<P>I'm so excited to be a part of PS. Everyone has been so kind and inspiring. I have also enjoyed learning new styles of writing poetry. I am a teacher at a middle school in Anadarko,Okla. I have introduced many of my students to the soup. I want to thank everyone who has supported them with kind words and suggestions. This has sparked a fire in them to continue writing. &nbsp;Please continue to be patient with them as they explore writing.</P> <P>&nbsp;</P> <P>&nbsp;</P>

I'm fortunate enough to work across the hall from Abe, and I can tell you, he is the Man, the Myth, the Legend! Seriously, his love for people and his love for his work are legendary. He inspires his students and his peers on a daily basis, and he introduced me to the soup recently. Your Art is a gift that you are sharing and using wisely, and I am proud to be your friend. Mike

So good to meet you Abe, and what a fine family you have! I have so admired your poetry , and now it is nice to have a face to go along with your name. You sound like you would have so much in common with my two sons who are also teachers..one teaches middle school, the other high school...(have a daughter too...oh oh...not a teacher...but she also loves poetry, art)...anyway, I know the life of a teacher and the love of kids is a big requirement to be good at your job! Hi there Abe. What a beautiful family you have. I think it is wonderful you have shared this site with your students. Nothing like getting feedback and encouragement when you are at a young age. The site used to have a tiny icon to indicate young poets, also a young poets page, but I don't see either anymore. Wish I knew who they were. All the best. Love, Shar

I think that it is a wonderful thing that you are introducing your students to the Soup. I myself have never had formal training of any kind in writing, painting, or drawing but love all three and explore them with a passion that comes from deep within me. I am excited to know that I will not be learning alone. I would be honored to have your students read my work, tell them they can drop by anytime and leave their name on my inbox so I will know who they are and I can read theirs as well. It is a thankless job sometimes being a teacher and you must truly have a heart of love and patience. All too often I feel that teachers are not given the credit they truly deserve for the work that they do. Thank you for shaping the future of these young lives. This is an awesome blog!
