Help me

White powdered pill, help me stop the way I feel
Give me the will, show me something real

Take a pile let's sleep a little while
My head on the kitchen tile, if only I went the extra mile
I wouldn't have to deal with the guilt
Can't stand the day so I suffocate under the quilt

Doesn't mean I knelt
You don't have a clue how I felt

No rush, just watch me puke up my guts
I'm having illusions, passing out, seeing you in the vision of confusions

Talk about "reaching out"
As if my minds full of doubt
Stuck banging my head against the wall
All while knowing I'm about to fall, maybe someday I'll hear you call

"You're strong" I guess that's why I'm sitting alone and no place feels quite like home.

Listening to my therapist and the way she talks, yes I've been doing lots of walks
Why do you wanna hear my thoughts?

all you do is write naughts and a few to many crosses
Ignorance is bliss
Don't wanna see your call list

Should I walk through the mist? Or enjoy eternal bliss?

Living I've tried
Still wishing to die
Forever was your lie
My soul denied and dehumanised

Chess

I’m sure you have a hobby,
A passion of some sort,
Some people might like biking,
Others might like naughts.

Although some people might think,
Gardening is the best,
For me I think chess is solely the best,
To the point where I would play for hours on end,
With no rest!

There are pawns and knights and bishops,
Don’t forget the forks,
But wait, there’s more,
Can’t you remember the trades?

This amazing game,
Has a truly amazing aim,
To offer a simple trade,
Could end up to be black pieces’ raid!

Now I’m sure you know,
What makes chess so fun,
This game is truly amazing,
So play this game of thought instead of waste your time and run.

If the Sky Fell

would you try to catch it
if tears cried
down streets
the lies
woukd slide
wind winds and twines
like spine of
gnarled knotted nots of naughts
sea turns as not to see
and earth s

Premium MemberPassion and the Poet

Without fiery passion,
there is no poetry – Oh,
there are jingles of sorts!
jingles of naughts –
Limericks so on, and on
and on – Rhymes two
three and four, or as many
more; but, for a lyric to
soar, or heavily sink to
depths fond hearts dip
and taste-tally together
explore...there must be
great passion, smothering
smoking, burning passion
or nothing at all:

passion above, passion below
as well as within – to the core
of earth-center while breaching
sky tall...or the poet's words,
the vehicles of his being
the reasons for his feeling
the scopes of his seeing
without such divine-juice
his soul-output sputters
and stalls – spent projectiles
from
conforming
passionless
balls –

A Bottle Full of Echoes

A pale moment to reflect everything...
Any recess in our past lifetime
~~A memory is creating ~~
preserved in a bottle with sweet sublime

Any recess in our past lifetime
and beauty from hereafter was
preserved in a bottle with sweet sublime
in an infinite blink of us

And beauty from hereafter was
confiscated without any thoughts
in an infinite blink of us
as we bathe in our future naughts

Confiscated without any thoughts
today will deliver tomorrow
as we bathe in our future naughts
tomorrow will bring a faint echo

Today will deliver tomorrow
~~A memory is creating~~
tomorrow will bring a faint echo
A pale moment to reflect everything...

Descendants Rise

Seeds, they sprout
Sprouts they grow
To the image
Copied below

Descendants rise
Far above
The quagmire
Of our love

Arise and be
All you can
Be inspired
Be a man

Hesitation
Reflects doubt
Direction
Down the spout

Deliberation
Reflects thought
Lead beyond
Needless naughts

Arise and be
All you can
Be desired
Be woman

Descendants rise
From the ash
Of desires
Yes today’s thrash

In ardour
We are sown
Way beyond
What is known

Arise and be
All you can
Be coloured
Be hue man

Be true
Be you

Premium MemberFaster Than Night

FASTER THAN NIGHT
In seeking ways to beat the speed of light,
what folly might be there, to let it be,
obnoxious to the core, we let it go
to never realize a dream the warp can see.

The death we all must know; the naughts and ones,
so fast, we never come to understand,
quite physical, much faster than the sun's
removing who we are to who's been planned.

Our space, still limited, dark matter slows
until there's more, creation by God's plea
who reasons life goes on, but never goes
beyond the limits of our mystery.

Dark energy, propelling speed of light
has reason for the need of ending night.

Blinking Blinkered

Blinkered

Out amongst the milky way
Where the planets walk in silence
There does start a brand new day
It’s an every day occurrence

Blinkered we are by the science
Nothing lives out there they say
Have to listen be compliant
Or get sent to Coventry, hey

There are other earthly spheres
Scattered through the cosmos way
One God mainly is feared
Keeps the inner animal at bay

Walk ye out amongst the comets
Walk amongst the milky way
See the craters as they vomit
All of this is yours to pay

Quicker than a lightening flash
The light ship thunders on it's way
Cosmo Naughts young n brash
Flashing hurtling there today

Finally we meet another
Yes there’s humans this I say
Pattern of one God is a looming
Other species to him pray

Don Johnson 18-may-11

If it rattles round inside your head
slap it on puter till its fed
Blinkered are we bout the cosmos
orderd planning thinks instead

makes sense some plan

Sleep Tight

Heavy eyes too tired for dreaming
and right now, even for sleeping.

Hand wanting to write but thoughts
and inspirations are at naughts.

No energy to do anything except blink.
Brains been on overdrive this week at work I think.

The sofa's looking so enticing and snug.
Just thirty minutes on there, I give a shrug.

Laying down, too tired to fetch a blanket; so lazy.
I stare at the clock and that soon becomes hazy.

I cherish those heavy feelings before sleep takes hold,
for it's in anticipation of a deep slumber soon to unfold.

Breathing

She's not breathing,
I Hope she does in a matter of time,
Right now she's seething,
From all the pain she holds inside,
And now I'm grieving,
For the loss of another beautiful mind,
But reminds me we can all fall down at anytime,
even the resplendent and kind,
If by our own design we choose to resign,

She was too independent of a girl to ask for help,
Maybe it's because she never had nobody to ask,
So she turned to liquid strength from inside of her flask,
And buried her face in a besotted mask,
Basking in an artificial glow that can never last,
Ever harassed by her woe is me thoughts,
Sown by her naughts
Though it's not what she sought,

But then her drinks became her drugs,
And her drugs became her loves,
Her loves became her fate,
And her fate became her hate,
And as of late, can't even stand to suffer,
Looking at herself in a mirror straight,
So she took her drugs to try and sedate,
Not realizing just how many that she ate,
And as her heart slowed to a minuscule rate,
She cried for help but it is already too late...

Us
The poets on this site
All individuals we are
Some, even neighbours, but many from afar
We look through different eyes
Our brains have different thoughts
But we all endeavour and shine
What we write are never naughts.

We come from all walks of life
Unknown to us all
But from what we write and read
We, all walk tall.

Expressing words to share, to understand we learn
To appreciate our others, absorb their internal therm
To see their reason, no need to reason ask
What spurs us all on, is to complete our written tasks

Crosses and Naughts

they go where they go
and we go where we go
but i go where they go
and we go where you go
and they go where they go
and you go where they go
and i go where you go
and go
and go
and go and go

All Over

All over the world I see harried faces
All over the world there's political races
All over the world there is trouble and tyranny
All over the worrld I see gruesome anarchy

To see some placitude I look over yonder
Where fair hearts roam and natures wonder
Alas how poignant life has varied
So mundane and joyless it carries

Adieu to titallating conversation and swell humour
Farewell to unhurried waltzes and superb natter
Sayonara to long leisurely strolls and gentle laughs
Goodbye to dawdling days and dreamy naughts

A race against time is what so often endure
Where idle times and soft chatter seems so obscure
