Trace Me With Your Sighs

Trace me with your sighs,
Love me with your soul,
Seize me with your eyes,

Colour pink my skies,
You, my heart have stole,
Trace me with your sighs,

We have lifelong ties,
I'm yours to control,
Seize me with your eyes,

Give me passion highs,
A kiss, I cajole,
Trace me with your sighs,

My heartbeat implies -
Through life, we will stroll,
Seize me with your eyes,

As one, we comprise
Affection heart-whole,
Trace me with your sighs,
Seize me with your eyes.

Premium Member Trace Me With Your Sighs

In the hush of the night's bliss,
A melodic dance of silver beams streams,
Entwined with a warm embrace
As you trace me with your sighs,
Igniting a tenderly lingering kiss;
Your palms are along my breadth.
With a stolen breath,
A fevered chase exists
As shadows whisper,
Buried in the spinning world.

Your Sighs

Trace me with your sighs
as I rest my rosy cheek
on your bronze shoulder.

Premium Member Bench of Sighs

Iron spine in shadowed quiet,
Waiting for the warmth to stay.
Resting in the frosty moonlight,
Watching snowbanks drift away.
Holds the ghosts of parted lovers,
Tracing lines on weathered wood.
Endless winter never smothers,
Where the tranquil wood has stood.

Lost in the City’s Sighs
His tailored business suit
strolls down silvered sidewalk.
Her swan-like white skirt
cuts a swathe through the grey.
Their paths converge,
then drift apart.
The rain observes them pass by.

Premium Member Summer sighs softly, pausing to watch the golden days slipping away

Summer sighs softly, pausing to watch the golden days slipping away,
When the sun trickles through the gently trembling birch leaves,
Whispering of growth and ripening, the enchantress transforms the fields,
Into gold woven from corn, swaying in the rhythms of bountiful harvests.
White clouds gather, like storms waiting to unleash their song,
She gathers new bluebirds in her warm heart, singing with their harmonies,
As the light fades, like that comma of silence between day and dawn,
She savors this moment before autumn plants its frost upon her cheeks.
A dance of time, a pause between seasons, a dream of the gentle equinox,
Where time seems to stop, and nature weaves its silent story,
The whole world takes a deep breath, captured in the beauty of a fleeting moment,
Summer retreats slowly, making way for autumn to sing its symphony of leaves.

It doesn’t happen everyday
Through perilous weather, flies Santa’s sleigh
Reflecting in the Winter sun
Are its legs, in gunmetal grey

Yet as Christmas Eve turns to Morning
Falling behind red-silk and cotton
Among the frost
One’s mind is lost
And all else is forgotten

The children play with what was brought
Without as much as a second thought
From where these marvellous gifts came
Or in the manner how they were wrought

To gratitude, they must adhere
In the closing of the year
Unaware that these times are austere
And each of their new toys, hold near

While countless harsh weeks lie ahead
A return to school, many will dread
And memories, so bittersweet
Will be recalled instead

They say that what goes up, must come down
Such includes the crib and tree
The wrapping and its debris
Whilst wearing a cap and gown
This cold new year evokes a frown

My Granddaughter’s Words ***

Achoo! Sneeze! I sat up on my knees,
I glare into the darkness, while Claire makes a cup of tea,
Oh please give me some peas, I cried as I sighed,
They took away all of my food and my mood dropped,
They even took away my shoes, but they can’t take away you, but they do!
I screamed in pain, but they think it’s lame,
They took away everything so all was done, but I never gave them my gun!!

Premium Member Sighs in Silent Eyes

Silent eyes
read the sighs
in breaths
between words.

They trace
the quiver that lies,
on still lips.

They hear
echoes that,
were never made up,
or never made it out.

They never forgive,
only condemn,
in so many
invisible ways.

"I want to see thirst In the syllables, touch fire In the sound; feel through the dark. For the scream." ~ Pablo Neruda

I
taste the
pulse of stars
coursing through rhymes,
stirring my moon-swept
soul, as I ache for your
soft blue sparks of poetry,
breathless and lost in the musky
heat of phrases etched beneath champagne
skies, wrapped in threads of chiffon-laced heartbeats.
And I think of you ~ the pearl warmth of dusk,
for in your arms, I felt a wistful
verse, glowing like fervent fireflies
but if love could color the
blush of secret sunsets,
would you be the gold
that binds me to
Romeo’s
silent
sighs?

Premium Member The sighs of Supernova

"Don't get lost in your pain, know that one day your pain will become your cure." ~ Jalaluddin Rumi

The moon wept over withered stars
mirroring the heartbeats of mourning blues,
oblivious to the warmth of dusky truth,
while I bite my lips to suppress the storm,
there, in the soul of the butterfly skyline,
I’ve hand-stitched chronicles of the ache
that dreams like midnight orchids,
             cradling confused crevices~
like stone breeze drifting in coldness,
questioning the need to breathe love,
when all I’ve written is marked as myth~
a manipulative vine of twisted nightshade.

But remember, I’ll be the eucalyptus elixir,
the sighs of supernova, soaring to speak~
metaphors beyond the skin of blue comets, forevermore…
