DEAD WAIT
You brave enough child
You brave enough man
Just because you will it
Just because you can
To pierce the everchanging rock
To crack the patterned egg
To peer into the center
To witness then to beg
Yes, he left your mother
Said he disappeared
Said I stole him from her
Decidedly, flipped fear
Then drip drip drip
The trickle
Drip drip drip the bleed
Gashes gush from every side
Every blatant need
Vigilant servant lover
Wishful injured steed
No blessed nor glory's cover
Just bog like tacky weed
Snares at every crossing
Babies become boss
Grace shimmers only briefly
Persecution circumvents the cross
As the sun vanishes and the moon appears
A surreal quietness surrounds.
As my love flutters away and loneliness replaces it

Of immutable truths and consequences—

When to bless and rest,

Diogenes sought an honest man,
appalled by Man's path to destruction.
And searched Athens by lantern at night,
casting light on lies and corruption.
He concluded his search was in vain,
for Man's integrity could be bought.
And His willingness to sell His soul,
showed an honest man was vainly sought.
As the hungry specter of Greed feeds,
Its appetite achieves no relief.
And circumvents inconvenient truths,
under the guise of a shared belief.
Although Man can discern right from wrong:
His mettle has tarnished over time.
And after having fallen so far,
He's broken and reluctant to climb.
Hope fuels the desire that burns
within your longing heart and soul.
And yet, loneliness soon returns,
levying a heartbreaking toll.
When trickling tears douse passion's flame:
Anxiety makes you nauseous.
And as doubts manifest as shame:
lust circumvents being cautious.
Happiness morphs into teardrops
within a world where wishes die.
For the lying just never stops,
and fledgling hearts need trust to fly.
The moth and flame begin their waltz,
yet courting death, she may expire.
Enamored, she's blind to fire's faults:
for desire burns, hotter than fire.
Why give up and no longer try;
try to help me understand why.
Dying dreams cause constant crying;
crying, for our dreams are dying.
You once swore that your love was true,
true is all that I ask of you.
Youth circumvents unbending truth,
truth is more flexible to youth.
Love cannot be built upon lies;
lies can't support the weight of love.
There was a time you used to care,
care implied you’d always be there.
Time has led endless actors
to the center of life's stage.
And yet, balance was maintained;
before Man's disruptive age.
A growing population
showed no consideration.
And yesterday's callousness
spawned today's situation.
Idolized insanity
is the legacy of fools.
Yet, greed disguised as progress
often circumvents the rules.
Sowing seeds of apathy;
we warp the minds of our young.
And future generations
are robbed by a silver tongue.
Man's an arrogant being;
who can't contemplate defeat.
For God gave Him dominion
over all; but His conceit.

summer's heaviness invades
rain circumvents geraniums
ant's N' azaleas dance through sidewalks
where tiny green grass creep 'neath weeds
to see sun seed grey with bright
frogs N' grasshoppers flop along
best friends
when storm clouds bend beyond old oak trees
boys N' girls skip rope,
Double Dutch N' such
up N' down the cul de sac curve
moms N' dads pretend everything's ok
when they've long since strayed away
from light N' love
gloves come off
when lights go out
they scream N' shout
the children barely notice
yet they'll feel the coldness N' cold shoulders
as it's gets colder N' colder
just not days N' nights like now
fuss N' fights have no place
right here N' right now
along these roasting roads
where ticky tack homes
crowd suburbia
where riddles N' rainbows paintbrush the day
summer's heaviness invades
as nature n' naïve children play...

The meteoroid
Circumvents the void
'Til captured by the atmosphere
It then plummets toward the Earth
With glowing core
As a meteor
But after a dazzling fiery flight
On impact
is a meteorite
The night so long with dreaded suspense
and pain the darkness augments.
Morning circumvents
the silence.
Grope!
Dawn's mist of dew inspires common sense
dread retreats in self-defense.

Birdsong echoes my triumph intense,
stirring light and breeze commence.
Morning circumvents

Hope!
A fellow stranger's doubt will surely sense
Judgmental indiscretion of defect.
'Tween enemies pure hatred circumvents
The moral obligation to respect.
The various consistencies as friend,
Distill from swollen hearts this lonely ache,
With passion starts yet may abruptly end
So rarely people risk their hearts to break.
A lover's walk is not fatality,
Creating life two intimately share.
If nurtured, loved, and taught respectfully
Prosperity so gratefully will care.
Of all relations listed here above
Why is it people suffer feeling love?
Beyond the Light
Across the past forgotten shadows dance
Nor distant yearning nor discreet romance
Dispels with telling insight
A crippled heart's perceptive, inward glance--
Nor vanquishes starlight's contrasting night
Nor aids discerning sorrowed wrongs from right
Upon our dreams impress the present need
Assuming, vague realities succeed
In dulling, irregardless of consequence,
The burning edge of Passion's lonely seed--
And, unforgiving, shapes from hither hence
All promise and desire it circumvents
Beyond the light, obscure temptations trace
The lines of thine exquisite form and face
O fragile Life! Long penance...
E'er indifferent to persuasion's gentle grace,
Unleash our bridled hearts to recommence
That blessed quest for Love in welcome silence
That timetable of rapt familiarity's discern
resolves transmitting rumors, my befriend
dysfunctions with misfitting, halting's bend
and circumvents a standstill, toward no end!
While opposite in furthering's belief
beginning's placate, anchoring's achieve
that dormancy becomes a truth's bereave ~
life's reconciling justice to perceive!
All told, involuntary atmospheric sieve
the matters decimating plannings blind
are flushed away, as truth's fulfilled contend
perniciously is focused to amend!
That timeless trust, no telltale virtues send
can irritate or spill the hope's distend,
hurt's mortifying gospel's spoken trend
are turned to love, by hope's conspired extend!
