Best Sighs Poems
Between the whispers and the sighs
The sweet taste of champagne,
still lingers on her lips
The fragrance of jasmine oil,
slides from her fingertips
I know that I'm ready for,
whatever she has in mind
There's a warmth taking over me,
that's moving deep inside
A mystic instigation,
of skin against skin
In breathless anticipation,
for loving to begin
Outside is the darkness,
of a cold winters night
Inside there's a passion,
burning by firelight
Chorus
Between the whispers and the sighs
I can read between the lines,
I'm following your signs,
Between the whispers and the sighs
I sense our love is right on track,
and there's no going back
Outside snow is falling,
no leaves left on the trees
but inside there's a heat that
brings me to my knees
Trapped inside the vertigo,
as lovers rise and fall
Isn't dizzy desire the answer,
whenever romance calls?
Chorus
Between the whispers and the sighs
I can read between the lines,
I'm following your signs,
Between the whispers and the sighs
I sense our love is right on track,
and there's no going back
There's a solemn silence,
no whispering of words
After love's expression,
only heartbeats are heard
I've never ever, felt this way,
for anyone else before
I hear eternity calling us,
as we open up love's door
Chorus
Between the whispers and the sighs
I can read between the lines,
I'm following your signs,
Between the whispers and the sighs
I sense our love is right on track,
and there's no going back
The sweet taste of champagne...
still...
lingers...
on...
her...
lips.

Visions of a way forward
raising the curtains dream magic
stepping into the spotlight view
captivating under a harvest moon
Rocked in the cradle of thoughts
your the flower sweetly awakening
deeply flames warmly embrace sunshine beams
growing beautiful rose petals tenderly touch deeply
When I trace your heart's echo
kissing this soul softly within dewdrops
weeping starlight tears of a breathless sigh
where the sunbeams dance with brilliance
Golden inside your rays honey
deliciously lights up priceless perfect
holding the breath for a moment love
our time shining purely unique sharing
"I want to see thirst In the syllables, touch fire In the sound; feel through the dark. For the scream." ~ Pablo Neruda
I
taste the
pulse of stars
coursing through rhymes,
stirring my moon-swept
soul, as I ache for your
soft blue sparks of poetry,
breathless and lost in the musky
heat of phrases etched beneath champagne
skies, wrapped in threads of chiffon-laced heartbeats.
And I think of you ~ the pearl warmth of dusk,
for in your arms, I felt a wistful
verse, glowing like fervent fireflies
but if love could color the
blush of secret sunsets,
would you be the gold
that binds me to
Romeo’s
silent
sighs?
Her orchid blooms in petals across the vast expanse
bridging realms from here to there
spilling her wine and soaking the sphere of giving light
with impassioned shades of royal birth
as drowsy constellations daydream
she presents pious plumes of plum pastels
in a gesture of generous grandeur
for cosmic kings and queens
and mere mortal beings
golden eyed
behind heather veils of ethereal ecstasy

"Summer's Lease hath all too short a date" -- William Shakespeare

A buttercup glows in the sun
And in its glow the summer sighs
It won't be long till summer's done
A buttercup glows in the sun
Its web of gold at last is spun
On wings of time a season flies
A buttercup glows in the sun
And in its glow the summer sighs

Outside my window a little sparrow sings,
a composer on violin strings;
and far off a baby cries,
a loud dog replies.
The song drifts,
sighs;
oh, such gifts !
A hummingbird flies,
with wild wings going clock wise;
job done, he leaves on fluttery wings,
outside my window a little sparrow sings.

