I found a bone
By the gas works wall
Dreamed a dream
By the old canal
I gnawed that bone
By the factory wall
Dirty old bone
Dirty old bone.

Premium Member I Dreamed a Bird-of-Paradise

I dreamed a bird-of paradise arose one starry night.
Beautifully plumed, it floated in mystical moon-light.
I drifted along with it, as delicate as fine lace,
extraordinarily content, unconstrained and graceful.

Just Last Night, I Dreamed a Dream

Just last night, I dreamed a dream
Where everything was as it seemed
And nothing at all was how it is not.
This led me to a balancing thought -
“This bed is my bed! This wall is my wall!
Why, this is not a dream at all!”
Form:

Dream

I dreamed a dream last night that the small in me turned great,
the sun gave me warmth and healing powers,
the moon guided my path in the nights sky,
one breath, one heartbeat of my existence,
to worship and know as I am known.

Nature Abhors a Vacuum

The black hole took a bite of stars,
he dreamed a candy store.
He ate a hundred billion stars,
and still he wanted more.

When he had finished everything,
the universe was bare.
He put some stars back out in space,
to have an ‘over there’.

I dreamed a chihuahua was on our front porch
Speaking with Barak Obama's voice
Calmly and evenly admonishing Rhonda and me:
"Even were I tall enough to reach the knob,
I have no thumbs, and couldn't open the door,
so you're going to have to let me in yourselves."

Starlit

All across this starlit sky,
I dreamed a dream for me to die.
With your hand you touched my face,
I know that you're my saving grace.

And as we dance around the sun,
I know this love has just begun.
Spinning faster, falling hard,
All across this starlit yard.

The Dreamer

A dreamer who dreams, dreams now and then, belongs not to this world nor place that hes in. A dreamer who dreamed a dream of his dreams. Nothing is real, as is or as seems. The pen is his head, his tongue and his hand though dreams dont come true, for his dreams are damned.

Silver Lady Lost

I dreamed a dream
from within a dream
of a madcap search
for the Silver Lady.

Silver Lady lost and found
Silver Lady lost…
I heaved and cry-cried bitter tears
'til time became an ash.

Through fissure of a shattered heart
the Silver Lady lost was found
and alchemized
into the Golden essence of you.

Premium Member The Seventh Son

Dreamed a dream, upsetting his close kin,
The arrogance of youth,not the greatest sin;
Banished to a land, many miles south
Favoured by the Lord, with interpretations in his mouth;
A career like ,a roller coaster ride,
Oft-times than not,upon the winning side;
Joseph, older now,and full of wise counsel,
His early dream evolving exactly as he did forthtell.

Premium Member I Dreamed a Dream

I dreamed a dream
Of a flowing stream,
Where things got wet
In a pristine jet,

Near to that stream
The flowers did gleam,
They stole the show
With their coloured glow,

Came there the birds
Chirruping sweet words,
Then flew across
The carpeted moss,

I sat down there
To enjoy and stare,
Then screamed a scream
For 'twas just a dream.

If I Ever Dreamed

If I ever dreamed of the day I would meet you, it is now and forever…

If I ever dreamed that day would stop time and my heart …

I f ever dreamed this day would never end, deep inside no escaping no taking back words said or unsaid…

If I ever dreamed a blessing could be so blessed and full of amazement…

If I ever dreamed I would fall in love with you and forever be…

Been a Little Inconsequential Lately Touche

Been a little
Seen a little
Dreamed a little
Cradled a little
Cried a little
Loved a little
Lost a little
Been bitten a little
Bought a little
Sold very little
Been happy a little
Been sad a little
Felt pain a little
Joy a little
Been belittled

But rarely of late
Say
Little meaningful
Or
Nothing little

Consequential at all

When little matters
Most of all

My horizons look bleek
The sun no longer sets
The tide is at an impasse
Birds no longer sings
The rainbow is colorless
Cupid is on strike today
Hope no longer hopes
I see no star to make,
a wish upon tonight
My heart doesn't beat
I'm a modern day zombie
I'm trapped in yesterday
Dreams are overrated!
My dreams left with you

I Dreamed a Dream

I once dreamed a dream,
A long long time ago,
Sending you to the army,
A matter of pride for everyone in the town.

