Premium Member Lennon and Napalm

The Beatles split up so mystically -pronto
the Vietnam spine came back together
some branded the blame into Yoko
some tied a wreath of thorns on the reds.

Imagine time moving queerly along-
Lennon was so very seductively shot
rice paddies are still pocked with craters
where peasants' cast ancient nets into ponds.

The Beatles will never peace back together.
Vietnam will never again be war torn apart
Some are still putting flame onto Yoko
some are still napalming those with red hearts....

Aren't we still wishing to appease mother Saigon...
Aren't we still casting nets, to recapture Dear John?

City Life

Talking to people
Circles of fear
Straight lines and queers
The conscious mirror drops narrator's tears
Never forgetting the bird with transparent wings
Zombies walking in and out of their mouths
Left me standing
No bottom
No escaping a loss soul bottom soul top
They love the way you make things worse so greater is great
So the better is undeniably good
Spinning their talk
Deafening me with Yoko cranked
Taken a stand
On the ceiling
A copy cat killer
A perfect dance
The normal down side of a meow romance
The absent prodigal
Speaking from the crypt
We won't be back home
Talk is about them
Famous bullock pills
Who runs the show
Is it crow
King of confusion
A city without a home
The paint loving train
Not difficult to hear the choo
Too crazy to salute

Car 54, where are you?
Is a horse still a horse, of course?
Who today considers Denace a 'menace?'
Do you yet play 'The Glad Game,' Pollyanna?

Kryptonite get you in the end, Superman?
Mayberry more like Peyton Place? ~ Such a disgrace!
Does anyone ever listen to those 'Talks on Ted?' *
'Mr. Putin, so 19th-century,' Bill Clinton and John Kerry actually said...

Not everyone gave John and Yoko, nude in a
department store window, sitting in a bubble-
         bath, back in 1968 a glance ~

'Cos 'NOW' is never the time
to just 'GIVE PEACE A CHANCE!'

They're coming to take us away
Ha, ha, ho, ho, tee, hee
The Woke Ones; ha, ha, hee, hee
They're coming for you and me

Fluid sexual preferences, ho, ho
Today I'm straight; tonight, a homo
My gender I change like underwear, ha, ha
I can be Yoko Ono or Yo Yo Ma

LGBTQ is the way to be, tee hee
No more being heterosexual, you see
'Cos that would make you reactionary
a fate worse than being white, hee, hee

And as for race, you're in first place
if you're a minority -- though only black
or brown, so you'd better frown if
you're Korean or Chinese, tee, hee

Oh, they're coming to take us away
Ha, ha, ho, ho, hee, hee
The Woke Ones are coming for you and me

Above Us Only 80 Shades of Sky

Imagine

Above us only Sky

Below us waging war

Mother didn't want to know

Craving a woman who would

Reminds me of my father

It's in the eye's and the nose

New York , Hamburger

King of hippy chic

Yoko pepper

Sergeant Liverpool

Solitary poet

Complex confrontational

Tortured inside

Mysterious magical

Grand white piano

Beat Beatle

Bed of peace

All you need is love

Come together

Shoot me
Shoot me

Bullet behind the back

Above us only Sky

Catcher in the rye

John Lennon 80 Years Old

On the 9th of October 1940, a legend was born
He had two children one named Julian and one named Sean
A lady called yoko she was his life
In 1969 she became his wife

In his early life he lived with his aunt
He loved being mischievous and playing the odd prank
He sadly lost his mother and faced life without her
Sometimes things in life are just so unfair

He became part of a band the famous fab four
Every time they sang the audience began to roar
They toured around the world with their many different songs
Bringing excitement to the crowd as they all sing along

Somebody tragically took his life taking him away too soon
Left so many memories he played a good tune
This is in memory of him eighty years on
Please remember him for what he has done

Reading Material

My husband reads biographies
But I’ll take fiction, if you please.
He likes to learn about the past;
His tomes would bore me, really fast.

Yet having finished my last book,
I figured I would take a look
At one of his, a bio on
My second favorite Beatle, John.

It’s written by his former wife
From his pre-Yoko English life
With photos of their early years –
Quite happy, or so it appears.

I haven’t gotten far enough
To read about the juicy stuff
Though there are hints that when John left,
His wife and son were both bereft.

Of all my husband’s books there are
This is the fluffiest, by far.
Of course, that is the reason why
I’d thought I’d give it just one try.

So far so good, but when I’m done,
Re-reading time will have begun.
From novels I’ve read long ago,
I’ll dive in for a second show.

A Lie About a Lie

A lie about a lie

A lie about a lie…
I will never have enough time, to read between the lines.
Good news everybody! We are all out of time!
Say goodbye to your life and kiss your lovers goodbye.

Drowning in lies when you can’t help living;
The truth has caught up with you and the end is coming.
Don’t believe the truth, but continue sinning,
Because what cause can cause you to believe in anything?

She is so perfect, in my eyes;
She is so honest, she wouldn’t lie.
She is deceiving you, here comes your surprise!
Your love is one of many; her love is a lie.

John and Yoko sitting in bed made me think,
Of peace, love and empathy and then it was dead.
You and I walking in different directions made me sink;
The truth has been exposed and now I cannot escape from this head.

