I dreamed a bird-of paradise arose one starry night.
Beautifully plumed, it floated in mystical moon-light.
I drifted along with it, as delicate as fine lace,
extraordinarily content, unconstrained and graceful.
I am on a train above the clouds, a wondrous scene,
No panic stirred, just enchantment filled the air serene.
Faces, familiar yet strange, in clownish attire,
A vintage dream train, stoked with childhood's desire.
A steward with rosy round cheeks, eyes like emerald gleam,
Offers a cotton candy, a sugary dream.
Bigger than Dad's hat, I devour without a delay,
Lost in this surreal, in this dreamy carnival play.
Complacent, I wander, to the train's very rear,
To the balcony's edge, without a hint of fear.
A misstep, a tumble, and I am cast adrift,
The "Choo-Choo" departs, leaving me to drift.
Abruptly, I wake up in a bouncy castle, vast and grand,
With friends from the clown shop, hand in hand.
Giggles and laughter, like music in the air,
Every step, a bounce of joy, beyond compare.
But then I stumble, a fall, and I am abruptly stirred,
In the quiet of dawn, my dream deferred.
Was it real? Was it true? In the pre-dawn's gleam,
I had dreamed a dream, more ludicrous than it seems.
In America we have all we need
if we can find or take it.
Our work ethic is strong
yet weakening at every knee.
Oppose the status quo
break a window
no one is going to arrest
we know what's best
to keep the dream going.
Last night
I really did dream of our future...
Imagine a bowl of cherries
bleeding dark red blood
all over your Lexus or your wheelchair.
Imagine if there was no hell
just another replay of social decay
everyday
and you are the one
pushing bodies into darkness,
it is you smashing a brick over
all those hurrying heads.
Last night’s slumber found me in an evening, cloud forest;
a plethora of mosses covered the ground and I found myself walking on a palette of green hues as night’s curtain fell. Humidity clammed my skin with its touch; free body lotion. It feels like I’ve just stepped out of the shower, refreshed. In a water forest you cannot always hear what is behind you; I felt that familiar piercing of eyes when, someone or something is watching and turned to see an Olingo on a tree branch. He was beautiful and as our eyes locked, he stood frozen. I called him friend then thought about it again. I then told him not to befriend others of my kind; they would want to harm him. Strange, his high-pitched, voice in my head; “Thank you, you will be my one human friend; you are welcome here”. He turned, ran into the cloudy haze. My heart levitated from my chest with elation; I may have saved him and his friends from poachers.
In a cloud forest
varied species living life
majesty surrounds all.
Olingo, A small nocturnal mammal found in Central and South American areas. They resemble a Kinkajou only with a banded and non-prehensile tail.
I dreamed a dream,
gossamer-winged butterflies fluttered of excitement near,
whilst Gabriel whispered in her ear.
North Star melodious echoes, amid darken twilight sky;
strangers gathered with undisguised admiration,
whilst the infant lie in tranquil sleep.
I dreamed a dream,
His outpouring of effortless words reverberated deep.

I Dreamed a Dream a Dream of Sacrifice
I dreamed a dream, of Him,
kneeling in a verdant garden,
only he could nurture.
A place of peace and pardon.
He gazes, locked favoring heaven,
sorrow steals his sight and soul,
whilst darkness hardens.
I witness in fear, whilst he bled
from severe innumerable laceration on his flesh.
A scarlet robe and woven crown,
a difficult heavy cross for him to bear.
Through shameful tears, to gather near and meet,
walked close, knelt at his feet.

I dreamed a dream
Of a flowing stream,
Where things got wet
In a pristine jet,
Near to that stream
The flowers did gleam,
They stole the show
With their coloured glow,
Came there the birds
Chirruping sweet words,
Then flew across
The carpeted moss,
I sat down there
To enjoy and stare,
Then screamed a scream
For 'twas just a dream.

DREAMED A DREAM
I dreamed an aspiring dream to glow in gorgeous gleam,
wishing to be very special, highly intellectual.
Had full confidence on myself.
Goal was ahead to access, no deficiency on dedication or devotion.
My effort whirled to spin on pivot of talent.
Could not overcome hostile circumstances
Failure more, success less, not to repent but to accept.
Started as child prodigy, but devoid of proper love and care.
Lacking in companion to share
Being a lone fighter to steer ensuing an Elegy.
Prayed to be extra ordinary as my competence could deserve.
Ultimately destined to turn just ordinary.
Dream diffused, drowned in deep dreary despondence.

