Christmas Retro

Christmas comes calling each year around,
Ringing in joy and celebrations profound
A message of sharing wrapped in delight.
Culminating the year in hopes soft light.

What does Christmas mean to me,
Opens a floodgate of memories.

The snowy beard, the bright red hat,
A jolly belly — imagine that!
From distant lands with mystic aura,
Santa arrives — every child’s euphoria.

Candied fruits,
Orange and cinnamon induced,
Plum cakes so rich,
Ginger and nutmeg enriched.
Pine, fir or spruce,
A woody aroma to boost,

Poinsettias add colour and glam,
Enhancing old terraces charm.
Wreaths and mistletoe on show,
Reindeer and Santa in tow.

Christmas stockings, filled and hung with care,
Unwrapping gifts, joy fills the air.
Candy canes and twinkling lights,
Together they usher in delight.

A time to care, a time to share,
To breathe to life each Christmas prayer.
To pen new tales of love and kindness,
And light the world through winter’s brightness.

A white Christmas in Chicagee don't make no sense
Bout time we skeedaddle, let good times commence

So where to go, my darlin' Maggie and me
As we swig down our egg nog and pack our tree?

The lil' miss and I'll be spendin' this Christmas
Way down yonder on the Panama Isthmus

There's a honky-tonk there on the ol' canal
Tequilla will be flowin' for me and my gal

Escape Clause

Writing
is but
an escape
for the soul

Freeing
our passions
making
— us whole

Catalyst that gold doubloom;
Careful, with a clause conquered;
I rebuild what I consume;
I came, I clawed, I conjured;
Savage and soft specks subsume,
potent potion passed and poured;
Dare to cross and drown in doom.

Premium Member Santa Buddy - a spoof of Santa Baby

Yo! Santa Buddy, do you think you could help out a bro,
You know, with some dinero.
Santa Buddy - my lady wants to eat somewhere nice.

Yo! Santa Buddy, do you think you could help out a friend
And send, something I can spend.
Santa Buddy - my lady wants some jewelry with ice.

Every time you hold out your hand,
I give a contribution for my fellow man.
Every time you ring your bell,
I put a few dollars in your silver pail.

Yo! Santa Buddy, your biggest admirer is me,
But see, my pocket's empty.
Santa Buddy - my lady is so way overpriced!

Imaginary Validation Clause

Imagine the child

Whom on a daily basis

The only validation or commendation

They were ever given

Was that they were told

They were simply , less in fact

Good for nothing at all

You lack the basic concentration and skills

Required to contribute in order

To your own educational progression

A so called educator teacher themselves

Failed in their capacity and duty to read

And take the time to out

To investigate the fine print and clause

Regarding individuality and creativity

Because if they did

They would then save themselves

The future humiliation that lies ahead

When eventually the 1

Who they let slip through their nett

Comes back to haunt and bite them

And they do not only fail to thank them

Or mention them but rather instead

Smile and have a laugh at their expense

Without even having to do much as

Say a word or mention

Their name at all

Premium Member October Clause

It's only October but I'm in despair
So I'm writing to old St Nick
My feet are up no care for my hair
In bedroom feeling quite sea sick

I know I'm very blessed today
Even if it's normal pink pain
Years roll on like a test of faith
I STILL bleed like I'm cutting vein.

I have to ask dear Santa Clause
To deliver me one thing early
Take me into menopause
I will showcase a smile so pearly.

No more super bad headaches
No more needs for tampon, pad
No more favorite things ruined, great
No more making him a dad.

Premium Member Playing Santa

He was a gentle giant - towering
Bigger than the notorious Claus
His jolly and joy were never overpowering
His gift was a reminder of grandma’s
He represented Santa - his love the cause

Santa 'Clause'

Who shall
deck the hall
With Santa's
favourite pall?
When he shows
with his shoulder store
Ours, he shall bless
from his finest stall.

Who shall tell
the king's course
That 'Ologbojo'
is not a Santa Claus?
The Roman sort
we crave for
Not 'Adio' in
the spirit form.

Does Santa Clause Exist

Do the games you play exist?
Do your fantasies exist?
Is Star Trek real?
Is your dream of a new home real?

Dreams are all that little children have
Why take them away?

Yes, Santa Clause is real!

(I just had the worse experience of my lifetime, last night a mother who is a friend of mine told her little boy on Christmas Eve there was no Santa Clause which is up to her not me. I was outside and he came up to me and ask me if Santa was real, I really didn’t know what to say the only thing I could think of saying is: He lives in your heart and he smiled, why do people take dreams away form little children who have fantasies and dreams?)

If Santa Clause isn't real then stop putting up Christmas Trees and getting the little ones hopes up!

Premium Member Santa Clause and Frosty Taking In a Disney Show

After their work at the North Pole was done,
Santa Claus and Frosty wanted some fun.
Off to downtown they did go
to take in a Disney Show.
Santa called out the reindeer one by one.

Candy, popcorn, and drinks they did partake.
At intermission - need for bathroom break.
Santa gave a squeal of fright;
he screamed a warning that night
where Frosty hands were now only a flake.

Santa Claus Sos

Santa Claus is busy in a Mall
But he will need YOUR help after all
To help meet his goal
Send one lump of coal
So Donald Trump can build his own wall

Fear Not the Clause

FEAR NOT THE CLAUSE

There is no cause to fear the clause
It has no teeth, has no sharp claws
Though analysis may give you pause
Dissect it, then you’ll be the one to dictate

It has a subject, and predicate
But a usual function subordinate
It does neither state nor interrogate
It's a delegate with aid to dispense

It may have a pronoun and a verb with tense
And might be inclined to make a pretence
But while it may have a where or when sense
It’s not a true sentence; although a key stone

Lest it's the MAIN clause self determined, alone
A patrician of syntax up high on a throne
As a sentence support like a vertebra bone
Put in its right place could give words a revivali

So direct the clause, noun, adverb, adjectival
Do not be concerned, it won’t risk your survival
And make it act as your aide, genitival
There is no cause to fear the clause

Premium Member Rebel Without a Clause

I CAN WRITE YOU A LETTER
I CAN DROP YOU A LINE

I CAN DRAFT YOU A MEMO AND
I KNOW IT WOULD BE FINE

 BUT THE PAPER I LACK
      IS WHAT'S GIVIN' ME PAUSE

 GOT NO CONTRACT TO SIGN
      I’M A REBEL WITHOUT A CLAUSE

 I DON'T WANT AN AFFIDAVIT
WANT A LICENSE NOW TO WED

 WAIT, NO MORE EXCUSES
      NEED THAT MARRIAGE CLAUSE INSTEAD

 I REALLY DO WANT YOU
 AND THAT WHITE PICKET FENCE

BUT WILL YOU MARRY ME SUGAR
OR WILL YOU JUST RUN DEFENSE

NOW MY MAMA SURE TOLD ME
INK THE DEAL FROM THE START

 YOU WANNA BE LEGAL WITH
      ALL AFFAIRS OF THE HEART

BUT SHE SURE DIDN’T TELL ME
      THAT LOVE FOLLOWS NO LAWS

AND NOW I FIND THAT I AM JUST
      A REBEL WITHOUT A CLAUSE
