So God asked me smugly, “How did you
find the life I fashioned one for you?”
“Not very colorful, Sire,” I decried.
“My wife was homely and dull
My kids, mediocre and drab
I slogged, I struggled feeling ever gray.
An uneventful life. Unconditionally normal.
Methinks, you did a gross injustice by me.”
“Oh, shut the … whining,” God boomed.
“Just go back and get a life!”

My love for my dad, this is how this pen goes, I often
speculate often to myself about his whereabouts? My
love for my dad.
Vague memories, and his lack of presence in my childhood
Dad, I'm sure you attempted to do your best. My love for
My dad.
Overwhelmed with questions about the unknown of uneventful circumstances, situations beyond's a innocent
child I plead not guilty, A letter to my dad
I often question myself was I at fault? Why wasn't always
in my life, My love for my dad.
My childhood I was very curious and say to myself
that I could fix my parents situation and play the game
Parent trap that backfired, My love for my dad.
Life has been full of challenges and defeats dad did try.
My love for my dad.
Our recall our last conversation he mentioned to me that the Bible stands for basic, instructions, before leaving, earth. My love for my dad.
Then I received a dreadful phone that my dad has transitioned, that still reminds me until this day. My
love for my dad.

Walking to class with an expectation not allowed for the innocent.
An uneventful day was expected, but never promised.
My intention as pure as could be with the expectation of the same from a weary society.
Graduation within reach keeps my sanity intact for yet another day.
As I walk to the lunchroom I smell a mixture of meat and cordite that suppress my appetite.
Running from the sounds of horror to a false safety shall be my undoing.
Why can't I unhear the screams from my peers that perforate my ears?
Why can't I unsee the hate that introduced my fate?
I've wronged no one to deserve such an end to a story barely began.
If nothing else I pray that the torment of those left behind can give some peace to another of their kind.

His trip took him across many miles
That might have seemed unending -
But he did not notice.
His flight was uneventful
And should have been quite peaceful -
But he did not notice.
The roads traversed green countryside
And might have looked serene -
But he did not notice.
The people gathered close around
And could have made him self-conscious -
But he did not notice.
The words spoken were kind and grateful
And should have been most comforting -
But he did not notice.
He was home again at last,
A true hero and patriot -
To rest forever in eternal stillness.

From way up high looking down on Earth
Living up on some clouds to the west
Is my guardian angel watching over me
Not allowing hard times and unrest
Blessed with good fortune and a happy life
Pretty lucky when I hear people mutter
It hasn't been a popular trend among most
Yet my life's been smooth as butter
Makes me smile and I count my lucky stars
For this charmed and trouble free life
Relative calm and good fortune's been mine
Uneventful and free from strife
Must've done something to deserve this life
Once was kind to a little old lady
Helped her across a real busy intersection
It was just for a matter of safety
Humbly I accept this great honour with pride
Sure don't want to rock the boat
One day think I'll just sail off into the sunset
And be remembered by what I wrote

Oh! No. I won’t wait until you’re seriously terminally sick
Or to expire in order to send you bouquets of ritzy flowers
Today is indeed the time, the hour to stand above the big brick
To show my love amidst the hubbub of seasoneless showers.
You are profoundly loved, dear colorful and calm princess
You are always on my mind, in my guts, my heart and my soul
You are always on top of the unbiased poll, on my pole
And I love you with an incredible passion since you are the best.
I want to give you a garden jammed full of exotic flowers
And invite gobs of colorful rainbows to dazzle you daily
While exposing my love despite of a series of uneventful hours.
Oh! It’s rewarding, classy and marvelous to celebrate joyfully
Under the pristine blue sky. It’s our anniversary, let’s enjoy life
To the fullest. Let’s move on, forget the sad past and the vile rife.

Act Three - the nap
Naptime was uneventful. The girls didn’t show up. The dog snores. He drools. The pillowcase is a brownish, water stained, Picasso-esque masterpiece.
Act Four - table for three
Dogs are omnivorous, they will eat anything that hits the floor. The cat is more selective. It will use a single claw to remind him of its likes and dislikes. If it is rare steak the cat will use several claws and a paw to guide his hand from plate to gaping maw. The dog will pretend it is sleeping and drool in anticipation. If he opens a can of tuna he believes that the cat will have an ****** as it claws his leg. The three of them eat a highly protein(aka-meat)-centric diet.

“Let me rant and let me ramble, you’re looking at a lunatic in shambles.”
~' Let me be' by The Mighty Mighty BossTones
Do you ever feel hot, palms sweating?
your hands and feet burning
your heart benumbed
and yet, you feel a chill
running through your body.
When you look back and
see mostly an uneventful life
and see only a foreboding haze ahead?
When all the religions and the scriptures
all the philosophical treaties
and all the political maneuvering,
The social and moral proprieties
that you adhered to all your life
now seems to appear nothing but a farce.
All the passions and the obsessions
the ideals and the ambitions of your life
they all come roaring back
like the waves of the sea at high tide
and then quietly recede
leaving behind
a troubled and cynical soul in shambles.

There are still some uneventful days.
Days which are always welcome.
I have tried waiting.
And I have tried chasing.
But either way, I am tired at the end of the day.

Another day marches through September
With its ordinaries, its appointments, its glitches --
Hopefully, it will pass as most uneventful,
Not seared in our brain by some tragedy
I’ll settle for a flaccid day of mundanity,
A “live and let live” cliché kind of every day
With a mere sprinkling of raw spontaneity
Slipping into a quiet evening of tranquility.

Life is uneventful
In my house
Very quiet without my spouse,
Indeed, I’d be so happy to have her back
Never knew how much I’d miss her
Giving she’s been gone three years now.
All I can tell you is,
Love them with all your heart
Openly and freely while you can
Now that she’s gone I wish I had done more
Each day that passes, I love her more.

There is nothing quite like a Sunday afternoon
Peaceful and uneventful with plenty of room
For pleasant conversation and, perhaps, a nap
Reminiscing and planning for the week ahead
Did I mention an hour or so cuddling in bed?
Especially when the sun is shining invitingly
A stroll through the park can be invigorating
Stopping for an ice cream on the way home
Just relaxing without succumbing to stresses
Indulging in some of life’s finer excesses.

To remember numbers
He had visited a town in Spain famous for a tall church spire
the inside of the church was a cavern of despair and promises not fulfilled.
Now he waited outside for the coach to take him to the airport
it was delayed, so he walked into a bar for a beer.
When he came out, 5 bottles of beer later, the coach had gone
he had to take a taxi to the airport.
A cash machine nearby, but he had forgotten the code,
asked a man behind him for his and was met with a blank stare.
A building, at the edge of the town, he was told it has all the codes of the world on a
ledger chained to a desk.
He asked the clerk for his code giving the clerk his
identification papers and passport were handed the code in a brown envelope.
The taxi to the airport was uneventful, but the ride was of no avail the plane had
lifted off, so he had another beer.

The Call
Written: by Miracle Man

She hadn’t called in the past two years,
an hour & half later I sat near tears.
The football game I desired to see,
the entire first half had escaped me.
Uneventful things I had to hear,
occasionally, my throat I’d clear.
She had so much catching up to do,
A ringing doorbell, became my queue.
She started my day off with a bang,
she didn’t know ‘twas just I who rang.
