Canadian captures extraordinary beauty of ordinary pigeons in award-winning photo | CBC Radio

I must admit I like pigeons cooing, while seeds for them I am strewing; I adore their pretty feather hues, the shades of green, purple and blues; I love how they bob their heads and walk; and how on my window they knock !

simply a delightful read, Constance! I often watch pigeons from my office window...I find the way they bob their heads and walk somewhat entertaining. They spook pretty easily when even smaller birds get near. In the winter time, hubby places bird seed at the bottom of our driveway. I look out every morning and witness one rabbit crouched over the seed and two pigeons next to it enjoying their breakfast. I suppose the three of them have become great mates. Just fun. Enjoyed your poem. Sara

Sara, thank you so much for the compliment and for sharing, I have tons around my old apartment building, they come to hang out on my balcony and I scatter some seeds for them, and watch from the window as they bob their heads and sweetly strut and coo. Some call them pests but to me they are a gift from God, blessings, Constance
