
I was taking a hiatus from men.
You came to rent a room in my heart.
It wasn't open back then.
A struggling, single mom with a young son.
There wasn't much space for any other one.
I worked evenings and some times slept in.
You showed up unexpectedly, a stranger, not kin.
He was in his pj's with Tenie's unlaced,
opened our front door to your unknown face.

My son, my protector, all of three feet high,
inquisitively asked, "are you a bad guy?"
Fourty six years later, this still brings a smile.
He opened our door to so much more which
made this life worth while.

Bilocation

Lapses in mindscape lane don't
denote being fantastical,
subconscious realm portrayed
by vivid thoughts as Déjà vu.
The body lingers and ages but
the Psyche, new as dew.

Countless times,
a reminder of certainty
that I was seen somewhere
when in reality,
staring inquisitively
into my TV.
Then I pondered, did
I unknowingly fall into a trance,
Or did time travel come knocking
unexpectedly?
and even if it did, again,
the lapses don't come to light.

Dreams are pathways to
meditation, that birth
happenings unknown
to this world. But the body
is a shield to absolute
exploration of cognisance.
My imaginary circus yawns
for transportation and
these scenarios distinctively
and simultaneously
visualize without limitations.

Not a pause for impossibility,
we see levitation happen as a tornado,
I can only imagine a gust of parading
doppelganger, I'm just not the witch elevating.
But my illusioned awareness puts me in diverse places through manifestation and imagery conception.

Premium MemberStepin' In Now Abducted

Stepin' in I look around...
   inquisitively I'm coached,
all eyes piercing yet no sound...
it is all-new then I am approached

not sure how long I've been detained
only now I'm no-longer a stranger,
I maintained, abstained, retained,

was ordained restrained, constrained,
 obtained, sustained, untrained,
      attained, not explained

        thinking I'd so complain,
         back through that lore...
oh! that lore from wince I came,
   only to enter another door,

                 So it was once said,
                  One door closes
                    One door opens
                      On on on till
will they let me go before I'm dead.

Premium MemberNature's Harmony

The tall pines waved at me, as I sat outside
My hand spread into the air with some bird seed
I was hoping to feed some birds by hand
I’ve seen this done, but have never tried it
The air was cold, cracked acorns beneath my feet
I was near a patch of grass, bordering frozen snow
One bird sat on a branch looking at me inquisitively
Others visited the bird feeder hanging above me
It would take trust for any bird to come to me
In time, patience would lead me to keep trying
The snow fell lightly around me from scattered clouds
There was silence, I was still, all I could hear is birds talking
While the wind chime rang da ding-ding, da ding…pause ding
All in a slow pattern of a song, with nature’s harmony

A Carrot Cake Tributary Visit

the fence is now made of rust
the patio now has a see through floor
the grass is now a mirror for the aging sun
the trees are now all skeletons in the unfortunate name of abandonment

the clothesline is still surprisingly intact
the clothespins are now weather worn and practically useless
the swing set is now a long lost distant cousin of the aforementioned fence
the doghouse where slacker used to chill is now a bathroom source for many a bird

a rabbit hops in here where life once was
she stares at me inquisitively
i wonder if miss bunny has a poem in her head or a quiet opinion
well, i share with her the anecdote that i intentionally elongate

Love You Best

I said that I was a believer of love;
That I believed in you and I.
You said that worried you.
I asked, "why?"
You asked, "what if someone comes along who loves you better than I?"
"Does such a thing exist?" I asked you; with my head squared inquisitively with a small smile on my face;
You looked at me and I continued, " because if it does I want to love you best. You love me just right, I don't need better love; all I need is you "

Mesmerized

"Mesmerized"

I am
all of the
colours

in your mind

we dance our
fresh canvas
flirtatiously

brushstrokes
caressing
inquisitively

flowing
we blend together
effortlessly

Mesmerized

You are
all of the
colours

reflecting
in my eyes

Double Jeopardy
a cool seduction
hypnotized

You Left Me Long Ago

I miss you often and much,
And you left my life long ago.
I study the world around me inquisitively,
I still dream of starting a family.

Only photos help me
Go back in your dreams a little bit.
I realize I'm stuck in silence,
Let me show you a new one.

I see signs of your approach,
And I feel the closeness of your soul,
There was a burning sensation around the heart,
We've always been good to you.

I'm sure I don't think so,
I feel a special surge of energy,
I know that our destinies will be linked again,
Because you've never taken revenge on anyone.

