I spend 80% of the day waiting for you to come home
And the other 20% hoping you won't leave again.
It's never easy
But through the summer's and winter's,
those fresh spring's and chilly fall's
I'll be there.
Right where you left me
The life of a pet is never easy.
Fair maiden with the locks of molten gold,
Whose gentle grace doth make the sun seem dim,
No earthly treasure that the heavens hold
Can match thy virtue, pure in every limb.
Thine eyes, like morning dew upon the rose,
Do awaken all my spirit with delight;
When darkness falls and all the world doth close,
Thy shining tresses guide me through the night.
Sweet lady, let my humble heart draw near,
To tender thee a vow that shall endure;
Through every changing season of the year,
My love for thee abides forever sure.
No fleeting time can fade thy radiant hair,
Nor dim the sweet perfection of thy face;
For God hath framed no creature half so fair,
Nor crowned a maiden with so bright a grace.
I translated this from German to English. Which unfortunately makes it less elegant.
To share my love,
nothing more painful can I imagine,
than to tear my heart in two.
To be bound to someone eternally,
but never fully belong to him
There is neither yes nor no,
just endless desire.
To be betrayed, in the
most cruel way, is not
with the body, but
with the heart.
Chaos of emotions, Love and
Suffering have never been closer to
each other.
How will this End, no
solution in sight
With pain and tears?
I don't know
The obligation, to have to make a decision
weighs heavily on my Shoulders
Longheld sorrows went up in smoke
After every word you wrote or spoke.
Do not cry, my heart
I am still beside you
Hold your remaining breath
Gather your broken dreams
We must walk again
No one hears this pain
No one knows my silence
Fire burns deep inside
Tears flow within my soul
Still, I must smile
Do not leave me, heart
I will stay beside you
Even if worlds depart
Even if bonds are broken
You remain my friend
She chose another journey
My life must not stop
Her memories may hurt
Yet they will make me
I must live for myself
Rise, my heart, rise
Wipe away those tears
Your path still awaits
Your life belongs to you
I will become my light
To chant day and night
It’s not a mantra.
Kept in the heart throughout life
A great commitment...
To revenge or to hurt
It’s not a battle of love.
To offer with devotion
A noble Holy Mass...
To fall victim to sensual pleasure
It’s not a human sacrifice.
For a never-ending affection
A great gift...
To give up this life
It’s not a narrow feeling.
In a Samsara affection
A fulfillment of perfection
Two hours in her closet grew thin,
And her patience even more.
Each dress a "no," nerves start to show,
And her date is at the door.
She snags a sundress off the floor,
And sandals for her feet,
A quick brush through her hair,
And downstairs to meet—
Her young man, who looks up
To unabashedly stare.
A moment she’s frozen
With a "do I even dare?"
Then a smile and indrawn breath,
The boy is surely smitten.
The irony of her dressing escapades
Seems so perfectly befitten.
Ooh La La.
This is a 'decima' poem. A décima poem is a ten-line stanza of poetry, often with a specific rhyme scheme (ABBAACCDDC) and typically featuring eight syllables per line. It can cover a variety of themes, including philosophical, humorous, and political topics, and is popular in Latin America and Spain. (Source: wikipedia.org)
we part where memory leans slow
against the edge of what we were;
your voice remains, a quiet blur
that softens in twilight’s red glow.
I carry what I still can know~
a warmth that time cannot erase,
a trace of love in empty space,
a turning where the heart must bend,
a pause that marks the story’s end,
yet leaves its sweetness in its place.
Darkness grows as the piano plays its song
skin first tasted, becomes
Insatiable & Ravenous.
Eyes turn glassy with a new addiction.
The piano beat slows down,
like the wind's sudden
change,
chasin' the grains of wheat.
I would not live without warm cookies and cold milk, a lady's love or Rainer Marie Rilke
For both you and me
our honey hearts share one
gleeful feeling of free.
New daylight will ever come
to deliver a fresh, new sun
inviting us outside where adored
romantic ‘honey’ feels are begun
with spontaneous fun.
Forever we shall be
a pair love spun
under sky’s playful spree.
His gaze over me
From behind, makes me
To have butterflies
I can’t control how it feels.
I will patiently wait for thee.
I will never break your faith in me.
Who are you?
God
Passion
Forbearance
Whom strides with glory
Mended each fragment of me
Never a button undone
That’s an understatement
That time,
Your good light
Returned with silence by society
Society hasn’t met you have they
No wonder they don’t have manners
Who weaved the universe?
The reason to live
The meaning of life
Such cliches
It’d take 10 generations
Perpetual writing
To fully classify you entirely,
That’s an understatement
This time,
Let me be the one to mend your broken fragments,
Let me be the one to thank you unlike society,
Let me be the one to write perpetually for you,
My Aiden
I keep blossoms under my tongue
like contraband prayer, wet, bruised
a broken smile slides past me
sinister, undone, almost familiar
like contraband prayer, wet, bruised
a fallen guide drowns in mind rain
sinister, undone, almost familiar
seeking the now, an endless present
a fallen guide drowns in mind rain
a door to the cage named life
seeking the now, an endless present
it was never locked, not once
a door to the cage named life
bent, twisted by our hands
it was never locked, not once
we applaud thunder, swallow light
bent, twisted by our hands
I watch until nothing can bleed
we applaud thunder, swallow light
petals stuck between my teeth
I watch until nothing can bleed
sweet rot, a vow in disguise
petals stuck between my teeth
I laugh at saints in glass
sweet rot, a vow in disguise
then choke on the pollen
I laugh at saints in glass
a broken smile slides past me
then choke on the pollen
I keep blossoms under my tongue
a broken smile slides past me
sinister, undone, almost familiar
