Nature's Harmony
The tall pines waved at me, as I sat outside
My hand spread into the air with some bird seed
I was hoping to feed some birds by hand
I’ve seen this done, but have never tried it
The air was cold, cracked acorns beneath my feet
I was near a patch of grass, bordering frozen snow
One bird sat on a branch looking at me inquisitively
Others visited the bird feeder hanging above me
It would take trust for any bird to come to me
In time, patience would lead me to keep trying
The snow fell lightly around me from scattered clouds
There was silence, I was still, all I could hear is birds talking
While the wind chime rang da ding-ding, da ding…pause ding
All in a slow pattern of a song, with nature’s harmony
