The Journey of Crackers
Twelve Voyagers in transit,
In the highways of Lokoja enroute Abuja,
One man wanted the natural breeze,
Another man wanted a treat to the ACs,
The others absolutely wanted nothing.
The first man got up, and
Slid the windows open,
After a minute calm,
The other man got up, and
Slid the windows shut,
The former got up, sterned, and
Engaged the the latter in a duel.
The third man sprang from
The crowd of others with his want,
To each of the others, he said,
Here, have some cabbages,
I pray you in earnest,
Like whatever be my want,
He smarted, and hollered,
I want the windows shut, and
The ACs off, however,
We shall tell to the will of the Masses,
Who are the men on my side?
Turn off the ACs, and shut the windows,
The others chanted with glee.
