Happy New Year

There comes a time when we have to say farewell.
We've traveled these roads nd memories all with a story to tell.
Friends and places we've seen and sadly lost along the way.
Sometimes the words we felt we're just too painful to say.
And so as we face these final hours of this current year,
With others ready to sing and ring in the new year
I close the chapter of another year once more,
And wish hope, peace and happiness for 2024

Premium Member A New Year's Cheer

A New Year's Cheer

Raise your glass to prosperity,
And ring in the New Year with cheer,
Whilst singing out the latter year
Amid the zeal of revelry.

And kiss your darling heartily,
Expressing bonhomie sincere.
Raise your glass to prosperity,
And ring in the New Year with cheer!

Enjoy the fest rhythmically,
Letting old grievances disappear,
And welcome unfeared the New Year
With joy in perpetuity.
Raise your glass to prosperity,
And ring in the New Year with cheer!

New Year Musings

New Year musings
===============

As time flies,
days pass by ,
We bade adieu to the old year
A new dawn awakes .

The wheel of time never stops,
 Nothing lasts but sweet memories
That reverbate in our hearts.

Let us erase heartaches ,and sufferings
and learn from past lessons ,
With celebrations galore everywhere ,
The revellers bubble with excitements ,
Smiling and squealing in delight till midnight ,
thronging to streets to ring in the new year.

We make a list of promises scribbling on the clipboard,
Seeking God's grace on us .
Let the New Year usher in great hopes and possibilities .

A Delightful Nonviolent Wake Up Call

there is a gun somewhere
that will make me happy
a permanent vacation is needed
to erase all memories
living is for the strongest
with the most passionate of wills
with one pull of the trigger
much lighter my heart will be
i omit all volume to all those who
disagree
bravery is a rusty chain with a
pungent fluidity
i think i will do it around christmas
for i am heading to hell anyway
then all can ring in the new year
a little less worry free all because
of me
then again, little renee gives me a kiss
on the cheek
she seems to always read my mind, which
is in this case is necessary
she says good morning by saying
'living is the ultimate trip'
i wake up renewed with confidence
and renee a gratitude hug
i go and fix her some eggos with the butter
flavored syrup that she craves
she tells me to not forget the orange juice
because it helps her to concentrate
i laugh at my sweet savior, smile, and shake
my head with delight
for renee is my reason for living and exactly
why breathing is easier in this life

Premium Member A Better Tomorrow

No fighting crowds
No grabbing for food and drinks
No concerts no parties
Maybe an intimate evening with the dearest
Or the family
Surely deep inside my heart still hoping for
A big crowd in the street midnight
An overwhelming joy and a rejoicing countdown
And incredible fireworks
That can be seen from far
To ring in the new year 2022
Surely a great planning for 2022
A looking forward to a better tomorrow
After you live through 2021
Everyting becomes precious and invaluable
Deserve our love and respect
And we will live more cheerfully
Loving people, loving God, loving ourselves
Besides fighting the virus
To win to live to love to share

Happy New Year

Be not pugnacious accomplices unwilling
To ring in the New Year with festive greetings?
Open hearts freely, and air out old grievances.
Welcome spontaneity with forgiveness.

And seek solace with jovial acquaintances,
Reaffirming reliance in alliances.
Time is a human condition of realism,
Involving biological magnetism.

Were this enlivened fest to last forever,
How bright the outlook for future endeavours?
How flat the path to higher expectations
With friendship extended in merry convention?

There, in the midst, with an imparting party cheer,
A kiss on my love’s lips, and “Happy New Year!”

Jump up and down to celebrate the New Year
Unleash hugs and kisses on those you hold dear
Bring in the New Year with a glass of champagne
I’ll let go of the past, in the past it should remain
Life’s all too short, now is the time to have fun
And so I'll plan quick trip to see my precious son
New opportunities will soon be coming our way
Take every chance; we must all live for today

Joy and laughter are needed for a happy life
Overcome obstacles which can bring us strife
You can make a difference just with a smile!

New Year's Delight

Fireworks explode into a luminous display,
Lighting up the night sky with a spectacular heralding,
“Come my dear, let us ring in the New Year!”
And welcome the event in embracing joyous union,
Toasting prosperity for days following.

And sing with glee, grateful for each other’s company,
Gazing upwards at the lit sky of New Year’s delight.
This captured nocturne to cherish a lifetime lest we remiss
And harbor painful reminiscence without forgiveness;
Though past reflections are prerequisite to the future’s bequest.

Note:
Nocturne: in art – a picture of a night scene.

I look to the new year
with a sense of hope
determination to do better
address the goals that I neglected
knowing as years advance
I only get so many restarts
I wield the power to upgrade
to readjust priorities
wipe last year’s slate
and start anew
I make my list and
and back it up
with concrete strategies
hold my head high
ready to launch the new year

Premium Member Such Souls As These

Christmas is over; everyone's partying, ushering in a new year,
except for the unfortunate few who have no home.
For them, there are no church bells of celebration;
to ring in the New Year.
They sleep atop steam vents to stay warm.
I can't imagine being them; it's hard to fathom
the nightmares that haunt their meager existence.
Invisible in plain sight,
the cold seeps into their bones and crushes their spirits.

Homeless, they're the dregs of modern cities,
and facing scorn, they preserve their dignity in alcohol,
trying to numb reality.
Hope is a luxury they can't afford.
Winter is hell for the mentally ill living on the streets,
for they've lost everything, even who they are as a person:
demeaning and cruel; what was their crime?

Humanity harbors such souls as these at its fringes.
Yet, when I look into their eyes, I don't see a hopeless cause,
I see the same dreams and fears I see in myself.
And it makes me want to cry!
Why are we indifferent to their hurt and humiliation?
Is our lack of pity because we're immune to their pain,
or is it because, like Cain, we are not our brother's keeper?
Or perhaps, it's a little of both!

Make the best of every single day
Even when things don’t go your way.
Wisdom is learned when there is great pain.
Be wise with your words and what you say.
Make time for the ones who matter the most,
sooner then later we all become ghost.
Keep in mind new people are mostly just fads.
A lot of them pass through like
last years bad plaid.
Anger is useless remember to breathe
It only hurts you when you are peeved.
Time to ring in the New Year With a clean slate.
May it bring you happiness in
every memory you make.

The New Year Dream

A New Years dream
I went to bed after the ball dropped
To ring in the New year.
I lay there awhile then off I went.
Into a dream it Had to be done.
There I was in a place I only knew it had to be a dream.
Cars that fly. Trains that hung upside down.
People are wearing funny shoe. That lifts them off the ground.
It was a sight to see.
But I looked and then i woke up.
There was no police and or no crime.
A world where my neighbor was like family.
No name calling,no fighting at all.
It was a dream that maybe some New year it would come true.

Together Ring In the New Year

let forget about trouble
and be brother
and watch the ball
as it fall
let sing and bang
as the end is near
in the cold weather

As I wait for death amid the calm.
I see through the window all of you.
No one can see me and the hearing is dying.
Ring in the New Year and my limbs reach for the warm.
Help me make one last stand.
I love the rain and your food for thought.
I wait patient , youthful and my sap stretched.
I long for your cool breeze and like a dog I bark in warning.
And as the axe falls I shudder and am diminished.
That door slammed angrily and while I wait the rain washes me.
No longer do I feel my age, I see your reflection and your sadness.
And as I slowly die I am placed on the stretcher and I drink my last drop.
But as I lay quivering.
You bathe and place me at the door.
I am no longer naked as you dress me.
A light blinks on and the glitter and charm works.
The clothing is your finest saved by generations and my balls are hung.

Ring In the Newyear
