Yesterday I dreamed a dream,
that had no end.
You in your white gown, and long, black hair flowing.
You were calling my name.
I heard you, but I couldn't reach you!
And when I say your soul was tainted.
You went out in the night life.
You dressed in your black, evening ball gown.
You danced till the Red Sun came out, over the horizon.
You smiled at me.
A flame in my heart burned red hot!
My knees and hands shook with nerves;
Nerves of love and joy.
I blew you a kiss,
but you turned away!
Oh, please don't turn away from me,
for I would die, if it happened again!
Your beautiful and golden heart showed me the truth.
The truth that every gentleman wants to hear.
I've seen you walk the streets,
in the blue dawn of August.
As I followed you, you stopped and looked at me.
You smiled so beautifully, and my heart fluttered into oblivion!
You walked with your friends and I went my way.
I couldn't find a single trace of you that day.
I cried out "Why did I leave her like this?!"
I looked for you, all over the courtyards and town squares!
Yet no sight of your beauty.
... No sight of your golden heart, that I hold so dear to mine.
Where did you go?
Why did you leave?
Why did I leave... that is the question!
I should have stayed by your side,
till the ends of time.
Yet I had left.
Why...?
One gloomy and parish midnight.
I came along a road,
and soon found myself in front of a wayward cafe.
Smiling faces all around me.
I spotted a beautiful face that outstood all the other faces around me.
It was yours.
Your face brought me to sanity and I went over too you!
You spotted me and tried to run!
I caught you in the dirty hallway and pulled you in.
Our eyes met and I fell in love once again.
Sanity re-entered my mind, body and soul.
I kissed you and you kissed back.
You held my hand, and we left the cafe and walked down the street.
The street was gloomy, yet we together brightened the dark street.
We went back to the lit up city streets, of the lands filled with smiling faces,
and we fell in love and slept together.
You lay there in my restless arms and I gave you a sweet kiss,
upon your sweet and soft head.
Your dark hair was sweet smelling and felt of silk.
I closed my eyes and fell asleep with you,
there in my arms and we dreamed together
till the morning came and woke me up,
and took you away from my weak and weary arms.
I dreamed a dream of you.
Mother,
I used to walk in dark places and know that I was safe.
Because I knew that I loved you.
Mother,
I have abused my brothers and sisters.
I have contaminated your purity with murder.
I have raped your daughters.
I have kidnapped your children.
I have brought your blessed bosom to the brink of destruction.
And now, even when I walk in daylight I do not feel safe.
For now I am aware of what I have been to you.
Worse than a prodigal, I have endeavored to exploit the very mother who nurtures me.
And now that I have worsened whatever imbalance was in you before I arrived,
I endeavor to flee you like a coward through the grace of an oblivious savior.
Mother,
I have dreamed a dream of water.
I have dreamed a dream of living water.
And in this dream Jesus, my Savior, told me that he was not oblivious.
And in this dream Jesus told me that he was fully aware of my crimes against you.
Mother,
I have dreamed a dream of fire.
I have dreamed a dream of unquenchable fire.
And in this dream Jesus reminded me that I was sent here to heal you as you taught me of manhood.
And in this dream Jesus told me that if I could not love you, my mother, who I could see, then how could I love my Father in heaven who I could not.
Mother,
I have dreamed a dream of air.
I have dreamed a dream of whirlwinds.
And in this dream I breathed in the breath of forgiveness and I realized that it was not too late for us.
Mother,
I have dreamed a dream of earth.
And in this dream, Mother Earth, I see you and us together, fighting for our freedom.
Fighting against the delusion that our fates are not eternally intertwined.
Mother earth,
Please forgive us.
For true, we have betrayed you.
But it is not too late.
Mother,
I promise you that as sure as my savior is in heaven we are going to make it.
Mother,
I present myself to you as a living witness.
The Lord has not forsaken us.
For within our DNA is the secret to your healing and the end of our insanity.
Mother,
Thank you for loving and protecting me, even as I raped and wounded you.
And now it is my turn.
“In the name of Jesus, the earth and all of the earth’s inhabitants are one mind, heart, and body. In the name of Jesus, we are one person, one planet, and one purpose. In the name of Jesus, the lion will soon lay down with the lamb and this beautiful sound, this sound of the sacred Gaia will know harmony!!”
I dreamed a dream,
So comforting, so revealing,
That I felt like I could release
More than thousand red balloons in the air!
I dreamed a dream,
And I started to smile at life,
I started to live, I started to ground my belief in God,
I started to celebrate the trust that I had
On His power and in His words!
Why, the dream was connected to the one
Which I had had more than a decade ago,
The one which had shouted out to me
That abiding to the skies shall I have to be
As, I am chosen by them!
Yes, the dream made sense to everything which
I had thought had been mere parcels of my imagination;
The need to keep my body pure and untouched
The need to adopt a spiritual lifestyle
The need to abandon myself to the will of God
As, in the very end,
He remains the one to lead my soul on my fate!
