As The Light Fades

White doves flutter, dying words whisper
silence becomes haunting, and Angels sing
a lone filtering light of soft glisster
casts fleeting shadows from a white dove's wing
this lighted arrow pierces the dusk-gray
I shall pray for you on my knees my love
and touch the hard floor where your casket lay
to seek unanswered questions from above
I find no comfort in your final breath
forgive me, as I taste this bitter wine
release me from a vow I once confessed
by the shadow of your spirit divine
poison drips bitter from this drink I've made
brings a silent cold dark, as the light fades...

Premium Member From 2013-Once Upon a Time Bubba Had the Flu

Bubba has the flu
I do not know what to do
Since Bubba has the flu

I can not see in front of me
I can not see behind me and Bubba still has the flu
And I do not know what to do

Should I call Sherlock to find out what happen to make Bubba to have the flu
He would know what to do about Bubba having the flu

Sherlock sure did know what to do about having the flu
He gave me a Watson bulb to screw into the situation '
And there was no more reason to burn the wood since we had this position

Once in the socket the bright light look like a rocket
And now I have got it

I can now see in front of me
I can now see behind me
But as for Bubba, he still has the flu
And I still do not know what to do.

47 Years 2013

47 Years 2013

My thoughts and memories come and go

To go into denial of getting old

Recalling only things in the past

Endearing love that always lasts

To observe and enjoy the growth of your kin

With abundant love you always win

To live to see another day

Continued love surrounds me

Especially YOU

Places to visit.

This body aches to fake another day
to stay one step ahead
but if there was another way
I think I'd stay in bed.

Not built to last
finished now and cast adrift
and yet my spirits lift
when I gaze upon the face before me
a face filled sensitivity
duration and nativity.

I wish I could see the whole
wish I could see the role that's played

Laid underneath the Ocean skies
I look up and realise quite suddenly
that we are the creativity.
we are the circle come complete
and in the meeting of this mind,
with a kind of glee
I understand what the me in me can do and be.

The secret lies in letting go and going on..
..not holding but in giving back.

This is the other way in which we seek
to help the helpless, feed and clothe the meek.

My body aches to fake another day..
..but another way plays out
and bed becomes anathema.

To get out there and to become
a reason for the sun to shine.
another time to stay in bed.
today I shall,
be led instead of leading
be read to instead of reading.

Another way of learning, the tutor turning,
the yearning of a child that takes the
message home into his heart.

The day you were born, my soul was set free
From the chains and pain that held on to me
No longer swimming with demons, They all let me be
As the love took hold, the angels did sing.

The day you were born, my eyes opened wide
All my feelings of doubt began to subside
As my heart, and yours, would softly collide
I held you, I loved you, my soul swelled with pride

The day you were born was the best day of my life
Forever etched into time by the blade of my knife
From a man, to a father, I earned my stripes
The day you were born, god showed me the light.

i can feel it happening inside of me again. the coldness that slowly chokes the love out of my heart. it's clumping in my throat and i can barely breathe without remembering every fault. every fragment of my memory turns to you, and i can see you walking away. i want to follow, but the ice is so thin on this path that i fear i won't make it past. i try imagining a life without you and i'm brought to a world of gray. i just want you to understand. i want you to reach for my hand- not just when im torn on your rug, but when i'm happy. i want you to make me feel important- not just when i'm crying into your chest, but when we're laughing in the dark. i've put you on a pedestal so high in my mind; i wish my heart was big enough to reach you. i wish my words were beautiful enough to any hold value. i have always been the first to cry and swallow my words. i dont have the strength to tell you how much i need you and how i need you to love me.
oh, i need you to love me.
i need you to love me.
i need you to love me.

Devil Within 25 08 2013

All my poems writ by only the greatest of pains,
Every verse born out of the memory that remains.
I sat in silence to study its golden delight;
Only for this Dreamer to awaken his Devil tonight…

Just like Jesus without His wine-
Or a poet without his rhyme.
Mankind bastards tainted my soul;
Raped my words and played me whole!

