A partly cloudy day befalls the stage;
Actors from left to night remain a page.

The books left
Flying out
All the words sliding
Leaving the pages
As the books took flight
No words left to describe the night
Fluttering with stiff covers
Pages falling/fading with the light
Fires took our history
Books removed to twist the news
Rewritten by barbarians
With which we are smitten
Cannot lose
The books left
All our words gone in spite
Only ashes remain to light our night

in the group of dewdrops which crystallize loose boundedness
whose coercive force is unmatched among standoffish streets
we maintain the latent misgivings about our absence

In the rain shadow of Majave Desert I eat hot sand
I am singing with their Death Valley
I have allowed them to build my faith under a Joshua Tree
& I feel a pain in the little finger
leaning towards a withered language
I maintain the hollow of the dirty sky
I am split between the Great Basin & Province & the Sonoran Desert where the dark tower is a grave
from one hole to another I seal the capital of decaying with anesthesia

party morning
and we have ascribed to you
your inapprehensible walking
except by lucky guess between
these hedgerows
in languages so far distorted
among dragonflies and flies
we are closed distance
as those houses missing
after the excavation

I have said with pride all my life,
"I am an American!"
We will always be on your side.
Embarressment and shame,
Fill me every day.
Murder and hate crimes increase with no release in sight.
Failing abysmally with our help.
To people here in our communities,
The country, and the world.
Now we grovel in fear,
For what the next day will bring.
Or any loses to those we hold dear.
I am embarrassed and ashamed,
Of the America we became.
Hold little hope,
For any relief.
For what we have become,
As a country, we continue to be undone.

I saw a streak of living flame,
with no regard for rule or name;
It tumbled through the morning grass,
as if the sun had come to pass.
Its paws struck earth in tiny drums,
like thunder where the daylight hums;
The wind bent low to kiss its ear,
the sky leaned down to watch it near.
It charged at leaves, then spun away,
a knight without a war to play;
Its tail a banner, bright and free,
declaring joy for all to see.
And when it stopped, and caught my gaze,
all breath was gone, all time erased;
No crown, no sword, no sky above
just two small eyes, and endless love.

We're goin' out to Idaho where the potatoes grow
honey we're leavin' quite soon
but if you call it quits then I've had my chips
and like the wolf I'll be a-howlin' at the moon
I'm over this Sunshine State yeah I can hardly wait
baby we're leaving at noon
but if you say 'No way!' and you wanna stay
like the wolf I'll be a-howlin' at the moon
if we don't go to Idaho where the potatoes grow
darlin' don't know what I'll do
I can't stand the strain it's drivin' me insane
and like the wolf I'm a-howlin' at the moon
if we load the luggage in the car
and hit the road it ain't that far
no it ain't so far to go
we'll be there before you know
and I won't be a-howlin' at the moon
please don't let me down don't turn this dream around
'cause you don't need to hear me
howlin' like the wolf a-howlin' at the moon

Impossible beauty, summer in swell,
Fragrance aflowing and fluttering around;
Though now, I admit, I don’t see it well,
I know – my ears! – all the birds by their sound.
Heaven surrounds me, but only for now;
Howling the winds that shall crash on my head;
Ripping the flowers that live on the bough,
Never see summer return in its stead.
Perhaps I brought fear – not meaning to do! –
Sometimes I fumble, and words aren’t the best;
The winters must fall, to summer renew;
You’ll see it once more, the world at its crest.
Your seasons return – no reason to sigh! –
No, it’s not summer that passes – but I.

Why am I disturbed by the sight?
Everyone having a fight.
Lost in beliefs they are right.
Never listening to the others light.
The others must be wrong.
Don't look like us or very strong.
Instead, we fight,
Still, no one is right.
Then we look around,
Those are families on the ground.
Neighbors cut and bleeding,
This fighting is so misleading.
Ones in detention are left a mess.
Everyone loses in a fight.
Better to sit down,
Make things right!
This is a great nation.
When laws are followed,
Without hesitation.
Nonviolent protests give us space,
To speak our minds without disgrace!
Violence and destruction,
Will cause an insurrection.
Marshall Law will arrive,
No freedom for either side.

The path is lost where wild winds press,
No compass holds beneath the sky—
We walk alone through wilderness.
The thorns of time, the weight of stress,
The silent trees that do not lie—
The path is lost where wild winds press.
Regret is thick, and hope grows less,
Yet still we look, and still we try—
We walk alone through wilderness.
The stars are veiled, the nights are guess,
And every answer asks us why—
The path is lost where wild winds press.
But in the dark, we still confess
That somewhere deep, a flame won’t die—
We walk alone through wilderness.
Though life may wound and dreams digress,
Our spirit bends but will not die—
The path is lost where wild winds press,
We walk alone through wilderness.

A cheetah was caught on the prowl,
Enticing the females with growl.
He’d vanish by night,
To mate with delight~
A lifestyle that makes others howl.

Don't say anything,
If you can't say something nice!
Best in training,
For dictatorship.
Absolutely divine,
Civil rights advocate.
Well respected leader,
Of Sewer ology.
IQ to match,
Mob leader.
Founded free speech,
With tariff attached.
Obedient follower of the law,
As long as it suits.
Will that suffice?
I thought of something nice.

Look what we've done
But why did you?
Look, we've done it
But should we have?
Why this first?
To be more heard.
Just because we could?
We'll describe.
So what about evolution?
What about it?
Is it not the rule?
Who’s to say?
Was it necessary?
We’ll justify it.
But in the silence
The howl remains.

Ice is a strong force of nature.
Cold and gleaming from within.
Held by no law or direction.
Just a fanciful brain,
Seemingly a twin.
Reminds me of history, not so long ago.
Men in brown shirts on the go.
Stamping to an order that will not last.
No real joy,
Just fear in their grasp.
Too families as planes fly past.
Ice when it changes to water,
Flows on past.
Brings destruction and fear.
While people hold on to beliefs that should cheer.
"We are citizens,
We belong here!"
As men in masks draw near.
Water in its final stage is vapor,
As it ages.
Brave, nonviolent Citizens,
Stand firm and cause a route.
Watching ICE turn to vapor,
As the sun comes out.
