Love Poem

I was empty at the start, but a shell of a man.
Hopeless drunkard and a menace with no path and no plan.
On the day that we met, I fell in love with your laugh, 
with your smile and your kindness, slowly,
you carved the pain from my past and with each new day
I began to learn

Ones burning up
I'm so tired 
I could sleep for a month.

The rain is cold
I need to awake
As I'm going to a party
That has birthday cake.

My smile will be false
Until I snap back to life
If I can't seem to do it

I close my eyes
Put a smile on my face
And take myself 
To a happy place.

Sitting with a sister in law of mine
listening to music and having a good time.
its cold but who cares we are rugged up
happy the fact where for once not in a rut.
laughing and bopping not a care touch wood around us
kids are finally settled the amount here we could fill a bus.

Green trees

The wind is strong 
The noise is loud
The thunder clapps
Within the clouds.

Rain starts to pour
Hail aswell
The sun will shine again
But not yet i can tell.

The coldness is chilling
Sends shivers through your bones
Nights like these
Who wants to be alone.

I missed one day
Even though i said 
I would submit a poem
Everyday from then

Having a night without mymy kids
Time well needed the break is due
Even though i love them
But needed some hours if only a few. 

So theres another little poem
Ive just made up

starting the day
by sleeping in
makes you rush around 
like a big whirl wind

when you get to finally 
stop rushing around
you sit with a cuppa
and relax with no sound

raining and cold 
doesn't help wanting to sleep
staying warm and cosy
socks on your feet

that's my day
can still hear the rain
i'll set my alarm
so i can't get the blame.

The day was great
sunshine no rain
calm and a tad boring
but then my day became.

hectic as all the rest
kids n dinner
the nights calm and not cold
that's always a winner.

distracted but want to do
what i said i was gonna do
write an on the spot poem
and i'm gonna see it through.

so sorry if this one's 
a bit silly

I heard today  
a different way
to speak your mind
and expressed ways to be kind.

the lines didn't rhyme
to me that is fine
i hope eventually
i will see,

O r maybe find a way to write
what i heard tonight
so i can think each one of you
that has read my poems on poetry soup.
