Refining consciousness
Line of inquiry
instrumentalising mind, I rested thought
employing it only when needed
shifting to heart, I became self-taught
gentling touch, voice of conscience heeded

Like water that was let loose from its reservoir,
I decided to gear my feet to where gravity will take me,
than always forcing myself to flow upward,
just to go back down.
I should go where the gust blows
to be with the grasses that just grow, even without care,
than going against the wind
to a direction where only cactuses have the right to thrive.
I must tame my pride and follow the wisdom of the sky,
so, like the sun, I could thrive even when clouds are gray,
and even when days becomes the night,
for, on one side, I always shine.
Glittery red hearts and a giant puffy pink one
The office is full of Valentines day kind of fun
Old Gladys who should have died or retired
Irritated by the kind of things that have transpired
Until bathroom break when she can see
Someone left a sparkly valentine for me!
A drop of water fell on me
not one, but two, then three...
Ready to curse the skies and Thee
in barehead selfishness, admittedly
When a blade of grass came up to me
with his heartfelt, poignant plea
'Without water, Sir, you see
I simply no longer will be'
My eyelids wet, but not from rain
I put him down on my lawn again
Lifted my hands, my palms spread wide
'Let the heavens gush forth,' my joyful cry
Deep in your eyes when my gaze flies i feel,
Sometimes rain sometimes a river speaking.
Sometimes a night whispers something so still,
And feel someone a man like me seeking.
Over the years some of the stars faded.
Some of the doors meant to open stood shut.
Some hope and dreams lay by the streams jaded.
words that I bled screamed in her head, oh but !
The trees and wind tells me, "rescind, move on".
Memory pearls can't be hurled callously,
oh How can I, pierce a sad sky forlorn.
She's moonlight green gentle valley breezy.
Now She's a dove, clouds way above my soul,
flowers on dirt, her change of heart, will call.

You have a hard time looking me in the eyes,
That is because you have something to hide.
You surely can't justify the things you did,
All the secrets and your motive you kept them hid.
I don't know why I thought I was special,
I guess I figured I had more potential.
You have someone else's arms holding you,
Loneliness and isolation is what I look forward to.
You have no idea how deep a wound can be,
You don't do things like this and walk away Scott-free.
I don't know why you did this you’re like the rest,
A woman Is not for you Oh well you did your best.
You really stopped caring a long time ago,
You lead me on because that's how you roll.
You rock my world then toss me like dice,
It's not the first time you've done it twice.
You look and speak to me as if I were a stranger,
I wonder if you wonder Am I in danger.
Your man is older than your father,
I'm wasting my breath Why even bother.
I get it you had a change of heart,
Being a cold blooded serpent is not playing it smart.

My dreams turn red fallen by a wayside
A change of heart
All for what?
Time flies
Quick
Now
Autumn’s
Fallen leaves
Dry as the breeze
Raking up a storm of forgotten leaves!

Every day I wake up and I hear the song.
Over on the mountain is where I belong.
Walking with my guide right by my side,
I’m nailed to the cross but I’m alive.
That’s my first sign, my first sign!
My child I’m sorry that you must see misery.
It will turn to joy for you as you hold on to me.
My love like the morning light,
Will set a pace for you just right.
There is a shortcut I’m showing you,
It’s keeping the commandments for they are true.
That’s my first sign!
This is the first sign I’ve received,
I’ve been running blind and deceived.
The first sign I see inside,
Tells me I must kill my pride.
First, I must fight the war within,
Give to Him all of my sin,
Become the life He’s living in me,
Break these chains and become free!
That’s my first sign!
It’s truly worth it so run to the light.
Go forward, and embrace everything right,
Give and receive as my servant son.
Be made whole and made at one.
That’s your first sign!
You paint the skies with indigo delight
Whisper silence into the vibrant dawn
Capture the hues of wonderful insight
Inspirations of hope to which I’m drawn
You breathe life into the music with joy
Fill moments with promises of kindness
Assure hearts that anguish you will destroy
Expose that bitterness causes blindness
You light up the night with stars shimmering
Seeking out souls to awaken with love
Blushing hearts tender so they’re glimmering
With faith that comforts and comes from above
You are the One who makes my life worthwhile
You send hope, faith and love with a soft smile
How fickle are the humors of the heart,
capricious and of alternating hue,
a masked chameleon of cunning art;
transmuting colours often hid from view.

Now that you're thinking,
Away from the crowds,
Now that you're able,
To stay in all night.
What matters most to you?
Is it freedom? Is it time?
The city is renewing,
The clouds look intact;
No worries, let's wait,
Life pauses sometimes.
But now that you're thinking,
That you're by my side;
What matters most to you?
Is it freedom?
Is it time?
Or is what am I thinking?
That you have a change of heart.
No matter the thoughts,
No matter the sighs;
I'll be contemplating,
The rhythms of time.
A Change of Heart
My heart saw things differently.
In it we were still in bed.
We were laughing and talking,
and…
It was Saturday morning,
No where to go…
The best thing to do,
was be with you.
Together!
A moment later,
you left the bed,
you got dressed,
and left the room,
you made coffee, for you,
and sat out in the swing.
That changed everything.
I go up.
I went into the bathroom.
I looked into the mirror,
I asked…
Why?
I am;
to short to tall, to thin, to small, to fat,
and definitely too needy.
My hairs is;
Stiff, wild and looks like I came back,
from a party in the Caribbean…
where pirates roam and tell no tales. (Las Vegas)
My sexy gown is out of date.
I am all “renaissance”, Lord and Lady.
Silly me.
Perhaps…
I am better?
Free.

The heart of man is often ruled by pride
For greedy aspirations never cease.
Yet love would wish to be life's constant guide
And wisdom preach the ways to lasting peace.
You seek to own a wealth beyond compare
And think your worldy cravings rule supreme.
Take heed for life's possessions can ensnare
Release your heart, pursue a greater dream.
Hold my hand and watch a golden sunrise,
And gaze in awe on starry summer nights.
Harmonize with nature, let the blue skies
Reflect a warm embrace of shared delights.
Pursue your quest for riches carefully.
For where your treasure lies, your heart will be.

Three wishes were granted I hope they come true
I would turn the hands of time for their
Are many things I wish to redo
I’d take that job in Paris instead of listening to my mother
I’d tell my best friend, how much I Love him then
maybe we would be together
I’d stop the bullet that killed my brother
That is what I will do
Then all of us would be together and I won’t feel so lonely
Three wishes I've been granted, please let
Them come true for there is so much in my
Life that I did not get to do