"Don't get lost in your pain, know that one day your pain will become your cure." ~ Jalaluddin Rumi
The moon wept over withered stars
mirroring the heartbeats of mourning blues,
oblivious to the warmth of dusky truth,
while I bite my lips to suppress the storm,
there, in the soul of the butterfly skyline,
I’ve hand-stitched chronicles of the ache
that dreams like midnight orchids,
cradling confused crevices~
like stone breeze drifting in coldness,
questioning the need to breathe love,
when all I’ve written is marked as myth~
a manipulative vine of twisted nightshade.
But remember, I’ll be the eucalyptus elixir,
the sighs of supernova, soaring to speak~
metaphors beyond the skin of blue comets, forevermore…
Allow me to comb the anger from your hair my dear
with gentle strokes of my melodic care for you,
look at my glowing affection in the smooth mirror of love
as I move your soft mane to the side of your neck
and place my supple lips upon your lower throat with a firm kiss,
let the voice of my deep love reach into the sky of your soul tonight
I've come to explore the Petra of your body and mind
the richness of your color fills my skin
the sweet and natural smell of your longing
plays freely around my nose and tongue
as I enter the narrow passes of your hidden dreams
discovering the treasures that brutes know nothing about,
holding the secrets of your soul close to my chest
the sighs of your delicate heart land on my nerves like thick snowflakes
and they melt so slowly into my carnal desires,
I envelope the back of your hopes with my naked heat,
squeezing my arms around you as we rise to go further
and we join hip to hip
expressing the simmering movements we've felt all along our lips -

A storm blew in when I peered into those dark eyes
Fearing lightning would strike in bolts of midnight fire
Wanting his touch, though it might lead to my demise
Then full lips swept over mine, igniting desire
Thunder roared in my head with each deepening kiss
I heard it drumming in warm breaths against my ear
Fingertips danced lightly over naked skin. This
serenade sings in my heart each time he draws near
Desperate urges and needs filled my torrid mind
I murmured in soft sighs against his stubbled cheek
whispers of hunger I'd never before defined
He sated desires I'd never thought I should seek
Love was a passionate storm at my husband's side
Where we floated on waves higher than at flood tide
The size of one's heart determines if one's heart sighs.

over eighty but still smiley and spry
he met each new day with joy in his eyes
he loved to golf and he loved to bowl
both were his fun and fulfilling goals
one day playing golf with his skilled swing
he scored below par - his favorite thing
he rushed home - happy he had done so well
grabbed his wall phone - there were friends to tell
beginning to dial - he soon lost his smile
as feelings bombed - he just stood awhile
leaning on a wall - he thought of his friends ....
sadly - no one to call - every good life ends
phased and depressed that on that day
truth had hurt his old heart that way
he gasped sad sighs - sank into a chair
and prayed to turn numb then and there
Suddenly
when melancholy arrived,
she engraved the words 'sad'
deep into my manic mind.
Then abandoned me in
a pit of sinister silence.
Who turned out the lights
inside the moon?
Now the horizon looks like tar
and the voices become louder.
Every morning is a miserable melody
in this malady of heavy sighs.
I strum the invisible strings
of my mourning mandolin,
but they keep on weeping
in a chilling refrain,
as each note cuts deeper.
Now my bed is like a crimson river,
soaking in stains of regret,
as daggers of stubbornness,
stab like unspoken words.
These tears taste so acidic.
Eyes feel saggy with dark circles,
like droopy, decaying flowers and
I don't know if I'm tired
or aging too quickly,
so they remain closed.
Time ticks too slowly,
as I remain in stillness,
with a hollow cocoon heart.
Its shell full of cracks,
waiting for happiness to
knock on the door.
Each season breathes a fleeting sigh,
Spring bestows gifts of renewal
Leaving blooms before its goodbye
Summer sizzles with warmth and zest
We lose ourselves in its blue skies
Finding relaxation and rest
Autumn then sets the trees ablaze
And brings a chilling wind our way
In winter, snowflakes catch our gaze

Sultry crowns a lunar face beam connected
fishing in the great lakes crimson shades a shadow
Rising inside echoes see through ice crystal breaking
the temple of an ocean lament treasure sings out sweet sorrow
Cries out seagulls within the silence peaking wave held moment
gasping silence breaks on the seventh crest looking breathless
Whitewashed carpet unfolding before your feet special joy breaks
a shadow kisses the soul of every step taken sweetly blessed
Jewels finding paradise salt of the seabed rises cultured churns
Upon the white surf princess your eyes sparkles unique diamond cut
Though space and time growing into a dream fairy tale magic
faraway glass slipper bride peridot signature colour on the moon
Green corn swaying to whispers upon a breeze drops beneath you
Breaths held in the wind curling around warmly sighs silently gasps
Dancing rose upon the thorns petals blush pink waves enchants
sunlight glistens as dewdrops fall adoring feelings rainbow
Sharing with you the one who holds twilight ever after
faraway united forever and always embracing your grace