Just recently, I suddenly realized that
I wither without you like a flower without light.
When you left, I was shackled by an evil haze,
And I, forgetting, no longer waited for the dawn.

I thought I wouldn't believe you anymore,
But you knew I was lying.
I don't want to die in this fight,
So I'll open both wings for you.

One Grain Unseen

I stand as if one grain of sand among billions unseen
as the force of life's storms wash over me
with the same tantamount as this ocean
lashing out against the shore
battered, bloodied, ever changing
yet breathing with the same rhythm
as these waves coming in and out

I watch the horizon bleed
at nighttide as it swallows the sun whole
watching inquisitively at the beauty
with the same curiosity as a child's eyes
peering out for the first time
never questioning the grandeur
as the moon emerges
from the same depths
as the sinking sun

i wish upon a shooting star
clasp my hands on bended knee
then pray as this salty spray reaches my lips
yet i cavil his existence in sorrow
as i kiss the lips of death

She Didn'T Mean It

like flowers
in a zephyr of spring
she danced
in love's blossoms

she loved him
as much as any
inexperienced lover could
with all of her heart

she'd even die for him

oh how she giggled
...teasing about a text
from an ex lover
in a cute little way
inquisitively waiting
for his response

hoping his love was true
as any young lover would
...she knew how she felt

she would die for him

she watched
as his eyes grew
not amorously
as she expected
but anomalously
to the point of rage

she feared his touch
his hands seemed less tender
less loving than before

his eyes
more piercing
than she recalled

she watched
as he became enraged
someone she hated

she said she'd die for him
she didn't mean it
literally

...she died by him instead

In Streams

this stream
across the street
runs deep
like my passion
towards you

i watch
as it flows
downstream
brushing
the edges
of banks
tenderly
like hands
exploring
the unknown

i get lost
in the current
the same way
i'd get lost
in your eyes
as you gazed
into mine
inquisitively

this stream
from my eyes
runs deep
perhaps
with the same depth
as the creek
across the street

Premium MemberThe Wary Cat and the Hungry Dog

The cat eyed the dog, warily
The dog licked his lips, hungrily
The cat backed away, tremulously
   The dog edged forward, intimidatingly

The cat retreated faster, alarmedly
The dog zeroed in on her, aggressively
The cat let out a screech, panic-strickenly
The dog leaped for her throat, murderously

Let's pause this video clip, momentarily
And ask a couple questions, inquisitively
Why did the dog want to kill the cat, instinctively
And why didn't the cat beat a hastier retreat, curiously...

(Please click to restart the clip)

The dog paused in mid-air, hesitatingly
The cat sighed a little sigh, relievedly
The dog smiled a faint smile, sheepishly
   The cat me-owed once, tentatively

The dog's smiled widened, perceptibly
The cat shed a tear, joyously
The dog hugged the cat, lovingly
The cat basked in his embrace, snuggly

                     Finis

The Paranoid Sunshine

I didn't notice when sunshine had come and started talking
In loud amber tongue with the pink rhododendron flowers
And the grey shadow of tall oak inquisitively stalking
As the mauve ivy cloud kept looking from its white tower

In your kiss lies the well-being of my colors my dear
Say rhododendrons to the sunlight in whispering voice
But still I find you making shadowy love with moisture
No, dear, said the pink petals, to you let me make it clear

No need I know the cloud and moisture along with the dew
In my absence they all are passionately after you

Apples and Cloud's

A young boy inquisitively asks his father 1 day
Daddy, Daddy
What is an Apple Store
Dad
Well Son
His Father answer's
An Apple Store
Is either a simple fruit and veg shop
Or a shop that sells 1 of the most sophisticated,
stealthy tracking and information gathering devices
ever marketed.
And the cloud is the manner in which all this information is
correlated into algorithms and then passed on to Intelligence
and Marketing Agency's willing to pay for this information .
The amazing thing about this is that you are actually consenting
to spying on yourself so there is no come back if anything goes wrong

When Eyes Refuse To Close

Where power rests
on a bed of roses,
citizens inquisitively lie
on hot beds of ashes
But when citizens
are scotched,
when the hot ashes
are no longer tolerable,
they put on sack- clothes.
They chant war-songs
of sorrow and agony,
as they wave spears.
Bushes around
where the animal is hiding,
are tortured with sticks
that carry big heads
in search of the animal
that snatched the father.
That is the time
the nation’s dogs
bark without biting
the eyes refuse to close
knowing that the time
for reckoning
has struck.
