Flirt with my demons
We chase that which destroys us.
We know we shouldn't!

Hold me in your heart
like a dread you cannot shake
unbidden I rear.

Trace me with your sighs
as I rest my rosy cheek
on your bronze shoulder.

Tie me to your tongue
and let me speak truth like you
when you tell my tales.

She's magisterial material
Though she's not on a box of cereal
'Tomorrow' she's sung
Her curly locks stun
Annie Oakley (Cortez) ~ imperial
She's a citrine pearl
empress of patience
sprinkling lilac stars
and rosemary balm
upon silver scars
above moon-kissed seas
Tableau written for picture 3
Beside the window your field
Wide alone the moonlit night

Pardon me, buzzing bee
Do you think that you are free
No siree. Nor have I ever been...
Here comes my empress
~ Long live the Queen!
I cannot rush the moon, although I reckon
That if I could, I would request she hurried.
Though 'miles to go before I sleep' do beckon,
The Empress of the night sky moves unworried.
unwritten absence

only to recall

What We Will Always Miss
There is a person who we will always miss;
Was Jesus who died and had been odorless;
Some men were wise,
Not wearing a disguise;
Met Mother Mary an emissary and an empress.

roquish whims jinxed across kenopsia nights
where onism becomes Elysian cure.

a lady of glamour
gold adornments
fit for a queen
gilded slippers at her feet
exotic as a mystical perfume
parading her culture
with flare and dignity

Sky
shines
golden
to bronze trees
in waves on the hills
across the snow covered carpet
There is a soft, amber, reflection for many miles
Wonder fell from the clouds and froze beneath my feet, I can't help but to think you feel it

“You are the sonnet I weave with soft swirls.” I spill ink, and your butterfly beauty unfurls.
Line 1 Inspired by “Leaves of Love” by Ink Empress, 1/24/2025
Son of a Empress. Should you not stand tall? If I could hold you, make you leave the darkness. Mend your broken crown, restore the fearless shine in your eyes!
If they try to make you small, remember you are born out of Mother Earth. To compare with clouds, roaring rivers, shift of seasons, warming sun.
My I-thiopian Empress
With skin so smooth and fresh
My I-thiopian Empress
You’re divine, my royal tempest.
My I-thiopian Empress
With lips of gentle tenderness
My I-thiopian Empress
Behold the beautiful covenant…I kiss.

Just a few days left
The Snow Empress will awaken
She will walk across the land
Her work cannot be ignored
Shining, glistening water
Frozen in its place in mere seconds
Dunes of the whitest snow
Beckoning children to play
She may be hated by some
But you cannot deny her beauty