Safely away from my world- in a midnightmare,
White rose withering- my corpse the Devil’s lair.
Witnessing another black rose born,
Silently… On a forlorn winters morn…

“Aw dumb boy, romantic only on paper.
Your virginity lost in a single verse.
Death has woven Her wedding dress
at the Genesis of thy birth… “

Penta stanza’s without Heaven’s grace,
Devil kin and Oblivion without a face.
Put a stake right through my Heart…
Drag me out to the sunshines dart…

Boston Marathon 2013

Rock us
To the core
Images splattered
Across every screen
New news, wrong news, bad news
In the brouhaha all semblance
Of order is lost
A marathon turned to a scramble
Some run for their lives
Some race to the fallen
The horror drags on
Police killed
School than neighborhood
Shutdown
Locked down
Ghost town
Of a vibrant city
Stats come in
3 killed in double blasts
260 injured
1 policeman shot
Yet the suspects (2)
Are dead or caught
Does this mean
We can
Breathe?

October 2013

Worn out souls - exhausted toys,
Rushed decisions, shaking voice,
Impatience, no resignation,
Taking nothing into consideration.

Wanted those hands on my body,
Vampire barenecked kiss,
Eager eyes and avid lips, - drove me crazy, and
Almost broke my desperate attempts to resist.

Maimed, lost and timid hearts,
Lets tear them out, prolonging the farce,
I prefer being arctic cold in frost,
Instead of feeling always tattered and lost.

Finished all the cruel games,
These days go by and I finally find,
Relief and patience, from the soulful confusion,
Luckily, having no any more illusion.
Only regret and disappointment that I allowed this intrusion.

I am not a slave or stupid,
Being smart and shrewd,
Just in front of you,
Become so crazy and teenage rude…

Running away – doesn’t save,
If only showing one’s true self; but again
Under the mask of indifference,
I still pretend playing the game..

And as if accidentally throwing - hey…
Still wonder if there is an end to this unvalued
Cat-and-mouse game?

Fell in love wit him? - ei, in any case,
But all the cosmic space is sleeping in his gaze.

Boston, April 15, 2013

A Spring afternoon racing marathon miles -
a crowd thick with families, runners and smiles,
shocked and bloodied by the burst of bomb’s twin blast
decimating the thrill of the finish line to be passed,
forever marking the moment when we collectively cried
as innocents were bloodied, were damaged, and died.

When roar of crowds and victories cheers
turn to blistered rage and painful tears -
when a moment where valiant struggles end
is broken by flesh as it burns and rends -
then the flash of a coward’s malicious act
highlights a city’s strength as fact.

And in the drifting smoke’s noxious gloom -
instead of the terror the heinous act assumes,
the fire that burns in every patriot’s breast
ignites heroism in the strongest and the best,
driving moments of humanity and heart
that refuse to allow us to be torn apart.

A tradition that’s lived more than a hundred years
will outlive a moment of a madman’s fears.
A city that has known two centuries of time,
its citizens stronger than any single act of crime,
will never bow down to the jackboot of fear –
the race will see a lot more runners next year.

A Vending Machine In Nashville, 2013

Head or tails is that your good side or the bad
shiny, worn, new, old, smart, stupid societal
cash register?

We all get piled up.

Your denomination tells your class: two cents or fifty
indentations of personality ealge, flag, ego or in
God do you trust?

Fold a twenty the right way

Now do you believe in hell?

No. I know your type: the fake quarter the boy
scored, poor and bored at the railroad tracks
bashed, smashed, beaten, used.

We all get piled up.

God only collects the shiny coins.

Mothers Day 2013

Love and longevity
              Are
   The ultimate factors'
  To keeping a love alive
            - And -
It has a certain nuances'
   In sustaining that life
           ------
  It keeps' one alive
   Ever reminding us to
Let each and every work
    Be the work of God
And that each work be decant
With the seeds of His love
            - And -
  Let our Mothers' Day
       Be practiced
 Fore you are my Mother
          And this day
   Is preordained for you to
Exalt your contribution in the name
Of all that which is holy...

The End Is the Beginning - Bye 2013 Hello 2014

and in the end
a beginning will be made
to forget the tragedy and pain of the year that will pass
and let the happy memories linger
and all the blessings be counted
starting the day right
adding a new list to our book of life
to spent the time of gold
to achieve, hope and perseverance
as the new year moves along
may the new year be happy and the next christmas be merrier

Last Poem of 2013

2013 is at its end
days and words gone
I celebrate alone
it is quiet
quiet is good...

I light a candle.

What the New Year will bring
I do not know
only God knows
my life for Him to know

I cannot know.

Whatever I did was wrong
this I know
whoever I met to forget
I know

Everything was for love.

Love is why I'm here
love is why I believe
anything can be achieved in life
New Years most glorious light

is sweet hope
2013 is gone
dead is the year...
