For soldiers who died in the service of
my nation, there was made a holiday -
a time to show them remembrance and love
strewing flowers on graves beneath which lay
corpses gone to bone but not forgotten.
It started after a most horrid war -
honoring the souls of those who’d gotten
killed in the Civil War, and then came more:
World Wars 1 and 2 and even others.
On May’s last Monday we must not forget
those who fought for freedom for their brothers -
for all of us! They faced the greatest threat:
the loss of precious life – their very own.
Be thankful you don’t lie beneath their stone.

Sundrops dapple umbrageous trees
strewing uncut diamonds, littering the path
with ambient flickers of what lies beyond.
Sundrops freckle ocean's surface
accenting the ripples that pattern the waves,
nuzzling playful kisses toward the warm beach.
Sundrops seduce the wayward wind
pirouetting with the aphids blissful dance,
a frenzied tarantella across my lips.

I must admit I like pigeons cooing,
while seeds for them I am strewing;
I adore their pretty feather hues,
the shades of green, purple and blues;
I love how they bob their heads and walk;
and how on my window they knock !

I'd like for us to spend the night together,
Within the dark fabric of the sky where stars are sparse,
To deeply inhale the mystery of a world concealed,
And to fly voiceless into a dream that never fades.
Let's wrap ourselves within the moon's dimmed carousel,
To decrypt the secret carried by the night's breeze,
Strewing kisses on your skin like autumn's fallen leaves,
That find their resting nest in the blaze of your existence.
May my hand slip over your moonlit shadow,
Till darkness drinks the dawn's first nectar blush,
Feeling my footsteps in your pulse, a silent fray,
And over all that's worldly, may we remain the lone petal.
Gliding through the silver seas that envelop us,
Carrying ourselves with ethereal grace on waves of light,
To join together in the echo of the night, gazing with awe,
Like two spirits known and entwined in dance's embrace.
Let's grasp that our love is an unbroken verse,
A living ode on silent notes, swathed in sightless days,
When the world's cool gaze meets us with indifferent stares,
And our embrace captures sparkle in the pallor of the sky.

Tarred by the same brush
In the ongoing slaughter of Palestinian children
one misses a voice from Israel, so far, it is silent
The expectation is for Jews witnessing this horror
falling back to the old mantra, if asked, says Israel
right to defend herself.
At the cost of seven thousand dead Palestinian children!
Then we get what Hamas did, yes it was bad
but was the bombing of Gaza and the murder of
2O.000 and more a plaster on the wound
And they blame it on Hamas if they stop resisting
we will stop bombing civilians get killed because the dastardly Hamas hides among the people
How is it possible to hide in a congested place like
the Gaza Strip.
What I suspect is that the Jews of Israel don't care what happened to the Palestinians, demanding a lull in the fighting to rescue the hostages, show not an ounce of sympathy for
the children killed by their sons!
Yes, the young men of Israel who, with abandonment, are strewing death on innocent people
Once again, I must conclude the people of Israel are Zionists and guilty, and like the German people found guilty of knowing about the Holocaust.

WHISPERING PRAISES WITHOUT A TONGUE
how can I praise Him
without a tongue whispering
beneath my chin my voice box
opens resurgent’s
strewing out atrocities
whisperings without a tongue?

pristine awareness
a vaporised bliss mist
offers desire no niche
onto which it may anchor
thereby becoming still
in the void of no-thingness
the distillation process
yet continues relentlessly
lest later soul complain
that earth life had faltered
in strewing rose petals
without accompanying thorns
neither seeking nor negating
the true living essence of us
celebrates both highs and lows
with a joyful, twinkling eye
whereupon the learning is done
within this dualistic earth realm

Jesus did teach us to turn the other cheek,
But never suggested we ought to be weak
In those instances of obvious wrongdoing
He sent the moneychangers gelt strewing,
And he called out the miserable hypocrite
In the strongest of language, as he saw fit.
Keeping the peace is good, I certainly agree,
But not at the expense of a bully’s spree,
Who goes about inflicting pain unchecked,
Comes the time when they must be decked.
For bullying indicates feelings of superiority
While it actually cloaks an inner inferiority.
We need to show bullies they’re not “all that,”
Sometimes it calls for knocking off their hat.
Letting them know we will be calling their bluff
When we are fed up with their hateful stuff,
Not allowing them to feign self-righteousness
As they hurtfully nose into another’s business.
It is always preferable to be meek and mild
But not when an adult acts like a spoiled child
Taking pleasure in causing others’ distresses
Probably struggling with their own sad messes
And acting like their way is the only way
While refusing to allow their victims a say!

