Ruff Poems

Premium Memberi'm going to start wearing a ruff

my son is having weekly online lessons. with
a tutor. that is an assertive declarative fact.
and so is the asiatic toad.
ploughing represents life.

clumsy, stumbling stuff
i now own five different lanyards around my neck
and can get into many places with confidence.
cullinan diamond.

the tutor is a university student. he asks, 'my dad
wants to know what music university students
are listening to nowadays.'
she replies, 'soft rock and pop.'

what happened to the Plastic Ono Band?

In the fashion of a puppy dog
I'll follow you around
And where you sit I'll come beside
And lie there on the ground
Nothing much I'd ask or want
I wouldn't make a sound
But if you look and I'm not there
Here's where I'll be found...

Inside your knitting basket
Asleep within the thread
You touched it so it smells like you
On your scent I've laid my head
Bring my favorite blanket
Should you come to check
It's the green moss guitar t-shirt
With the Bluebird on the neck

Get in line man, there's no need to bark.
Have some patience, you'll soon make your mark.
You think this is bad, Spot?
Just be glad you don't squat.
'Cause that ladies' tree line's out the park!

I HAD 3 FAVORITE PETS BOTH OF WHICH WERE DOGS-Ruff

When I was a teen;
I had a mixed breed;
A female dog-named Lady;
She was kind of shady;
Believe me, she was No! Lady;
Cause, she mated with everybody;
Guess we should have gotten her spayed;
Cause she just kept on have babies/litters after litters

When I was grown…
Ah! And then later on,
I’ve gotten 2 pure-bread Chow-Chows;
You know the ones wit the curly-tails and purple tongues;
A brother and sister pups, and Oh! guess what;
When they got older they listen only to Christian music;
And when a car went by outside with boom-pity-boom-pity rap music
Boom-boom-boom-boom they’d bark, cry and holler ruff,

What’s the matter?
This rap music bothered my Chow’s Jay-Jay and Jaraya

Ruff Ryders

Life is a rough ride. We do laugh at times and rejoice
but we damn sure mourn and cry.
We were born to live and only pass through
some paths on our journey.
We live to learn and learn to live.
I'm costantly learning.
Life has not been a smooth ride for me,
it's been extremely rough.
But it's okay because I find the strength to hold on
and remain determined enough.
I can't control nothing or nobody but me.
I'm somewhat lost right now
but I pray for perseverance and I know one day
I will be happy.
Life looks you dead in your eyes.
It can teach you some lessons if you'r willing to learn
and it can leave you very wise.
Now hold on tight, strap yourself in and prepare
to let the ride begin.

The Mountain @ Elizabeth Ruff

A Imagination that was near it followed me with only fear,
and then it all became a light, it was into the dark ,dark night. The glow
was strong it blinded me on The mountain was a scene. OF Christ just
kneeling there for me. I don't know the reason why, I travel back and forth to see.
I know then he was telling me have FAITH,and LOVE, and Charity.
And have this for      ETERNITY

Herman Ruff

having not known
when he meet death
i find myself the last mourner
none the less
i have grief to shoulder
hidden tears
that have become bolder
as history becomes older
a time in my past
and often remembered moments
that made me what i am
my teacher, my master
words he would not understand
but Herman Ruff
was more than just a man
i was just a teenager
when God put me in his hand
with gospel music
he molded my past
i never let go of what he gave me
it still last
i take that talent and use it
where ever i am
that part of him still lives because
I Am
he put something inside of me
that said "I can"
i can make music
more beautiful than before
i can use my voice
to open hidden doors
i can make people
stand to the floor
with tenors harmony
that makes them beg for more
all this came from a man
i now adore
with words of tribute
that say i could have done more
some where up in Heaven
on the grandest of grand pianos
he sings
giving God the Glory
the way he taught me

In Disbelief @ Elizabeth Ruff

I seen a deepness, hard to describe, it was in only one man's eyes the pain was
there and I could see. But in disbelief I did not go. I wish that I could go back
again so I could call this man a friend. He was caught in a soul with no relief, the
soul was searching for just belief. But i can't find the reason why it travels in time
in disbelief. I wonder why that I can't seek I think it's further then I can reach but
for some reason I regret the soul I search is only
death.                                                                Dedicated   Howard Hughes

A Diamond In the Ruff

Her eyes were like jewels
That has been stolen from a great Egyptian treasure
Her smile was brighter than the northern lights
That reflects off glaciers of ice

A rare specimen of a woman
Whose feet were small, beautiful and petite
As though they has been hand carved
She was perfectly shaped from head to toe
And her skin tone looks as if it had been mixed in caramel and milk

This was beauty in its purist form untouched
Like a rosebud blooming in the warmth of the summer sun
And I must admit she was truly
A Diamond in the Ruff
