Hurtfulness Poems | Examples

There are people with whom
One might disagree at certain levels.
The dividing levels might even be ones
Of insensitivity, discouragement,
And even hurtfulness.

Notwithstanding such disagreements,
One might yet endorse and support
Such a one on other, more vital levels.

In so doing, one should see it, not as
a conflict of interest, but rather as
a higher view of the big picture.

Your Freezing Cold Attitude

Do not be despicable
It is really terrible
How your attitude is being
Your humanity is fleeting
More and more each time I see
Your mannerism, its clearly
Out of control, so out of whack
All you ever do is attack
With words of fury and disgust
That break down and badly bust
Anyone that comes your way
Thinking it is fun to play
With the fragile emotions
Clueless about any notion
How much pain you are inflicting
Or the way it is affecting
The lives you are tearing apart
Where is the love in your heart
Your ice cold and do not know
How this freezing leaves a glow
Of hurtfulness or does it matter
Your about to really shatter
Into a million broken pieces
Everyone who ever reaches
All the iciness inside
The dark pit you always hide
Only coming out when you
Want someone to feel blue
Does it make you happy when
A day is ruined once again
By your insensitivity
Can't you realize and see
There is another way to live
If you'd try to care and give
Less of your ignorance
In return you'd know kindness
Thawing that icy cold heart
You can make a better start

Friendship of Loving Evil

I don't have too many friends
But I'll protect them till the end
I'm not strong violent or tough
But when I have seen enough
Bullying hatred violence
All of my good common sense
Is pulled away by the evil
Force inside me that I feel
Everything my friends are shaken
By the hurtfulness your makin'
In their lives I won't stand by
You better run away and hide
I will be there to protect
Those I love. I won't forget.

Trauma After Trauma

Shall not speak for others hearts
For I don’t know those
Though I have been all fulfilled
To glee then anguished lows

Perhaps I should had dealt with this
Better from the start
For hurtfulness and loneliness
Burrowed in my heart

Through trauma after trauma
Misery and grief
Some observed by others
Though most I hid beneath

This deep seeded sadness
Where I fell apart
I do feel will never heal
In my broken heart

How to overcome my woes
I am yet to learn`
Sleepless nights reunites
Tortures of concern

Whilst heartache penetrates my soul
from sorrow and sheer strife
I just accept all that’s kept
And pain, a part of life.

How could I have missed facts in my awareness?
And how much I overlooked a word of hurtfulness.
How often do I come across someone featureless?
I am sure, and I do not critique my carelessness.
How far did you go to justify neither fear nor sadness?
It's the strength of my character and my faithfulness.
I was gracious to all who battled and found success.
Surely my Lord will bestow me for my kindness.

Forget

I can’t forget that fateful night
Filled with torture and pain,
When my world was slowly shattered
When my soul was bruised and slain.

I can’t forget the loneliness
I felt when I got home,
To find the crushing darkness there
To be left on my own.

I can’t forget the shocking looks
When pregnancy came around,
How I was deemed a ****,
A whore, a floozie about town.

I can’t forget the hurtfulness
While hiding the truth inside,
Trying to keep my family’s hate
From trampling on my pride.

If only I could keep the past
From crowding in on me,
The I could learn to love my life
And make HIM history.

Premium MemberThe Gift of Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a cleansing of the soul
when hurtfulness by others causes pain.
With grudges held, the spirit is not whole;
they stab the heart and overload the brain.

A letting go of bad things that have passed
done unto us by family or friends,
releases them from wrongs they have amassed-
so from their side- feel free to make amends.

A two-way street- forgiveness is the balm:
forgiver gifts the chance to wipe the slate;
offender accepts kindly with aplomb-
and mending can begin for future fate.

Forgiveness is the gift of give-and-take;
heals the forgiver and offender's ache.

World Change-- Teach Change

There are moments that we find
In our life than can define
Who we are and want to be
Keeping our faith as we see
Others doing harm and wrong
As we try to stay so strong
Through the hurtfulness and crime
Being done time after time
By children, teen and adults
Not knowing that life's about
Love, care, harmony and peace
Allowing our hearts to release
A light to take the dark away
People live with everyday
When parents don't teach from day one
It's not a game or even fun
To make this world worse more and more
On the land and on the shore
Learning there can always be
A chance and possibility
There's a safer kinder planet
Waiting for us if we plan it

Just One Poem

Not many people realize that words - have awesome power.
They can bring strength, hope, and happiness - in your darkest hour!
Just one poem can bring someone - back from the brink of suicide!
Can help someone - a better future for to decide.

