First of all this made me smile. I was driving on a little country road for my job and looked in a meadow at the sun hitting the tassels on the tops of corn stalks. I thought they looked so stately, straight, stong and proud. I know its silly but this remindd me of it. Secondly you are so dear. My life is crazy busy right now but I think about the soup alot. I hope to be back when I get some organization in my schedule. One small note touched my heart deeply Abe,what a gift it was. Thanks friend

Amazing poem....it makes one feel rather sad that harvest is near an end....the seasons come and go too quickly! (answering your kind comment and question....fortunately no wild fires in our area, it seems So Calif has been plagued this year. We are way up north. Of course, we aren't done with fire season, so we hope nothing happens to flare things up. Where our cabin is, (5,000 ft elev.) so far it has been safe, but everyone takes precautions. It could happen anywhere in California.
