Ears
I can extend sideways my
too small ears to
my door, but I can’t
quite reach
the lock. That’s quite
disappointing.
Jiving and jazz, razzmatazz.
Jitterbug then rock and roll.
Smooching while eighty years old.
Both tickety- boo.
Iowa home grown sweet corn
oozing warm butter
freshly picked from the field
so sweet and tasty
darling roast-n-ears
delicious
corn
rap pounding in my ears
not at all sure what it means
~ stilletos whacking at my skull

Velvety fog of night beckons
I hear you calling out my name
Echoes since you’ve been gone

sweetness in your voice
all the lovely words you speak
music to my ears
i feel all my sorrows fade
warm sunlight encompasses
Sweet melodies ring in the ears when think
How beautiful is the life
When the peace reigns in you

I do not feel as I did before,
My body went to war,
Attacking me with a mighty force,
There's more, of course,
But listening can be such a bore.
Thick headed? Who? Me?
Well, maybe, check my ears,
and you will see,
Grade A concrete,
Thick and fast,
Not too sure,
How long my neck will last.
My pumpkin beer bubbles
As the orange streets sit wet.
Gourdes grow out my ears
As small vampires roam the night.
Doorstep nodding, I drink more beer.
Stop the endless crying
Stop the dying of my wounded heart
No more chains on sorrows held
Shoot your arrow, kill me swift
My love lingers, on bloody wounds
He never heard a word she said…
not in all their years
for the moment words escaped her lips
they transformed into notes
and became music to his ears.
inside of ears pierced
song penetrates dark deeply
lighting up canal
enhancement of oars gliding
through calm waters of Venice
They have gray carpet here – blah blah blah
There’s a weird blowing sound in the air
Gentle teensy humming lah lah lah
My dog ears pick up everything I swear
Tree without trunk's wood
long leaves branches bow to earth
elephant's ears dance
Look with non-judgmental eyes.
Listen patiently with ears set to kindness.
Embrace change and welcome diversity.

In women, ears are more important than breasts.
And disputes about this are stupidly airy.
Against small breasts women there is no protest.
But earless, the ladies are scary!
The gentle wind makes the mango leaves sway,
Letting the fruitful tree produce a sound;
Sweet to the ears is this music I’ve found,
Bringing softness to the break of new day.
There once was a horse with long ears
She was better than all of her peers
But treated quite cruel
‘Til they found her quite cool
Cause not really a horse but a mule
A poem flew into my brain
I - distracted - it flew back out
Proving there’s nothing between my ears ~
‘cept a vacuum sealed in self-doubt
haiku
wide-eyes, ears up
wax statues in the brush
danger lumbers past
baby deer
on a gambol in the snow
instinct kicks in
holding its breath
fawn awaits mother's nod
eye contact
There once was a fellow named Todd
Who had a very strange habit, quite odd
When girlies came near
He would flap both his ears
To signal he was ready, yesireebob!
There once was a fellow named Todd
Who had a very strange habit, quite odd
When girlies came near
He would flap both his ears
To signal he was ready, yesireebob!
They say to forgive and forget…
in spite of the damage they’ve done
A blessing sublime, someone better than I,
could do both—I though neither one