A chase thru the jungle ~ frightening calls
Black Panther takes down~ sturdy wild boar
Silence of forest~ a vicious death by jaws
Warm scent of fresh blood~ a savory lick of the claws
Hairs at attention ~ as I slipped passed and crawled
Must get away~ gotta get away ~ shadowy Angels looked on
Heart's racing faster ~ a dart in the dark
Tumbling over precipice~ my whole life's back to start
When a baby ~ hugged a lady
Mama was everything
Saw how I hurt Gina~ in a terrible way
And from there went falling again
Dirt walls of tunnel~ swirled~ down as I went
Into Hell fire ~ reeking of sulfur incense
Egos melt quickly ~ flashing regrets
When suddenly was flying~ through the World Wide Internet
Busy minds crashed ~ overload trash ~ virus infected files
Press enter to clean~ for whatever that means~ I'm deleted on screen
I dreamed a Dream
I dreamed a dream
My home's closing door slammed
To sound of silent regrets
And slowly you slipped to oblivion
My hope is the deserted room
With crumbled petals from broken vase strewn
Dust accumulated
Has enveloped my once
Glowing face
Sobbing tears of unsaid words
Are hanging in sorrows' frame
Silhouettes of yesterdays
Breathing last on torn plasters of wall
Dark has unpacked bags in my room
And raindrops have forever forgotten my doorsill
For they fail to recall
Our duets that we sung
Holding them plentiful in our palms
My bottom has fallen further to immeasurable distance
And my roofs have curled their arms
I tried and tried
But without shackles my chained limbs
Failed to hold on
My beams have met their destiny
They are part of archaic stories
My dream is somewhere stuck in wooden clock
It's hours hand
Easy prey of termites
Lost existence

I dreamt a dream...with eyes awake
As I walked alone...round dreamer's lake
I dreamt that I...was in the crowds
Of white winged angels...above the clouds
Watching someone...whose near their death
Gasping, panting...for his last breath
Watching, waiting...for his eyes to close
To give him wings...when his heart slows
Above the clouds...he'll soon fly free
I dreamt I died...that soul was me

You wrote the song that enchanted lyrics
Composing avid tone to melody of music
Attuning cleverly to tenor of fantasies
Sending sensual hints to passionate wishes,
As vibrant stars ceded to darker motifs.
Infantile was my dream in night's reverie
Cuddling arms of love, hugging intently
Delighting in whispers of zealous winds
Wooed by romance of affectionate feelings,
Just before the misty sky began drizzling.
It was really you, who trampled my sleep
Just when I approached beholding your kiss.
Dismantling motives of amorous destiny
You disavowed with vigor allures of affinity,
Flashing a warning, a storm was brewing.
Rejecting my overture, you left the scene.
Your seduction was real, so was your love--
Indelible prologue to tomorrow's memory,
Yet truly ephemeral, as dreams tend to be.
The dream I dreamed never belonged to me.

I Dreamed a Dream?
I had a dog – a tiny Eskimo
who loved me very much. Nevertheless,
I had to let my cherished doggie go.
This situation caused me such distress.
He was adopted, or so I’d been told.
And there was nothing I could do but grieve.
Was he ok? He had been getting old.
What happened later some may not believe!
One night a few years later, from my sleep,
I woke! My dog before me I could see!
I held my arms out and he took a leap
into them. I then hugged him close to me.
I dreamed a dream? Perhaps. . . but what if my
dear doggie’s soul had come to tell me bye?

I dreamed a dream that I fell in love with the moon.
Her eyes were white, and jade like with a touch of blue.
The body of a woman who would ever knew.
The stars begin to grow jealous of how we shined
The dark skies whistled love tunes for us
The sea water would create waves crashing in the sand
I dreamed a dream that I fell in love with the moon.
The night is forever young, for we are forever young at heart
I whispered to her in her soft ear. She smiled and kissed me
I grew chills that danced bumpy like on my skin
We danced on Mars, we chased each other on Saturn
We hugged on Jupiter and cuddled on Venus
Finally fell asleep on Pluto.
The earth begun to shake, and dark rocks begin to fall
The dark sky was falling apart, and the moon was to
She crumbled right in my arms like thin glass
I started to cry crystal tears that shined strongly
I awake on the soft night sands of the beach of Hawaii
Gazing into this huge white baseball without the red stitching
Stuck in the dark skies with stars as cousins.
It was only a dream. I dreamed a dream that I fell in love with the moon
If it happens again, please pretty please do not wake me.
One sleep filled night I dreamed a peaceful dream,
of emerald forests and tranquil streams.
I sat beneath a bending willow tree,
with leaf filled limbs it lent its shade to me.
I heard the sweet song of a robin near,
the sound of a memory held so dear.
It reminded me of my youthful days,
it's funny how the mind in times past strays.
The wind softly blew the sweet smell of spring,
fields full of flowers, a glorious thing.
The sky blue as far as the eye could see,
I found Heaven under a willow tree.
When the morning found me beside the stream,
she woke me from my dream inside a dream.
