Simplicity

Oh, the things we give of ourselves, as each day we live,
not much left of us, each day for us to give.
The heart aches and the betrayals, that we face,
makes it hard to walk therefore in His Grace.
To feel loved and needed, and appreciated you see,
all these things, are desired by you and me.
We struggle and fight, just to make it through our day,
all the things, that gets throwed our way.
Stumbling blocks, stepping stones, it’s the way we see,
our perceptions, are as different, as they can be.
We are equal, yet we are not the same,
this world of difference, leaves everyone to blame.
So be careful, what you put yourself into, you see,
something’s are not mean’t for you and me.
For if they bring you trouble, you find it at your door,
those thing’s we don’t need, has a whole lot more.
Complication, no dedication, frustration to the heart,
we might not want these things, as we give them part.
Confusion, dis-array, all jumbled in the box,
that’s where we are out-smarted, by the fox.
Keep it simple, simplicity at its best,
a place where you can truly, find your peace of rest.

I admit I broke all the rules,
This fool considered them jewels.
I care not about cost and fees:
Each a burden of stormy breeze.

God loves the sinner, not the sin.
Each sin he would throw in the bin.
Repent, all souls have all My keys
I will you not in hell doth freeze.

Know God heals the broken-hearted,
My cold heart ought to be smarted.
Whereas through life, each sin He sees.
Will you forgive and my faults ease?

Down I go to pray on my knees.
O Lord, be compassionate, please.

Sunday Afternoon

Saturday afternoon

The wind blew hard this afternoon in Cascais
whirls of dry soil, the dust, smarted eyes
Not much fun walking around doing nothing
looking into shop windows of expensive dresses
A barber shop was still open, and a barber with
scissors in his hand looked haughty, challenging
me to enter, oh, no, my man, my wife cuts my hair
I hate having a haircut, a few strands of hair left
on my scalp, may not grow back.
Horses turn their back to the wind, and I had to
face the blast going home.
I sat on the terrace, looking at the sea that
was greenish today; I don’t look at the ocean
often having seen the sea until tedium
while waiting for the potatoes to boil.
But I do remember the Caribbean Sea, with
a dulcet smile.

Premium Member Seeing the Biggest Earth Chasm

Want to go see the biggest chasm an earthquake ever made?
I thought about it for a few seconds; it was my buddy Wade.
Okay, I agreed. But where is this chasm so incredibly deep?
He told me it was only two hours, and he would let me sleep.

We jumped in the car with chips, pretzels, and beer.
We are not going to drink it all, I yelled to Mommy dear.
She rolled her eyes and gave us “boys” a little wave.
I threw in some extra bottles from my down under man cave.

We laughed and talked and smarted off, being macho men.
We can act crazy like when were kids every now and then.
We waited until it was day light to venture to the chasm’s edge.
My pal pretended he was going to push me over the incredible ledge.

The chasm was frightening; I could not believe how far down it went.
Some people had set up a campfire, pitching their flimsy little tent.
Shall we stay another day? I asked my pal, who was no longer talking.
I guess he had slid into the chasm, so I began loudly squawking.

The Journey of Crackers

Twelve Voyagers in transit,
In the highways of Lokoja enroute Abuja,
One man wanted the natural breeze,
Another man wanted a treat to the ACs,
The others absolutely wanted nothing.
The first man got up, and
Slid the windows open,
After a minute calm,
The other man got up, and
Slid the windows shut,
The former got up, sterned, and
Engaged the the latter in a duel.
The third man sprang from
The crowd of others with his want,
To each of the others, he said,
Here, have some cabbages,
I pray you in earnest,
Like whatever be my want,
He smarted, and hollered,
I want the windows shut, and
The ACs off, however,
We shall tell to the will of the Masses,
Who are the men on my side?
Turn off the ACs, and shut the windows,
The others chanted with glee.

3 Dogs Fate

3 Dog's Fate
The dog hid in a doorway
But was spotted by the chef
Come on now boy
I won't hurt you
Such were the chef's evil lies
He would catch the dog
Finish the act and have his meal
The dog has out smarted him once
There would be no second time
Look there he is!
Come here boy it's ok
We won't hurt you
We just want to eat you
The dog saw his enemy
And bolted for freedom
Would he live or die?
If he escaped what of his injuries?
He'd been half cooked alive
The chef kept calling
And looking for him
Will he live or die?
He was one of many
Poor little doggy

Owned By Angst

I sweat when I’m nervous,
Its my trait,
Not by choice,
Anxious,
My fate.

When I’m first to show,
Last or out smarted,
Just the thought of being anxious,
Means that it’s started

Sweats come,
Mouth drys,
Run away,
Want to cry,

Mop my brow,
How,
No tissue,
Big issue,
Some one speaks so I have to react,
Retract,
Will they see me sweat,
Think I’m weird,
It’s everything I’ve ever feared.