Just the right words - meticulously put in place.
Can bring a smile to someone's - anxiously awaiting face!
Just one poem can truly turn - someone's day around.
Showing that peace and tranquility - really can be found!

When you take time to think - before you speak or write.
Can to someone's life bring - that shining beacon of light!
Just one poem is rushing - out to save the day.
Keeping negativity and hurtfulness - extremely far away!

The words you use - as you travel through life.
May even help other's - through their struggle's and strife!
Just one poem can - help you put on the brakes.
Avoiding misfortune - and ghastly mistakes!

Choosing words carefully - is more important than you know!
Spreading love and wisdom to others - as through this life we go!
Remember no matter how far - across this Earth you may roam.
Whatever you may be looking for - might be found in Just One Poem!!!

Fake Friendship

Why is there so much disgrace
 Written all across your face
Sorry eyes and a cracked voice
All because a stupid choice
Left you without a best friend
From a lie that would not end
Starting with I will be there
When you need someone to care
Night or day--- Early or late
You will never have to wait
For my friendship to arrive
It will never take a dive
Leaving you stranded and afraid
It is too solid to sway
Words of hurtfulness and lies
Years of friendship you let die
When the truth started to surface
I wondered what was the purpose
Of giving you my care and soul
Now you left me with a hole
Inside a heart once pure and true
Until it was broken in two
By a stranger I don't know
Who's true colors didn't show
From the first day that we met
To this last day of regret
My emotions get stepped on
By a liar and a con

School Torture-- Adult Image

Bookworm, loser, geek and nerd
Words that I have always heard
Young years turning into old
Hurtfulness that leaves me cold
Getting picked on-- always beaten
My happiness was lost and fleeting
Kicked and laughed at
Pushed and shoved
No one cared or showed me love
Never being picked on teams
Crushing all my precious dreams
I heard daily teachers pet
Never letting me forget
I was an outcast from day one
Since my school days have begun
Harassed in every single way
Tears of pain fell every day
Nobody would let me be
They thought this kind of cruelty
Wasn't rude or ignorant
But it was significant
Making me believe this image
Was something that I had to live with
Years have gone and now I'm grown
And I see adults have shown
Traits I thought I would not see
By people who should never be
Just as cruel and mean to me
All because I do not think
Doing drugs and having drinks
Is a way of having fun
So again I'm being shunned
Hoping I could look and find
Someone with morals like me
Who knows what I'm going through
Cause they were living that life too

When Did Loving Us Stop

When did we grow a part
Surely there can be no date assignment
Nor can a time of the hour or minute placed
When did we become selfishly alone
Preferring the singular to the plural in tone
When did loving each other take the preverbal back seat
With vain wisdom filling our hearts
When did touching excite no more
The sensations callused by prideful numbness
When did thoughtfulness tenderness and kind words
Thus exchanged for screaming hurtfulness and distraught
When did trust slip away as sand in an hour glass
Spying each other- knowing it could not last
When did honor turn into threats
Threats of self-preservation by disarmament
When did our breath die to seek servitude as one
As passion was placed into a closet – we entered the ring
When did love stop- we now needing new air
When did we die and we simply did not care

Sweet Sara Jean

Mother offers help and nurturing
Through life's hardships
Gain is mother's love
Comfort bestows my sweet mother
Hide my displeasures
Forgive my hurtfulness
Nurture and uplift my spirit, dear heart
Till death separates our hearts

Equality

The one thing in life we all strive to be is equal in every degree,
And I think everyone should have the same rights, don’t you agree?

We can all be equal but we cannot all be the same,
There is a difference and you can’t hold other people responsible are try to point the blame.

Certain things that have happened should be buried and forgot,
Otherwise it is like a cancer that will eat at you till you rot.

We all need forgiveness in our lives and truly that is the key,
Without forgiveness none of us are free!

The next step is compassion and kindness,
Show love instead of hate, helpfulness instead of hurtfulness might be a way out of this mess!

Teach respect and honor, not bigotry and greed,
Then maybe God will water and nurture that seed.

God made each and every one of us and I don’t think this squabbling He had in mind,
So we should all bury the hatchet and live for tomorrow, for yesterday is already one day behind.