The last time you left,
Never in the world I knew,
It was the only time,
I would say goodbye.

They brought you back too soon,
Not in a way I wanted you to be,
For I didn’t know what fate had in store for me,
But I knew you had completed your duty,
As I had did mine.

Premium Member Rods of Steel Will Bend

I heard the steady cadence
The drum roll in the street
A thousand tramping soldiers
Tasting of defeat.
The sound of occupation
I thought it could not be,
A flag so full of justice
Would always flutter free.
I had dreamed a thousand dreams
And cast them to the wind
But often had forgotten
Even rods of steel will bend.
Raucous laughter melted
In the wake of dust and steam
Then suddenly awakened
I found it all a dream.

Lover's Wine

last night I dreamed a thousand lies
floating on moonbeams not surmised
a faceless lover I recognize
dreams unfounded that won't survive

breezes lilting deep green pine
our bodies flattening a design
on dense, sweet grass and forest vine
love heats quickly as we entwine
and you taste a lover's wine

opened eyes reveal night lies
of a dearly beloved and I
blazing truth in heart not mind
this broken heart split open wide

Swimming Hole

I found a secret swimming hole
And next to it a grassy knoll
The water was so blue and deep
Mesmerized I fell asleep
And in my sleep I dreamed a dream
That nothing was as it would seem
I dreamt of sunken treasure
At such a depth u could not measure
And in my dream I was a fish
And I swam guard
Swish swish swish
I can't explain what drove me to
But in my heart I just knew
I must protect this loot because
That is what a guard fish does

Twilight

As the day draws to a close and the glooming is upon us
The quiet creatures come forth to
sing their song and the soft magic rises
Fairies start to dance beneath the stars
and their music fills the air
The elves come forth to tend the forest and glade to walk under the moon
Gnomes rise to groom the forest creatures
and ted the little birds And man stands bewitched by the sight if he sees
believing he has dreamed a dream from beyond the veil

in the skeletal belly of the whale
i sat in awe and reverence,
there hung the fishy tale
of how we came to be

in the skeletal belly of the whale
i dreamed a void of severence
from winds that charged the sail
upon the thriving sea

in the skeletal belly of the whale
primeval shards of relevance
turned my lustre pale
and cut my spirit free

in the skeletal belly of the whale
i bowed my head in penitence
and all to no avail
became as one with me

Premium Member Shattered

Youth love broken;
        bitter lament, low earthen floor.
Dreamed a dream, dominant image spoken,
        painful idle no more.
Defile taste of the grave-mound as they lie crumbled.
Painful overwhelming grief they stand and stumbled.
    Muddle, confused, down they tumbled;
precious memories of love and strength awoken.

I dreamt a dream...with eyes awake
As I walked alone...round dreamer's lake
I dreamt that I...was in the crowds
Of white winged angels...above the clouds
Watching someone...whose near their death
Gasping, panting...for his last breath
Watching, waiting...for his eyes to close
To give him wings...when his heart slows
Above the clouds...he'll soon fly free
I dreamt I died...that soul was me

Premium Member I Dreamed a Dream a Dream of Sacrifice

I dreamed a dream, of Him,
kneeling in a verdant garden,
only he could nurture.
A place of peace and pardon.

     He gazes, locked favoring heaven,
sorrow steals his sight and soul,
whilst darkness hardens.

I witness in fear, whilst he bled
from severe innumerable laceration on his flesh.
A scarlet robe and woven crown,
a difficult heavy cross for him to bear.

Through shameful tears, to gather near and meet,
walked close, knelt at his feet.

Dreams

Have you ever dreamed a dream?
A dream so deep in thought,
a dream you comprehend not.
A dream so far above your grasp
yet inside your heart.
A dreams a wonderfull thing
that turns and turns inside your head
Untill one day when you dream has gone away
and all thats left is the memory of the dream you usto dream
And the recognizable thought
That youll dream no more
and as that thought sink in and the tears start to pour
just like your dream thats when your life means no more