Deep breaths,
Need to stop muttering,
Eyes wide,
Don’t start stuttering,
Sweaty pits,
Can you see,
Please no,
Why me,

Wrong colour shirt,
Feel hurt.
Make an excuse,
Need to leave,
Reprieve,
Could say somethings happened,
Terribly bad,
Play the part,
Look sad.

Say I’m unwell,
They’ll think I’m mad,
They don’t know me,
My bad,
My life
My struggle
Too many feelings to juggle.

Moan,
Feel so alone - in this crowd
Why am I here,
Fear
Maybe it’s too soon
Too loud.

Deep breath - stay calm,
Happy thoughts,
Sweaty palms,
Run away,
I must not,
...............
I’m only at the bus stop.

My name is Spenser
No dog is denser
I'm not well smarted
But I'm big hearted
If you was hurted
I'd be alerted
And I'll come racing
To lick your facing.

Premium Member When I Was Young

When I was young, I was so very sweet.
I never tattle-taled or smarted off.
I shared with others when I got a treat,
and at my sisters I would never scoff.

I loved to help my mother, so I did
the many chores she gave me happily.
I was so neat that always I got rid
of junk I knew Mom wouldn't want to see.

I loved to go to church, and Bible school
was something I enjoyed every Sunday.
I saved my money and did not amass
collections, for I gave my things away!

But seriously, I won't lie to you.
Not very much of this is even true!

Premium Member Queen of the Fairies

Ill-tempered Elfin Queen, would bully
and demean everyone she'd see
an unruly brat
nasty tricks thought daily that
when on her throne she sat sadly

She had to force her head in a sack
precaution she must engage to hold back
to gaze in a looking glass
so she could surpass
or the magical mirror would crack

Casting curses became her fame
enticing elf’s was her daily game
maidens that were shrouded
and barren were allowed
in her kingdom was her aim

But to her shocking surprise
all of their bellies begin to rise
the Elfin Queen was livid
she had been smarted
was blinded and they criticize

For she hadn’t for saw that right
when the sun goes down and the lights
go out humans are smart
love comes only from the heart
beauty is only skin deep, that brings sight

She Already Was

She Already Was

She was good looking and so properly dresses
And had confessed how much I was impressed
With such a fine face and figure to go along
All things in right place and nothing was wrong.

Into her property all seemed to positively fit
Take my eyes off of her could not start to quit
Both of them on her had become completely glued
What I saw was beauty in everything I viewed.

Writing pretty poem about here had just started
And soon my fingers were tired and also smarted
My mind, right words was trying to retrieve
God said beware of news you are about to receive.

I stammered and over her had incessantly clamored
Being so in love with her and totally enamored
Then there was a terrible thing that tore me apart
Since a child, she had been someone else's sweetheart.

PS. Wonder what Alice in Wonderland will think of this one?

No One This World , Will Take Ur Place

No one in this world , will take Ur place !!!

Seeing the horizon halfway drowned
As it looks all round
I wish U were around
To see the pain with which M actually crowned

Feeling the gentle breeze
Flowing through the seas
Sizzling rain drizzling away the lees
Always reminds Me of Our blistering memories
The moment I lost Ur touch
Anguish in heart increased such
Life suffered severe drought
Really I never thought
I would miss U so much
Depth of love with in Me still uncharted
As the days pass it gets smarted
Recalling the time We parted
Agonizes the soul, Leaving Me like a broken hearted
Can’t wait for the day
It’s really hard for Me to stay away
Dear,
I swear
Always wants to see
 grace on Ur face
Within My heart,
No one in this world
Will take Ur place

To Kill a Mockingbird

He sits outside my window
The loudest thing I've ever heard
He keeps me awake all night long
I'm gonna kill that mockingbird

He even mimics my wife snoring
He's a mockingbird you see
My wife's half deaf, she can't hear him
Sawing logs up in that tree

When daylight comes he's as quiet as a mouse
And I just can't find his nest
I think that bird thinks he's smarter than me
So I'll put him to the test

I put on my best camouflage
With a flashlight taped to my hat
I crawled on my belly, behind my house
To see where he was at

I stayed outside all night long
And that bird didn't utter a sound
My back was aching and my butt was sore
From sleeping on the cold, cold ground

The very next night I went to bed
And that bird started singing once more
But I think he must have invited some friends
'Cause it was a whole lot louder than before

To make a long story short, I out smarted that bird
And now he's as quiet as a mouse
For now I sleep outside every night
In my bed behind the house

Last Words

On this day, this very moment
Whilst you prepare to bury me,
I speak to you
through the voice of my pen

That when I cease to breathe
When this mortal coil
can no longer hold me in
And my wings once inbound
Now free to launch me home.

Weep not much
For this life is for us
To live and leave forever

I have lived my time,
Out-smarted my foes,
Out-lived my enemies
I have come full circle

To stop this metamorphosis
Is to tell the sun
To stop shining
Thus insulting the Son of Man
For He wept on the
Torture branch.

Who am I to beg for lasting life?
