A SHORT VISUAL-AUDITORICAL THOUGHT

Canvassing liberation screaming;
Yet, it is yet to be in realization:-

Pity the eyes that can, but do not see;
Pity the ears that can, but do not hear:-

Pity the wombs of minds birthing negative fraternal twins:
Namely, apathy, and its fraternal twin, unawareness:-

Premium Member Though Never Will I Be Michelangelo

This night, unhappiness devours my soul,
as I mourn opportunities now long lost,
and ache for a time when my joy felt whole,
before darkness consumed my life with cost.

How I pant for the gift of brilliant art
and painting (if only to be alive
once more to depict and draw from the heart
a scene where rivers, trees, and birds could thrive)!

Though art perished in me so, so long ago,
I still possess rare gifts of rhyme and poesy.
Though never will I be Michelangelo,
in Parnassus, life can still be rosy.

If art be higher, then I despised my rhyme,
but my Muse's good grace forgives my crime.

Premium Member Though It's Clear You're No Longer Here, I Know You Won't Yet Disappear

It just was not at all (to my inner child) fair.
You allowed them all to be with you there,
'Cause when it came to me, they don't care.
Now I no longer want to leave my soul bare.

I know all loved you, but my love's deeper.
I just never feel like I ever truly matter,
Why I never tried harder to be any better
Than who I used to be as a teenager.

Fate is cruel with this timing, but also kind,
I'm just glad I ever at all was on your mind.
I knew I would never see you again alive,
But I have your will for me to learn to thrive.

I miss playing word games with you.
I hope your soul is at least missing me too.
My love says my tears may keep you "here,"
But I know you'll bless me with mind so clear.

Premium Member Though I'm Underage

      The thrill in her touch
      fingertip-guarantee

         flash of
         electricity

      The promise of a kiss
      drives casanovas mad

         Though I’m underage
         tonight, I'm glad

Premium Member How right, though wrong,'

About four years ago..I was lost temporarily in a town..Disoriented i
Stopped to ask a stout woman directions, I recieved
A mouthfull of abuse, now only the day before I had been used mightliy by the Lord.' I instantly reflected 'on her plight?'
God would no doubt vist something upon
Her..I knew it.' Quickly I called her a (fat pig!) In an effort to take some blame also
Although I know God knows all our thoughts..I decided to try and protect her.'
May the Lord have mercy.' Humanity is full
Of flaws.'

I guess I'm sorry though

It's been a year now
And I'm still hooked up
With the one who'll never know
But let's cross this small ramp

Truth be told
I never liked you
Others might say I'm quite cold
But I was trying something new

I guess I'm sorry though
As you where there so I called you a distraction
Pull me out of the dark but I was still in the blue
A heart once broken beyond compare
While you where there to pick up and care

I guess I'm sorry though
Yes,I used you as my muse
But my heart never fell in your hands
I took you as my happiness, a new beginning , the one I could use
Thought it was better to flee from the land

I guess I'm sorry though
For going with the flow
Letting my imagination run wild
My mind be filled with lies even though I knew the truth
I couldn't help it though
As the thought of being in your hands made me feel mild
Hiding the sadness of my life I pretended to be blind
Not by love , but by what you offered

Something I cannot explain
I guess I'm sorry though
But I want you to know
Yes, I like you just not enough to love you

Though I know it'd be a lie

Why aren't you here?
You said you'd be there during my hardest times

You should be here now
Comforting me
Pretending that you love me at least

Why'd you lie?
You said you would never make me cry again

My nights have been sleepless
With only thoughts and tears of what we could've been
Convince me that it was a misunderstanding

Why'd you leave?
You said you'd stay for me no matter what

You left me with a rose
That shed its petals the second you broke us
But the thorns still awaiting

And I'm still waiting for you to return

Don't repeat those words you said to me when you moved on
Say you love me just one more time
I know it'd be a lie

Smile Though The World Is Aching

Many times, I been wounded in life
But you have never seen me sad
I'll always cover it up with a smile
Many people ask me if I don't get hurt
I said it's hurt, but why stay sad
I can break my heart if I will
But in the world where values so strong
I take permission not to be persuaded
Let us be weak for not too long
I need to be good not to spoil the world.

Premium Member Though we're apart

your name whispered
beneath my breath
to the moon above
i hear your voice
i feel your heartbeat
as if it's next to mine
you're on my mind
always every moment
day and night

Premium Member The Owl, Though Some Think It Is Wise

The owl, though some think it is wise,
Finds mice far more tasty than pies.
In matters of taste
Its judgment erased,
Its fees are too high, I surmise.

Premium Member Though the Sun Be Hot

     The weather is turning
       the brown grass is not

     No sign of flowers
       though the sun be hot
Buds on twigs’ ends are not

How long can my aching heart
       endure ~

     Winter is no cure
       for what I’ve got

Even Though You're Right

I thought that you were different
I never thought you would
But then you went and did it
I see now that you could
We both were always struggling
Trying to be good
And always we were juggling
What we want with what we should

I thought we'd walk together
We'd see each other home
But then you up and left me
Walking all alone
And after all we'd been through
When all was said and done
I went one day to find you
I looked but you were gone

Premium Member I like you even though

I like you the five-year-old said
Even if you have a long hair growing out of your chin
I laughed, thinking this was a joke
Until I looked in the mirror
Who knew old women grow long chin hair?
Now I do.
Thanks to an astute five-year-old girl

As Though My Darkness Wouldn't Consume

My Particles are arrested,
Solitary, confined, and all together
Quit invested
In hope.
My childlike wonder ran ablaze
With firey sparks and
My mind was in a daze.
There are such precious moments sprinkled, like gitter,
among the trauma and scars that
Give credence to something beautuful. See,
I ain't bitter.
I was a moth among fireflies, dancing in flame,
No danger at all, just a wild spirit to tame.
Just drawn to lights
As though my darkness wouldn't consume.