Pray, the dream had my heart racing,
It had me giggling like a teenager in love, hidden,
Under my bedsheets,
It had me biting my lips in expectant ecstasy,
Why, it even had me suffocating with glee
As, mind you,
It revealed to me that I have been thrust
On the same path as the one for which had yearned
My broken self since more than a decade ago,
The one chosen, like me, by the skies,
For a purpose which transcends human understanding,
Human reasoning and human perception!
The dream had happened on a fine night of December
Of the year 2017, now
To trust in its essence is all that I can do and
To act according to its wishes I have been since then,
Smiling sweetly and daring to bare my heart
Even if I have always been, a shy mermaid,
Choosing always to hide in the shelter of my shell
Dreaming of what it would be like to reveal
In passionate frenzy, the exact proportions of my feelings!
I dreamed a dream
Which changed the course of my whole life,
Without it, I would have simply been living,
Stonily, as would a robot,
Going about with my duties, waiting for when
The skies would open themselves to me!
But I dreamed that dream
And it has me wanting to live,
Tangled, trapped and taken in its truths, in its essence,
In its visions, in its depths,
Holding on with such strength that no power,
Celestial or mundane,
Could tear me away from it!

Contest I dreamed a Dream
Sponsored by Silent One
What a hugging jollity and what jump delight
With "Golly! Everything!" deep in the night;
From hands-on packages---all there are---
Rippling ribbons fly out far!
Open that box, there; what've you got?
"All that I dreamed of, dreamed a lot!
Tickets and maps, yes! trips over sea!
Ah, and for you, dear, a present from me."
Grand, so, the shape, and firm, so, each part,
I know what it is, it's my new heart!
A bold one, a gold one, with a verse inside---
'May your life be integrity and your mind your pride.'
Certain it is, and yours cert, too;
That's why we're living, less won't do!
Giving and taking, glad to have won,
Bankers of honesty, hey! we have fun!
Now put on the coffee and light up a light;
We'll open a map into many a sight:
Vales little dreamt of, mounts never touched,
Trails just beginning, wonders half clutched;
Plateaus of promise waiting man's right---
Planet impassioned with traders' delight;
New dams awaiting, new cities, new farms,
Sparkways of business spreading out charms;
Thousands of earth-stars---Edison's eyes!---
Set to wide angles of night-wake surpeise!
Shipyards and airports humming Thought's strength;
Trainways and highways freighting grand length;
Tap-footed uptowns, where Top-Competence climbs
With Honor's dealings and Profit's chimes
(Ting! rings the money; cling! rings again!
Desires exchanging, happy are men);
Marble-halled fame and Bronze-palaced art,
Where boundless beauty drives the heart---
Logic's heart and good pulse of man,
United in his self-command!
To these we'll go, all these we'll see,
And mark the march of history;
Though Reason's torch flares up so high,
There's less of 'march' and more of 'fly'!
"Hey, down those lights." Why? What've you got?
"A new beginning of an ancient plot---
Some bubbly, bright, for the coming year,
And me, myself, right now, right here!"
Love now touches; kiss one, then kiss two!
Our true destination's a self-made brew.
A trip for tomorrow, a sip for today;
To have no sorrow we gladly pay!
Routing and planning, and shouting "To be!"
Sweet is the music rounding the tree.
"Yea!" to life's pleasure; "Hail!" to this dawn!
Worldly happiness, Christmas, go on!
What a hugging jollity and what jump delight

I dreamed one night that I was a little seed
A little future seed, a sprout to a better world
A mother with many children
at least one hundred and four
~
It was a virgin birth
We were all quite alike
brown small shoes and a small parasol of hair
Our mother was so beautiful in her youth
a big beautiful yellow smile
who gave hope for a new spring
She had chosen a garden with lots of sunshine
A flower that makes the impossible possible
where other flowers cannot bear
~
A happy childhood we had
The time had come
We were ready to leave our home
In the wind music
up against the light of heavenly mystery
With the help of the wind
we began a long journey
~
I was a dandelion child
and I carried the title with pride
Although this was a strange dream
When spring comes
~
look for me in your garden

Go now heartless one, its a time to say goodbye.
Together we danced to the music of the night,
but now the sound of music brings tears to the eye.
I could have danced all night, forever held you tight.
Together we danced to the music of the night.
I dreamed a dream where you said to my heart "I do."
I could have danced all night, forever held you tight.
Now any dream will do that does not include you.
I dreamed a dream where you said to my heart "I do,"
You said: "Its an impossible dream, forget those."
Now any dream will do that does not include you.
In time, each memory dies like a wilted rose.
You said: "Its an impossible dream, forget those."
Said: "If ever I would leave you, not to be sad."
In time, each memory dies like a wilted rose,
as seasons of love balance between good and bad.
Said: "If ever I would leave you, not to be sad;
your soul was born defying gravity - be strong."
As seasons of love balance between good and bad,
my heart believes somewhere someone sings my soul's song.
Your soul was born defying gravity - be strong,
but now the sound of music brings tears to the eye.
My heart believes somewhere someone sings my soul's song.
Go now heartless one, its a time to say goodbye.

From The Book of Days, Sonnet 2
For Lo! I must relate this tome to you
who gather here to listen and believe
to tell the story I believe is true
before my sanity (BARK!) takes its leave.
