it’s lonely standing outside the cage
with the left of centre attitude
as
the majority look upon
with disdain
whatever happened to freedom of expression?
the darkness casts no shadows
now that
the sold dream has morphed
into a nightmare
and
the path to dystopia
is starting to get worn
populism has become
democracies illusion
when opinions expressed
go against the grain
whatever happened to
freedom to free speech?
a muzzled voice can’t scream
so they just point
and silently laugh
at the different
but who is laughing?
behind the light the fork tongue speaks
through blinded eyes and closed ears
they perceive it to be true
the oils blackness has now seeped
the 21st century plague has eaten
the jelly brains now blindly follow
question not
when the alarm bell rings
they all stop to sing
its tune
and those standing left of centre
are looked upon with disdain
whatever happened to the right
of having a different opinion?
Tampered photo,
Tampered life,
Born elite,
Married Strife.
Never one mans wife.
Wed to the nation,
System creation.
Freedom lost.
Chosen, at what cost?
Wishful eloper,
Like the in law shirker.
Mother,
Worker,
Food bank opener.
Country ambassador,
The monarchies future.
Press hounded
Hunted creature
Populism fall girl
No one to catch her.
Do state secrets still matter much?
What is so horrible they would reveal
That could really astound as such
Though most horrible are the most real
Compile some selected facts
Into a confident narrative
Bolster it by the visual acts
To make it look imperative
Call all the other theories
Conspiracy and populism
Never mind about your inquiries
That speak of the other ism
States keep their secrets because
Not everything they like to show
No time for repentance, no remorse
For the truth that is kept unknown.
In Ceuta
A Senegalese sat on a stone near the sea
he had tried to get to Spain but didn´t make it.
A nurse spoke to him hugged him.
God smiled down to both of them,
this moment of tenderness.
Not so the monster calling itself the social media
they purred scorn on them.
Not only was he black and she white,
racism is alive, he was also a refugee who had sought a better life
which millions of Europeans had done when persecuted?
when seeking work in the USA
and freedom from oppression.
Europe has become a haven for haters intolerant and obscene
a place where right-winged populism will bring us down the path
to the stone age of Nazism
Pointedly poignant points portend pointillism.
Pontiffs pontificate pointless pointers ponderously.
Pompous poems populate Pompei pottery potently.
Porous *********** portrays Portuguese porta potties.
Poppies pop Popeye’s popular popcorn.
Populist populism pots ponies properly.
Blithering blather blots bloody bleeping blips.
Bloomberg blogs bleach bleating bloated blinks.
Bluebloods bloom black blackberry bloopers.
Bluetooth blizzards blame blurry blackboards.
Blithe blighted bladders blatantly block blades.
Blazing blasts bleed blooming blenders.
Fumbling fumes funerals fast.
Feuding fluid furniture flutters flaps.
Fighting flatulent flamingos flounder.
Floating flotillas flee flying flops.
Families foment future futile forms.
Freaky frozen French fries frighten frogs.
It seems that in any democracy
there’s always a pinch of hypocrisy.
Imperfect of course,
but one can do worse —
in a populist state of "mobocrasy."
Year sixteen dawned with a lot of fuss—
Of Us and the rest all called Versus,
Apart like North-South poles,
No diamonds, both black coals,
Both missing: caught are they in same bus.

Whilst USA entered a post-truth era, the world found its Word of the Year, and India its expertise in politics of populism, call it politics of polarization: nationalists Vs anti-nationals, patriots and not, making up a year of extremes that achieved little. Both the Houses lost over 80% of business time. It seems people on Earth no more feels they are in the same bus, a break-less bus called Earth hurtling down the precipice.

The News has called me populism.
My vote offends the Press.
And when I'm seen with someone else
they start to feel the stress.
I'd talk to them about it,
but that would be unfair.
As any talk between us
might populate a scare.
Horn Combined Not Maligned Haiku
Cat is not a pain
Over house has a free rein
Which is domain.
I did discover,
To interrupt is corrupt;
Always done abrupt.
Is agitator
Also manipulator;
Even a traitor.
Between is schism;
Nationalist populism;
Read in catechism.
Was on Morning show this
morning but kind of re-written
by me.
Liked living at lodge;
Message having a collage;
Painful things did dodge.
Must go to college
So I can obtain knowledge;
Apparently, Trump forgot to do.
My clothes are involved;
Seasonal strictly revolved;
My problem was solved.
Have you ever had
A wife who keeps complaining;
Your will wear same clothes.
(This secret thought I should
expose.)

Didactic desire drives down deluge of thoughts
My memories mingle with this pelter …
Now, Populism drives the thought process
Commune takes communal way
Poverty in conscious
Another deluge is due
Noah is making the ship
Getting ready for the trip
God picks the chosen few
All vague barriers
being washed away by flood -
a new beginning
brings joy through the bleeding tears;
A new born asks, “Who am I?”

Rick’s Big Surprise
Newt hid out in the buckeye state
Nothing tonight added to his slate.
Paul’s grass roots youthful surrogates
Continue quest for delegates
Loss of Liberty is his fear
He slams the fed and wild crowds cheer.
Not much noise from the Romney camp
For on this night they had no amps.
No matter how they spin their grief
Morning found them in disbelief
Nevada did not provide a bump
Nor did the voice of Donald Trump.
Rick pulled off a three state surprise
Populism is on the rise
His crowd has enthusiasm
Frontrunner had painful spasm
Here’s the lesson of the night Mitt
Can’t buy love you have to earn it.
Written after Rick Santorum’s primary and caucus wins in the states of Missouri, Minnesota, and Colorado.
