A QUIET EARRING POETIC FLOW

Quite sun
shining,
Quite green leaves
waving;
Quiet ears
ringing:-
In the silent
night,
Ears ring
quietly
 to themselves:
Echoing
to me:-
The ears
continue
To ring
in profound
silence,
Echoing life:
When will
these echoes
reveal
Wisdom
and understanding?
Ringing
silent ears;
Let us give
thanksgiving praise
For echoing life:
Without quiet
ringing,
Would we be
 in this loud world?!
Let us
be happy;
Wisdom and
understanding,
Quietly
ringing out:
God speaking
all languages;
Streaming all
our ringing ears:-
Wow, what
an amazing brain:
Quietly ringing
opened ears:-
Ears not only
hear all music,
They also quietly
play theirs:-

Music to All Our Ears

The Summer Arts Intensive,*
Just in session for a week,
Put on a concert which was both
Amazing and unique.

The students, playing instruments
From brass and winds to strings
Or vocals, had the chance to shine
And test their new-found wings.

My grandson, one of the trombonists
In the group for jazz,
Performed with lots of confidence
And plenty of pizzazz.

Eight various ensembles
Got to show what they could do,
Their joy onstage (and those of the
Instructors) there on view.

To hear the music that they made,
With so much drive and skill,
Was proof such opportunity
Provides the means to thrill.

For, much as we, the audience,
Felt delight we could not hide,
The faces of the ones on stage
Revealed their hard-won pride.

Tunnel Vision

I don't choose the muse
the muse chooses me
and when she appears
between my ears
I adopt the writer's role
and follow her
down the rabbit hole
never knowing
what I may find
is on my mind
but in time if I'm content
when penning punny poetry
with what passes for a poem
then it's good enough for me

With apologies to Lewis Carroll (1832 – 1898)

Premium Member Music to My Ears

In the predawn
Flashes and thunder wake me
And then it comes
A downpour that would make Noah proud
To have had the faith
And quicken the hammering
Of a few last boards
It’s been weeks but feels like months
Since we’ve had even a bit of rain
And this deluge provides the soothing calm
Music to my ears
Within the storm

Moronic Music for those that Cheer their Ears Off

Funky Downtown Vibes

[Verse 1]
In the heart of the city, down by the street,
Cardboard dreams pulse to the rhythm and beat.
With the sun setting low, shadows start to play,
Every step I take, draws me closer to today.
Funk it up, let the bassline roll,
Feel the vibe, it ignites the soul!

[Chorus]
Break down! It’s our time on this stage, Bounty of the night we’re setting the page.
Dancing in the streets, no care for restraint, with every heartbeat, our freedom we paint.

[Verse 2]
Sound hound barking, echoing the sound. Lost in the groove, oh, the magic I’ve found.
Livin’ for the moment, no time to slow down, together we rise, yeah, we own this town.

Break it down, let the music sway, Feel the heat let it take you away.

[Chorus]

[Outro]
So, let’s keep it loud, let the good times flow, In this funky rhythm, we’ll steal the show.

Premium Member Cosmo and the Pig Ears

Roasted pig ear treats
the favorite of Cosmo to eat
He chews and chews diligently
savoring the taste thoroughly
But Sassy hers she ignores
pig ears for her a bore
Cosmo finished and he spies
Sassy pig ear by her side
He nudges closer a slow crawl
his nose sniffs what his eyes saw
Sassy knows what Cosmo up to
so the pig ear she begins to chew
Cosmos dismayed and whines
whimpers loud for pig ear to dine
Sassy growls and grips it tight
teasing Cosmo enjoying his plight
He stares and stares and stares
Sassy chews it as if a dare
Suddenly Sassy lets it go
Cosmo steals it by a nose
Sassy seems to not care
Cosmo chews her pig ear
Cozzymo happy boy
two pig ears tummy joy
He licks his lips and looks at me
begging for pig ear number three.

“Can’t you chew quietly?
I can’t stand when you land on my grass
But your purring keeps my heart align
Lucky, I love you, Binkie.
Why do they put the fence around the good stuff?”

Premium Member Fluff fills up the Ears

Does a man become less hirsute when balding has occurred
and the hair upon the head it disappears?

Perhaps not !! It seems there is thickening of the eyebrows
hair protruding from the nose and much more fluff filling up the ears Pardon??

Their Ears are Alight

Gaza, Iran & Beirut.. nighty night

No respite from the missiles flight

Vexing but still flexing their might

Poor poor me…the Israelite

Don’t confuse this ain’t about Jews

Diaspora poorer cos of this blight

Lots of bots & Zionist zealots plots

Poor poor me….the Israelite

Ignite the fight with clear foresight

Denied aid this trite white knight

Lied about genocide that’s alright

Poor poor me….the Israelite

Mad Mossad glad says it’s our bad

Spite.. despite their neighbours plight

Planned land grab it’s their birthright?

Poor poor me… the Israelite

A tool in the cruel rule of fossil fuel

Not a fool got their American mule

Know they’re best mates so tight

Poor poor me… the Israelite

No slight or insight.. news lite

Spank & shank the West Bank

Carve up then starve a delight

Poor poor me…the Israelite

No stagefright the future’s bright

Rage kill will keep up their pecker

To murder and be a home wrecker

Victims can’t alight from midnight

Narcissist terrorist is high as a kite

Hear old song by Desmond Dekker

Poor poor me…the Israelite

By Poet: "Sometimes there are No words, just feelings that talk very loud."

My eyes only want to see beauty,
a bright sun coming over the meadow.
My ears need to hear a sweet song,
chippering birds with their little hearts.
My taste buds always like to tingle,
to the sweet words from you to me.
My feelings take flight around the world,
upon the wings of loving angels.
My heart will always bubble feelings of love,
love from simple beauty in life.

Premium Member Four Left Ears

I know a man who has four left ears
This guy really has nothing to fear

          If attacked from the right
          He can blame poor eyesight

The nerve! ‘Must have been my trochlear’

A poem flew into my brain
I - distracted - it flew back out

Proving there’s nothing between my ears ~
