I Dreamed a Dream

I dreamt a dream...with eyes awake As I walked alone...round dreamer's lake I dreamt that I...was in the crowds Of white winged angels...above the clouds Watching someone...whose near their death Gasping, panting...for his last breath Watching, waiting...for his eyes to close To give him wings...when his heart slows Above the clouds...he'll soon fly free I dreamt I died...that soul was me I Dreamed A Dream Poetry Contest Sponsor Silent One 2/18/2019
