Though I know it'd be a lie

Why aren't you here?
You said you'd be there during my hardest times

You should be here now
Comforting me
Pretending that you love me at least

Why'd you lie?
You said you would never make me cry again

My nights have been sleepless
With only thoughts and tears of what we could've been
Convince me that it was a misunderstanding

Why'd you leave?
You said you'd stay for me no matter what

You left me with a rose
That shed its petals the second you broke us
But the thorns still awaiting

And I'm still waiting for you to return

Don't repeat those words you said to me when you moved on
Say you love me just one more time
I know it'd be a lie
