Twofold Poems

Premium MemberThe Weight of Strings

I walk dangling, a puppet in a shadow-play,
Dragging along old strings I can't unravel.
Tied to the scars and promises I've made,
Along the way to get here as, I am.
The strings on limbs, twitch my intentions,
Wrenching my will to veer their way — not mine.

My heart aches, knowing who's pulling the strings,
But there is too much at stake to sever them.
How can I choose, when I’m snared this way,
Bridled, and bound to strings I can't reject.
I'm a puppet twofold - I can't cut the strings.

Some knots held tight through joy and pain,
Others snapped, then retied themselves again.
I am swayed by the grief required to end this thing
Locked and bound underneath the weight of strings.

Premium MemberIN THE SPRING OF CONFUSION: A TANKA DUO

Tree-branched bird staring,

Looking me right in the eyes;

We both confused:

Humsn and natural nature,

Inhibiting springing peace:-

Wars' twofold nature:

Destructive storms and bombings;

Both dooming in spring:-

God's spring cleaning is coming;

Let us get to sowing peace:-

Wild daydreams
have faded into mainstreams;
Pretty please someone pinch me
free.

Flames twofold
a piece of art to behold;
Human nature lead me home,
roam!

Strong rainbows,
they cannot fail to compose!
Maybe if I sleep they’ll build
willed.

Smiles rising
with the Sun at dawn shining;
I blink into a new chance,
dance!

I'M Sorry

The earthly pain you endured
Grew twofold every day
My pleas to God for mercy
Were seemingly unheard

When you fretted over nothing
I knew it wasn’t you
My inner voice kept telling me
“There’s nothing you can do”

Beseeching me with haunting eyes
Open yet not seeing
Where did you go those many times
When your perception was fleeting

Oh, if I could have brushed your brow
Restored your mind alert
Cut your body’s stinging chains
Releasing you from hurt

I let you down and bear the shame
Fear turned my head away
When I should have done much more
I leave myself to blame

Your memory is stained
By the cowardice I showed
You needed me to help you
But my selfish heart was pained

Pray hear me now dear Mother
If you’re looking over me
I never meant to snub you
It just broke my heart to see

Your slowly fading essence
Struggling through the pain
The journey taken unto God
And leave this mortal plane

Echoes of a Mirage

Little splashing waves at the warm sea scented beach,
reflected moonlight large and low to seeming reach.
We were young, in love and trusted that destiny,
hearts so full of dreams and ideal ecstasy.
Acknowledged decisions within that star dusted frame,
embraced holdings that souls recognized as same.
Gentle winds as cloak of prophecies,
celestial glistening statements has no fallacies.
The instinct within that reach of loves purpose,
conceived fires in articulated hearts as furnace.
Deep in the soul searched visible silence,
twofold visions in one dream sphere reliance.
Little did we knew then in that close hour,
those pastures with silver edges are ours to devour.
From some fixed place of heaven waiting for years,
time like a pulse set the tone in that spheres.
Memories that still stand after all like a shrine,
rainbow bridges to cross at times are the sign.
Remember me beyond the silent land,
when you are not holding me by the hand.
Coming back to this place of warm quenching sand,
and shared vestige thoughts where our command.
O memories from anchored love of finished years,
nights of light satin and echoes of salty tears.

Premium MemberChristmas Eve

Christmas Eve, a wonderous night.
Made of miracles and magic for all.
A star was seen, beautiful and bright.
Joyous news of an infant so small.

A miracle this night for all to rejoice.
An angel brought the message to share.
"Good Tidings" said an angelic voice.
The words echoed and floated through the air.

The magic of Christmas is present,
in the innocent heart of a child.
Look into their eyes for a moment.
Carry that look with you for a while.

Children dreaming of what Santa will bring.
Hoping they hadn't been naughty but nice.
Maybe Santa will know of the perfect thing.
In their Dear Santa letter, they mentioned it twice.

To believe in Christmas is twofold.
From Bethlehem to the North Pole.
They are glorious wonders to behold.
They both bring joy, to heart and soul.

Bear No Rancor-- Charlieku

The hope for love,
O my heart--
share it.

The plan for peace,
O my mind--
strive for.

And, happiness
O my soul--
yearn for.

The hate you give,
Oh, comes back
twofold.

For happiness
love and peace,
Let's pray:

The God above
make mankind
hate free.

Old

To be old, does it mean out in the cold because you have greatly slowed and can easily be controlled.

Or becoming enclosed while people try to remold by gaining a foothold.

That's an absolute No. Being old don't mean you can control nor do you scold and treat them like mould.

To be old is to behold, countless stories untold, so they need to be consoled and never try to remold, that's just plane being an Ahole.

Yes the old needs to be bestowed for great wisdom can be fortold and it will come back tenfold.

For The Good Lord composed the old then broke the mould and made them worth their weight in gold.

So when you are with the old, don't scold, don't explode and never try to control or be an Ahole.

Because this will come back twofold when you grow old.

Premium MemberEos - Call of the Dawn

On the seventh ray
Of the fourteenth sun
Death hath come twofold
Arose a Titan in this age
Amidst this nimbus looms darkness
Betwixt the ash and sage

Approach cyclical ritual
Dousing wings in feral flames
Latent gravidity does surmise
For upon my resurrection
Eos I shall rise

Premium MemberIf Leaves Could Talk, Part 2

Our purpose in spring, summer, and fall,
you will recall, is essentially twofold.
After a long and restful sleep in winter, we return from ashes to beauty in spring.

With earth tones of green, we shelter you
from heat waves of the sun in the summer.
We glow in awesome colors of orange in autumn.

You will remember our shades of green, but we must go now.
Please accept our showers of ‘bright colors’; it’s our goodbye kiss.
Our season ends with a shout for your eyes only! But we cannot stay.

The Rise and Fall

This is a story-
An unfinished story of a girl unsaid
A girl who was very well read,
but didn't always have her own bed.

A breaking of union when she was too young;
A coming together with a new dad and son.
Her family had grown twofold-
Oh how she was loved

But times fell hard
And she fell with a start;
when she was living in a little house
With no space apart

Cramped and compact,
she did not complain
Because it was not all that bad, you see
When your surrounded by the love of your family

Too many people
A too small space
This little girl needed her space
And she was not the only one

Petty arguments and
Silly squabbles
Too close together and
Too far apart

So the little girl and her family moved
To their own house
A olaace with wide halls
And big walls

But the rest of her family followed
As she knew they would
But she was OK
Because she finally understand

They were dysfunctional;
they were strange;
they had no concept of a time range.

But family is family wherever you are
No matter how near, no matter how far

Because

Because the world was young
Because I walked the sun
I am too run

You turned on a
I went overboard
She had a gently persuasive
And I knew

Because the world is round
It turns on
Because she every time
Just like the

Because twofold
He five carrefour
He turns on
She listens
All the time.
