The Gift of Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a cleansing of the soul when hurtfulness by others causes pain. With grudges held, the spirit is not whole; they stab the heart and overload the brain. A letting go of bad things that have passed done unto us by family or friends, releases them from wrongs they have amassed- so from their side- feel free to make amends. A two-way street- forgiveness is the balm: forgiver gifts the chance to wipe the slate; offender accepts kindly with aplomb- and mending can begin for future fate. Forgiveness is the gift of give-and-take; heals the forgiver and offender's ache.
