In the annals of time, a tale untold,
Resides the slavery loop hole, bold.
Within the Constitution, revered and strong,
Lurks a dark verse, where justice went wrong.
Enslavement's grip, it sought to uphold,
A contradiction, a story yet untold.
A clause concealed, with chilling grace,
Deemed humans as chattel, a disgrace.
Through ink-stained words, a nation was bound,
