Purple luxury

The true dawn of dreams
that lingers like twilight’s kiss.
Luxury’s revels
draped in a regal cloak’s hush.

Crowned with velvet robes
of night’s elegant embrace,
with a mind and soul
brushed in amethyst’s true grace.

A whispered silence
that softens nature’s mystique—
the sweet wine of life
savored at twilight’s last glow.

A solitude hymn
composed for an empress’s smile,
like a meadow’s grin
filling an ocean’s wide sigh.

I must allow..I am deeply impacted by the demenour, the
Character" of Ink Empress." my expression i feel must be
Expressed.' Or I would view myself.' As a most uncouth
Inversion..' Of appreciation.? And of magnanimity..I would be without redress.'
The most un-sufferable of fools' should I not make note of her calm
And balance.' With great empathy.' Even much sincerity; she is
An epitome of the ' oft overused term' in how to be cool.'

The Dark Empress

She was born with a purpose to create,
But the stars spoke of a prophecy;
That she would leave destruction in her wake.

Born under the moonlight,
Her eyes as dark as the night,
Her innocence went alight,
Led astray from her painless life.

Tortured, hunted and betrayed she was,
Couldn’t find a soul who would see who she really was;
Depressed she ran away,
Found the dark to understand her dismay.
Comforted by it subtle warmth,
It led her to her kingdom’s silver porth.

She grew more knowledgeable by the day,
Till she was able;
To rule the land where the dead stay.

Many came to try and conquer her land,
But when they came,
They met their end, with no accolade;
By a touch of her hand,
Their bodies turned to little more than grains of sand.

She wasn’t evil, just deeply misunderstood,
Only the dark knew she was still good;
None knew the pain she endured,
Abandoned at birth,
Barely found anything to fill the dearth.

She found solace nevertheless,
The dark with her,
Made her The Dark Empress.

Premium MemberLet Me Hear You Roar Dedicated to Empress Ink

Still breathing lilacs in a lustrous trance. (Ink Empress)

Solitary flower loosely clustered kissed by the morning sun
you are the flower of the hour comparable next to none

Dreamtime beauty with a hint of lavender and subtle pink
you stand out among the others like an Empress made of Ink

Your mystic whisper is a murmur to my ear that says I'm here
you are a revelation, God's special jewel, a bright lit chandelier

Still breathing lilacs in a lustrous trance you give yourself away
as you wave your beauty around I can only whisper, " Stay"

To the lilac bush that thrives on the Holy Land that I adore,
I say "live and breathe for me" and let me hear you roar !

Premium MemberA Sonnet for the Empress

In shadows draped, my night empress does glide,
Amidst the moonlit meadow’s misty sigh,
Her raven locks, a midnight river’s tide,
Flow ‘neath the moonbeam’s haunting silver sky.

Her eyes, orbs of obsidian’s deep spell,
Entrap all who meet her amorous gaze,
No roses match her cheeks’ alluring swell,
In twilight’s grasp, a gothic love ablaze.

Her lips, a sinful shade of deepest night,
To taste the poison from her tempting kiss,
A venomous allure, a dark delight,
Her pale milky skin, passion’s subtle bliss.

In corset tight, she holds her lustful spell,
To love her is to court the fire of hell.

Premium MemberA Dedication To Ink Empress

She's like the night, a lampshade lit across the room
also a rose in a summer garden always ready to bloom
She's like a thousand stars surrounding the moon
a celestial scene of beauty here then gone too soon

Ink Empress of the site she comments like an Angel
always kind and always perceptive she enables
Ink Empress of my heart, you make me grateful
for you read my poetry but, you never label...

You are a cyber friend from afar a leading star
a Paridot of the sky with a hue one cannot mar
Without soul blemish you always win by far
for your kindness and gentleness, is on par

Ink Empress of the night you contain so my sight,
that even the quill of a bird, can see your light.