Mid-day darkness crept across the browning meadow
Autumn sought a place to practice her ritual perfidy,
Menacing as an evil spirit she hovered like a shadow
Transformed the green, plucked blooms ruthlessly.
Strewing the lush foliage laid barren along the path
As though a windstorm had tossed it with no regard
Spoiling the last of summer’s blooms in the aftermath,
Leaving the landscape ‘til spring battered and scarred.
I scanned the field from the fencerow by the avenue
Which separates the sanctuary from my backyard,
Already dreaming of a time when all will begin anew
But first I know the place will see winter cold and hard.
Nature’s way, of course, I’ve witnessed many seasons
Times to blossom in profusion; other times to perish,
Cycles of seasonal changes, who can know the reasons.

Green hills are all abloom, in living color,
For a rich, prismatic sun is going places!
Azure skies glow, with clouds of powder,
Until a velvet moon comes, in its phases.
For a rich, prismatic sun is going places,
Strewing smoky, ruby hues everywhere,
Until a velvet moon comes, in its phases,
At twilight, with the diamonds in her hair!
Strewing smoky, ruby hues everywhere,
Sun aids life on land, in air, and the sea.
At twilight, with the diamonds in her hair,
A creamy moon then glimmers so calmly.
Sun aids life on land, in air, and the sea,
Azure skies glow, with clouds of powder,
A creamy moon then glimmers so calmly,
Green hills are all abloom, in living color!

Hide me
because Love, you believe, is hideous
because temptations feed your cravings
and scrolling sinners seek solo.
Feign a facade,
fix a fantasy,
build bull
and call it your life.
The devil rejoices on broken bonds
making merry of many mourns -
the mockery you mold over matrimony.
Hide me,
And unheed me.
Hide me, then ease the sting
by strewing petals plucked
from the flowers of farce, forced feelings.
It's ok to hide me
because the hole metamorphs
into the comfort of oblivious
and the last time a hide,
when the heart hardens,
and you get to seek me,
I won't let you find me.

Think for a dad-bloomin' minute, if you will,
About a world totally free of our trash
There would no longer be need for a landfill.
This earth, I say, could replenish in a flash
If we all were not so blasted arrogant,
Wasteful and silly with our almighty cash.
Entitlement makes selfishly confident
Strewing literally tons of litter out--
We must not be so thoughtless and ignorant.
The oceans will send up a glorious shout
All the creatures will be happier and bright
The world will be much cleaner without a doubt.
And, the earth will soon be a beautiful sight
Without our dirty stinking garbage to fight.

Adrift sleeping deeply dreaming
flowing hair is softly gleaming
endless so that joy is seeming
over our skin lightning teeming.
Sacred temple where we sow
wonder worship want to know
longings urgent ebb and flow
amorous this love shall grow.
Strewing starlit divine dust
atoms far in space we thrust
clinging tightly stay we must
in this cosmos fueled by lust.
Fervor pining burning rising
wanton carnal longing flying
loving rising falling sighing
night for living not for dying.

Ever these gifts from Eos of dawn,
Her mornings gently purling with ray’s early luster
To herald new sunrise, a jasper flare--
Robed in ornate chiffon waltzing quietly
On marbled hills, on awakened floral glide:
How fragrance explodes into creamy nectar
Luscious as her avian flock and bahiagrass,
With dainty hands strewing mist upon trees
Through chants of daybreak's invocation,
Granting all with tokens from maiden prayers…
And we offer beads of gratitude and homage
For newborn dreams yet to be fulfilled,
Till she renders vestal light to the wild of noon.