You're not what I had in mind; well not this time.
My hope for all that you could have been? It has surely died.
In every one of your many lies, you took another piece of my pride;
In every word you spoke under a hand,
You stole away the last pieces of my broken mind.

Oh No Yoko Ono

Yoko heard the gun go
Off in his hands
Yoko saw the life flow
Out of her man

Yoko heard the sad moan
All across the land
Yoko is alone
To never understand

Yoko must cope
In this devil's dance
Yoko with us lost hope
With give peace a chance

Yoko had to let go
Of her man John
While Yoko held on
To their son Shawn

Yoko played the scapegoat
All these many years
Yoko Ono
Cries real tears

As Yoko watched the world go
From love to hate
Yoko misses John so
Eight days a week

Max is mad at Molly
Samantha’s sore at Seth
Freida’s freaking out at Frodo
While Hobbits hold their breath

Jack jokes about poor Jill
She hits him with her pail
Humpty cracks open Dumpty
For drinking all his ale

Mickey Mouse and Minnie
They both make quite a scene
Playful Pluto gave her paw
and stroked her jumping bean

Rub is furious with Dub Dub
She has another man in his tub
His bubble has been bursted
So he scrubs Dub with a club

Cats in cradles cows and moons
Forks running away with spoons
Coyote catches the Road Runner
In the end we’re all Looney Tunes

Nothing makes us happy
Sticks and stones me oh my
Kryptonic grade destruction
Broken Superman can’t fly

The Beatles Battled Yoko Ono
Because she broke up the band
They sang ‘Give Peace a Chance”
a dream they didn’t understand

So I walk down to the River
John the Baptist please begin
Separate me from human nature
Cause I’m tired of our sin

There Is Something About Lucy

I so often wonder why
Lucy was up there in the sky
Sporting bright her diamonds
Instead of wings to fly

And how on a boat she would float
Past tangerine trees
There is something about this Lucy
That keeps eluding me

She was clearly here for adventure
And the taste of marshmallow pies
But I can't help but wonder
About those kaleidoscope eyes

And when in the newspaper taxis
That appeared on the shore
Did she get a chance to read about
The news today, oh boy

As she turned around looking into the sun
Did she have her Lennon glasses on
These are just some of the things
That have me wondering

Inside of my cellophane mind
Why was Lucy up there in the sky
Sporting bright her diamonds
Instead of wings to fly

I hope Yoko doesn't sue me over this one....

Nightime Revelations

After a day of mixed hopes and disappointments
I lay down upon my old mattress
and watch
the television station where thy play new age music
    and offer poignant quotes
      sometimes they have Zen koans
Tonight I saw words
     from Allan Watts
         and Yoko Ono
there is nothing wrong with being a New Age person
   Beautiful images on this channel
I just viewed clouds around a mountainside
Then a quote from Helen Keller - that remarkable woman
I will drift off into a pleasant sleep
as I keep the channel on
Enough of horrific news
   I's find peace and wisdom
here in my home in New York's Lower East Side

Freshwater Mermaids

Fresh water mermaids
Under a big crowned tree near the lake three land mermaids
sat knitting swimsuits, the saw me and sat still as rabbits, I pretended
not to see them but did use the corner of my left eye,
I notice many things that way
Thought of taking a picture but would not like to scare them back into
the lake again, inland mermaids have scaly leg and webbed feet,
not an edifying sight, but they can dress in trousers like Yoko Ono
and having the bearing of exotic artists.

Curiosity got the best of me I sneaked back to take a photo but
a bird whistled a tune they saw me and called me something bad in
a language I never had heard before, it sounded like frogs`
under a rainbow coloured waterfall made of a child`s tears,
besides they could run much fast than me so, I made a rapid retreat
while rabbits gleefully danced in the glade and crows strafed me
with the precision, a Luftwaffe pilot would be proud of.

All the Things You Are

You are the hummer beside me at Carmen
The source of BO on the airplane
A loudmouth divulging the plot at a movie
And the noisy drunk at the concert I saved for all year

You are the Gilligan on my island.

You are the pop quiz in Organic Chem
And the idiot doing 48 in the fast lane
You're the spider I found in my salad
After I'd already eaten half of it

You are the Yoko in my Beatles.

You are the rain on my wedding day
And the fleas on my dog
You are the virus infecting my computer
And the cop writing tickets in the desert at 3 am

You are the Dalek in my TARDIS.

You are neither friend nor lover
Yet you never go away.
It seems my fate you'll follow me
Until my dying day.

Beatlemania (The Fab Four As Lovers)

Once a choir boy, John turned to romance,
Fell for Yoko almost at first glance.
In full public view
In bed with her too -
Showed the world how to “give peace a chance.”

Quiet George played much more than guitar.
Lost his wife to another rock star.
Layla left him because
Of how hung up he was
On the music he made with his sitar!

Ringo acted in “Caveman” and met
His wife Barb (once a Bond girl) on set.
Though the film of this drummer
Was dumber than dumber,
Wise in love, he’s not left his Barb yet!

A heart breaker, Paul left Wife "One"
For Linda, and made her a vegan!
On their farm smoking pot,
They made money (a LOT)!
He’s a genius whose life sure seems fun!
