A Change of Heart
My heart saw things differently.
In it we were still in bed.
We were laughing and talking,
and…
It was Saturday morning,
No where to go…
The best thing to do,
was be with you.
Together!
A moment later,
you left the bed,
you got dressed,
and left the room,
you made coffee, for you,
and sat out in the swing.
That changed everything.
I go up.
I went into the bathroom.
I looked into the mirror,
I asked…
Why?
I am;
to short to tall, to thin, to small, to fat,
and definitely too needy.
My hairs is;
Stiff, wild and looks like I came back,
from a party in the Caribbean…
where pirates roam and tell no tales. (Las Vegas)
My sexy gown is out of date.
I am all “renaissance”, Lord and Lady.
Silly me.
Perhaps…
I am better?
Free.