Premium MemberVibrations of heart - Blitz with Ink Empress

Can't stop flashbacks
Can't stop vibrations
Vibrations like echoes
Vibrations irritating wounds
Wounds that bleed
Wounds that torment
Torment the mind
Torment emotions
Emotions of guilt
Emotions full of anger
Anger from the past
Anger from shame
Shame that's distressing
Shame that's intrusive
Intrusive images haunt
Intrusive like storms
Storms striking like lightning
Storms louder than thunder
Thunder that's frightening
Thunder causing self-destruction
Self-destruction of the heart
Self-destruction of the mind
Mind acts recklessly
Mind reacts resentful
Resentful with regret
Resentful outbursts
Outbursts misunderstood
Outbursts they generalised
Generalised anxiety
Generalised questions
Questions of sanity
Questions of ability
Ability to stand
Ability to walk
Walk in fear
Walk through a hellish reality
Reality discarded
Reality unseen
Unseen persecution
Unseen war
War with life
War with time
Time is too intense
Time to surrender
Surrender to uncontrollable stuttering
Surrender to my misleading heart
Heart palpitations
Heart is numb flatline
Flatline
Palpitations...

Untamable Clemency, Collaboration With Ink Empress

A collaboration with Ink Empress, a piece we wrote for “Woman’s Day” for all the strong women warriors out there. Your strength is felt.

“Untamable Clemency”

Her heart is a
chained haven,
for zestless intruders
and fiendish foes,
so tread delicately,
she is not a
mindless marionette
in your glistening
gallery of greed—
glazed in rhinestone
rhapsodies,
she is more
than cold-boned ideologies,
placed by timeless seasons,
she soars above
restrained reveries,
as an untamable heat
of clemency.

Premium MemberThank You Too

I am in college at this time
Learning from Soto’s Socrates mind
Bet as a babe he was divine
Babbling away peach poetic line

Many poetry soupers on a loop teach
Who is cooler than Empress of Ink?
It’s not a competition it’s a dream team
Winged word like bird that fly me eternally

There is soup mail from Mystic Rose Rose
Sharing her peace and heart of gold
Her lines are deepest kind of prose
Find a lime vine she will help you grow

Green vine of kindness sent to me
Lin Lane poet who is unique discreet
Gifting orange critique a line or two
Fine tuning my yellow maroon haiku

So many professors can’t name you all
Like Silent One who heeds the call
To be hazel humble while his verses are tall
And echo in time so deep and all

Bill Baker who reads so much with love
Sara Baker Haiku Queen to whom I look up
Eve with images of blue so cool
But my favorite purple poet is not me but YOU.

Premium MemberFarewell To Summer - 2023

Fading blossoms drooping low in abeyance
Arouse Summer’s suspicions that now Autumn
Races forward, seeking Summer’s abdication.
Even as the birds plan their migration south,
Willful Summer scoffs as she stifles the wind,
Eventually losing to the tug of chill air.
Looking at scorched ground, Summer abandons
Last requests to the barren clouds for quenching rains.

Trudging toward tomorrow, Summer remembers she was
Once a grand empress, and vows she shall be again!

She sheds her ragged regal robes and crown;
Uneasy in weight of peasant’s coarse tunic.
Maybe next year when the Sun again comes ‘round,
Maybe next year when Summer defends, just then,
Essence of life will calm and steady her realm.
Restoring hope for her next auspicious reign.

Premium MemberRoyal Queen

Though she isn’t just a butterfly
She’s been a monarch of the sky
Wings, so gentle, often impress
Like love from above, she does bless

Like the ruler she’s always stood
Lovely and kind, reigning with good
She knows affection won’t repress
Like love from above, she does bless

Matriarch of hope, joy and peace
Just like the queen of scenic Greece
Her duties, much, I must confess
Like love from above, she does bless

Sovereign and sure, she is a light
Shining like the sun, kind and bright
Friendship is found in her caress
Like love from above, she does bless

Empress of her time, filled with grace
Sincere, her promise an embrace
She is known for her faithfulness
Like love from above, she does bless

Premium MemberEmpress of the Waves Rimas Dissolutas

Tumultuous empress of the waves
turning the tide for a resister;
She shares style and possibility
adding a dash of feminine grace;

The message rings onto the airwaves
drawing the ear of a young sister;
Her spirit grabs the serenity
it multiplys beauty to showcase;

There’s no limit to what they can be;
Unity is a powerful place.
