Notes About The Poem

Poem written for and submitted to “Image Prompt Poetry Contest,” Suzette Richards, sponsor, October 2, 2025.

LOST IN THE CITY'S SIGHS

Lost in the City’s Sighs
His tailored business suit
strolls down silvered sidewalk.
Her swan-like white skirt
cuts a swathe through the grey.
Their paths converge,
then drift apart.
The rain observes them pass by.

Dear Sara, I felt the weight of two lives brushing past, never quite touching, and the world just letting it happen. Beautiful! Autumn Blessings, Dear Sara, Daniel