The Spuds in Exile traversed the terrain
wearing long dresses of the fine-spun silk
all travelling by sedan car and train
with their bright ears fresh-bathed in llama milk
and (UUUURRRGGHHH!!) such necklaces as seldom seen
made of gold-plated prunes and aubergines
graced the neck-less heads of brown and green
of these arcane potato libertines.
And (WOOF!) soon you must go and leave me here
for my time of insanity is near.
Retrieved Passage 4:
A Running Transformathon
Mutation comes: hair after little spiny hair
appears on palms and small akimbo knees
and he is wont to don dark leather underwear
and mumble backwards in dour blasphemies
The beer flows, the cape swirls, the spud appears
grinning like a satyr in the dark
with twin horns standing up like stabbing tuber spears
he's poised to lope and gibber in the park
Mutation comes: the cycle goes and comes again
when the moon's bright halo lights the sky
the spud goes skinny-dancing at your window pane
and howls along with every mad dog's cry.
Retrieved Passage 5:
Revenge of The Jelly Men
I dreamed a dream,
screamed a scream,
a vocal vent of pain:
the Jelly Men are coming
to find me here again!
They are coming slow and stealthy,
they are coming with blancmange,
they are coming back to pelt me
with a stale Victoria sponge.
I see the day
fade away
to all-consuming black;
the Jelly Men are coming
in dark, deadly attack!
with their moaning and their howling
and their teeth fiercely displayed,
and their custard dogs slow-prowling
in the sleepless, shifting shade.
A sound of drums,
the tyrant comes,
on legs covered in hair!
The Jelly Men are coming
with their dark, demented stare!
I will lash them with strong cable,
I will fight them fearlessly,
I am here under the table
merely out of strategy.
Good Morning
My old friend
Nice waking up to see you again
Still doing ok?
Cause I am doing fine
Except for these thoughts, dreams and pains of mine
Do not worry over me
I will make it through
Just if you please could stop showing up out of the blue
Scaring me half to death
Along with any woman I ever met
I would greatly appreciate it
Thank you
Yes I remember back when I tried to do you in
Docs told me I could not be your buddy
You pushed my mother away
To the point it was questioned her love for me
Yet our friendship began
You took me places I have never been
To the edge of life itself and back again
Just was me and you friend
All through school I was the loser
Walking those halls 'o hell
I would never that girl amuse her
Many a boys lucky at most proms
Not me
I was home with you and five dames
For the life of me I can not remember their names
I dreamed a dream of dreams
Entering them asleep and awake
You shown me that no death was in my life to take
Or my existence had no goodness sake
Staring at me from the bottom of that lake
I swear one of these days
I will find someone
So we can go our separate ways
I am not tired of you pal
It is just I am always alone
Even in a group
With my family at home
Speaking to noone on my cell phone
Copying actors off the T.V.
Wanting to be somebody I can never be
Trying to seem normal
When I knew I was lie
But you took me and made this empty lifeless shell
So that I would not die
You saved my life a thousand times fold
Even now that I am 42 yrs old
What I can I say to you friend?
Where can I go?
That you have not shown me
Or that I do not know
So many times love came and gone
Til I just stop answering the door
I have 2 twin daughters
Whose mother used your name on court papers
For my name not to be theirs anymore
But it is ok
We never can win
Even when we do not lose
Because I was never a real person
And we were never friends
This poem is (ALLEGORY) but it is not in the *poem type* list
So I put free verse.
Joseph dreamed he would be
A leader, a superior, a head,
The one who his brothers bowed
To, humbled by the fate that was his,
The destiny, vibrant in hues of blessings,
Rich with insight into the everlasting
Peace and promise, the yearnings
Brought into his young heart by the
Heavenly Father, who he worshipped
Joseph was a dreamer and a believer
He sought the One who heals us,
The One who fulfills us and inspires us
To listen to His wisdom, His inklings
The wonders of His kingdom,
His ability to feed us with the bread of life,
Quench our thirst with the living water,
Brighten our thoughts with His goodness,
Pour out joy through our moments,
Send down hope into our darkness
Joseph was never more blessed
Than when He was walking the road
Toward fulfilling his destiny,
His purpose for living and giving
Back to the One who made him, the One
Who gave Him a love beyond jubilant,
A love that was true and beautiful,
A love that never questioned the reason
For the spirit’s gift – his dream –
Fulfilled, his purpose – succeeded,
His light shimmering through the night,
Brilliant as the stars and glowing
Like the moon who had always known
He would someday see the glory,
The joy – in all his dreams come true,
The realization of his calling –
Bringing life to those who need his charms,
His wisdom and truth, the miracle
Brought to him by the God of the universe
Joseph was a dreamer and a believer
Who would one day know the peace
That comes from never giving in to grief
Never letting doubt discourage hope
And always knowing that, with God…
Anything – absolutely anything –
Is possible!
– so keep dreaming and
Believing – time will see your dreams
Changed into the reality that is your blessing
From the God who gave each heart
The hope, the faith – to simply believe!
Genesis 37:5 KJV - And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.
